After saying it wasn't covered by my Homeowner's Insurance because of a missing part, they quoted me a repair price of $700. I said,"goodbye." After the repair person left, I found the missing part on the ground, near the disconnect box. It was a cover the size of your cell phone that goes between the outside box cover and the a/c wires in the box. I jammed the part back into place, and called the Homeowner's Insurance Company to share the matter with them. After sending them photos, they said they would cover any necessary repairs, and that the HVAC company would come back out. Guess what? The HVAC company never called, dodged my calls, not interested in finishing the job. After a month,Airbender was assigned the job by the homeowner's insurance company and came out. Repair person was like, "no-there's absolutely nothing wrong w your disconnect box. They were just trying to scam you."
