Good place. Fast service, food was delicious and affordable. Great energy from Austin and other employees (didn't catch their names). Overall, a great first experience. We will be back

3.5 stars Summary:…read more- Price - lower average in the area - Clean and spacious - Feels old - QUIET! ******* Heaven must be glad that I broke this habit. I stopped driving past this creepy-looking-place-where-Dexter-does-his-stuff. Okay, it's NOT that bad...but the name itself and where it's located (right along the area where the mini-casino/card-room is) makes me want to stay the fudge away. But since it was labor day weekend [aka everything is jacked the fudge up to empty your hard-earned-via-labor-money] I was at a loss where I wanted to stay since I only needed it for 2 things - rest & showers. I wouldn't have known about this place if locals didn't describe this as a go-to-pit-stop for those who know about it. So I finally gave it a shot and I'd say, YES, I'm glad I stayed here. Quiet and cheap, clean despite age, definitely a WIN any given day.

A solid little motel, but understand, it's far from fancy. We (my husband, & two toddlers) stayed…read morehere on a Friday night & it only seemed half full. Plus it was quiet. It's located in a prime little spot - directly next door is a liquor store (a must for parents who need to make a 9:30 pm strawberry milk run), a Mexican restaurant, a Japanese restaurant, a maybe a block away is a gas station. It's easy to find off the hwy 1 as well as easy to get back onto hwy 1. Parent tip: Dennis the Menace park is 12 min away and super easy to find. This is an older motel; the rooms are dated, but the appliances & tv are modern. There's free wifi, and an impressive assortment of cable channels (including kid channels) & they give you a cute little key for your room. Unfortunately, our room had a little single flimsy lock & my 2.5 yr old figured out how to open in about a hour. I really hope mgmt considers a more secure way to lock their doors; it seems someone could easily break in. I should point out though that my parents were staying in a different room & had two locks on their door. There is no blow dryer & the toiletries are skimpy; bring everything from home. The room itself was clean as are the premises. We wouldn't mind staying again.

I'm a bit surprised with the low rating for this hotel. It's right across the from the state beach…read moreand right off the highway. Check in was easy and the receptionist was very professional and helped out with some local tips. The rooms were clean and everything worked. The best part is that breakfast is included and there was a pretty extensive selection of stuff, waffles, eggs, cereal, coffee etc. Pretty good value overall.

This. Place. SUCKS!…read more You can hear EVERYTHING. The engines and security beeps of every car in the parking lot. The obnoxious kids running and yelling endlessly up and down the hallway outside your door. The neighbor's TV and conversation and snoring in every room adjacent to your own. Every door opening and closing all night long.... And that's just OUTSIDE your room. Inside, the AC/fan is loud and the beds creak and groan every time you breathe. I barely slept might #1 and judging by the crowd of elephants that just entered the room next door, I won't get much more tonight as I'm typing this at 11 PM. The layout of the room is awful. As soon as someone opens the door, everyone inside is blasted by either the outdoor lights or the sun. The bathroom is ridiculously tiny. You can barely get inside to close the door to use the toilet. The shower curtain bar was falling out of the wall, drooping, and causing the curtain to continously slip to the middle of the bar, letting all the shower spray out onto the floor. And nevermind any soft or adjustable lighting--it's all harsh, bright light ricocheting across mirrors so no one can sleep if one person is up. The floor creaks when you walk and was filthy and gritty when we arrived. There's mildew and mold in most corners and all over the bathroom. The toilet seat is such flimsy, cheap plastic you can't sit on it without it sliding half of the toilet or bowing under you. Did I mention that you will hear all the screaming and crying children on either side of you all hours of the night? The parking lot was NEVER full, but the place still put everyone in consecutive rooms when clearly there were empty rooms that could have been used to space us all out to make buffers for noise since this place has zero soundproofing. The room as a whole was grimy and dirty. Stuff on the walls, paint peeling, bathroom and bathtub surfaces cracked, rusted, and moldy. Absolutely disgusting. The only positives I can cite are the blackout curtains (worked well) and that there was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The continental breakfast was okay, too. But if you actually want to sleep on your trip, don't stay here. This place clearly does not care one bit about helping you get a decent night's rest. Never. Ever. Again.

The space had privacy hedges and fencing which was really nice. The campground has a great windbreak with all of the trees so even during a storm it was pretty peaceful until you left the property. Beautiful Yurt Stay with Great Location…read more Our family spent a week in Big Sur staying in cabins, but there was virtually no cell phone reception, which made it impossible for me to work. Since I had to work three days of the week, we chose to stay at Marina Dunes RV Park in a yurt -- and it was even nicer than expected! The yurt was very clean and comfortable, and the bed was great -- we slept so well. Staff were friendly, check-in was easy, and the bathrooms (a short walk away) were cleaned daily and well-maintained. Even though it's close to the Pacific Coast Highway (Highway 1), it was surprisingly quiet. The location is perfect for exploring Monterey, Carmel, and Big Sur. There's a beautiful trail over the dunes that takes you right to the ocean, and just down the street is a state beach entrance and parking lot -- we even rode our bikes there! ‍ The drive from here to Big Sur is absolutely breathtaking and so worth it. Cell reception was excellent for T-Mobile (four bars most of the time), and if you need full 5G, just head up the street to Walmart. We loved it so much we booked another two-week stay later this year, and this time we'll be bringing our RV. Highly recommend!
