When we returned with friends, I had the meat lasagna, a salad with Italian dressing, and the calamari again. The lasagna was outstanding--rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The menu is extensive, with plenty of choices for everyone, and the quality of the food truly stands out. We alerted the waitress that 2 pepper shakers we tried to use seemed to be out of pepper, but we weren't offered a different shaker. We saw others being offered fresh cracked pepper for their salads, but we were not offered that option. Ambience was fine, but we were seated in a corner table out on the "covered patio" area of the restaurant, and we did not get much attention. Overall, disappointing experience from a service and quality/portion perspective.

Kudos to Server and Chefs. Our long-time server may deserve the Best in Dayton award. She navigates tables and orders with great ease. Jimmy's does an great take-out order, and this is compounded with a full lunch time service. Lots of pizzas and takeout to go, and somehow orders come out in +/_ 20 minutes. Highly recommend, but Not on Mondays.
