We had a long day at the airport & another flight delay so Google brought us here lol We had a warm greeting at the door. We had our backpacks but they took a quick look & we went on our way. We got there around 4:30pm & left around 6ish The front bathrooms on our visit were recently cleaned & were fine. This place Seemed like a local hot spot. Definitely an older casino but had a few updates & a retro vibe. The slots could use a good wipe down. We heard quite a few people winning on their machines. We both left with good wins so we can't complain ;) Outside you have some people wondering around but they didn't bother us waiting for our Uber. Plenty of people coming & going at the time we went. Overall we'd go back if in the area. read more

Some of the previous reviews are obsolete. CLEANLINESS: 3.5 STARS It did not smell, there was little debris on the floor, the chrome on the machines was not gross, bathrooms ok. TIGHTNESS: 3 STARS They claim 91% payout. Seemed ok to us. Saw a woman appearing to win 1800 on a 2.25 bet. BROKEN MACHINES: 3.5 STARS There were some, nothing shocking. Strangely, they had a crowd of out of service ones clustered together out in a public area. CLIENTELLE: 2 STARS I did not feel unsafe, but this sure isn't Foxwoods. Many people, judging by their clothing, demeanor, and vehicles, ought not be spending their money there. Some folks seemed to be just taking up chairs, but maybe they lost all their dough and were chilling. SMOKING LOUNGE: 1 STAR Incredibly insulting area of broken machines and shabby chairs. No HVAC, it is merely a barred cage tacked onto the main building. FREEZING TEMPERATURES: 2 STARS It was very cold throughout the facility, not just isolated pockets MACHINE SELECTION: 3.5 STARS Decent mix, previous reviews mention lots of elderly machines, that is not the case now. read more

Can we talk about how the girls bathrooms are awful? go somewhere else before you go there. Bathrooms dirty, when you wash your hands there is no paper towels to dry with instead you have to use non working hand dryers that if you can get them to work will take a good 10 min to actually dry or you can have wet hands. I don't like any of these choices so there is other casinos nearby that are better options read more

Management sucks. People come in the casino wearing pajamas. Just nasty. The machines are dirty and lots of nasty people sitting on the machines, sleeping. The floor staff red shirts are all cool but everyone else need to be fired. I won several jackpots and not once has a host introduced themselves to me. I hear if you pay them they will treat you and cater to you the way they are supposed to. They all need to be fired! read more

This place is so weird - the location is not great but they have extensive free parking. I went with my mom to go see a concert that was supposed to start at 8:30, but there was a huge line and they wouldnt let anybody into their chairs until 8:30! Instead of wasting out time on the line, we did a loop around the casino. Pleasantly surprised it didn't smell like an ashtray! They have a food area in the back and two big bars. read more

Great place to hang out and have fun, but be AWARE: there is a cashier on the late shift (wearing a suit) who demanded identification to cash a non-jackpot ticket. When I asked why an ID was required, he said, 'Because we want it; we can't cash the ticket without ID.' After I handed him my driver's license, he made a copy of it. I asked him why he made a copy and requested that the copy be returned to me. His response was, 'Because I can, and no, you cannot have it (copy) back.' He then insulted me and stated that he does not care about the patrons or their experiences. This action raised serious concerns for me about identity theft, because this man (the cashier) now has a copy of my driver's license without my consent. I had a horrible experience at the cashier cage on the late shift Sunday, 12/28/25." read more

We went to this location to watch Jai Alai and was disappointed to find out they don't have live jai alai except for once a week. Other than that, the ambiance is only a place in a bad neighborhood for degenerate gamblers. Food is not worth it. Service is lacking. Don't go here... I warned you read more

The establishment has a very clean refreshing environment. It does not smell awful with the cigarette like other Casinos. I brought my girlfriend's sisters to play ome casino machines. First time there and last. One was good enough. No food available at all late at night. Spent $1500 or more and came out penniless . The ATM are few and the majority do not exchange money neither does the cashiers . Too far apart the ones that does. The rest rood have no paper towels and dirty. The music was the only positive note and people having fun with it. Is too far for me. Totally worthless in my case. Ambience ... hard to tell, read more

Came with friends to the Celtic Illusions show at the event venue of the Casino. I don't believe they have renovated that area in decades - maybe since it was built. The seats were dirty and stained which I hope they clean if they plan on holding more events there. The venue has good visibility from any seat and the sound was loud and clear. We went to the casino which has been remolded, but calling themselves world-class is a stretch. Most of the machines we tried had issues with the touch screen. Every time you entered your pin the screen jumped and entered a different number. They probably need to recalibrate those touch screens. There are some poker tables and blackjack tables as well as the slot machines. It was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon. Parking is close by and there is easy access to the casino. They get an extra star because they are Smoke Free! Love that! They do have a room for smokers, but the place does not smell. I'm not a gambler so I won't be back unless they have another show that I may be interested in. I hope they clean the seats before then. read more

I have been coming to Casino Miami for years and have to say, it's one of, if not, my favorite casino in the area. So when I first moved to Miami my job was right down the street from here so on my lunch breaks I would stop by when I had a spare twenty dollar bill lying around. The one thing I have always loved about this casino is that it's smoke free! Smoke free! You can wear whatever you want there guys because you won't smell like an ashtray after! Praise the Lord almighty! The casino is smaller than most, but it's kind of charming that way. The parking lot isn't large either but it doesn't need to be because there isn't heavy traffic, however, it's never an issue to find parking. Mostly slots here but that's ok with me since that's what I play. I can understand that someone may not want to hang out here at night, but is any casino in an area that you'd want to stroll around past dark? I don't think so. I always feel like I do well here on my penny slots. Last trip my five bucks gave me over one hundred dollars. A total score. I have never really lost there, I may have broken even, but for a casino, that's a win! I love Casino Miami, and hope it doesn't change any time soon! read more

Nice casino, clean, pretty good size and nice location. Free self parking in front or covered valet on the side. A bar at either end, disco music playing in the background, no smoking inside but has designated smoking areas outside, good variety of slot machines but no table games, a few video roulette and 2 video blackjack is as close as they get...could possibly be a 4 star but only 2 servers seen in the entire casino, average age is Medicare and i lost $4 in the blink of an eye. Seriously though, the place has potential, its a Monday so its not a very lively crowd might be better on weekends. A few table games would make it a 4 star in my book. read more

Not fancy but being a para mutual casino that is controlled by the state the slots give back an average of 92%. Unlike the Indian reservation casinos that don't have to adhere to any state gambling regulations. Their membership programs does offer a lot of free play a few times a week if you are a regular customer it can add up. Just don't expect Las Vegas here. It's more like a rest stop with slot machines with the patrons to match. Good luck! read more

This is a review for the Jai Alai Fronton only: As others have mentioned, the jai alai facilities are quite dilapidated (the Hertz rental ad features a brown convertible from the 90s, for example). This is certainly true. But remember, no one questions the scars, barnacles and parasites marring a right whale because they prove the animal's age and maturity, and thus the promise that the rich oil it carries in its massive head and body outweighs that of younger, more attractive whales. Similarly, no one should take the Jai Alai facility's run-down decor to be anything but a sign of longevity that can only be achieved through strength, determination and intelligence. And just like how a whale corpse, when sunk to the bottom of the ocean nourishes thousands of organisms for up to three years, a single trip to the Jai Alai fronton will fill your mind and soul with seemingly limitless peace and satisfaction. Always bet on Xabat!! This place is a relic of Miami's past and once inside it's like traveling back to when before the Cocaine Cowbays transformed Miami into the sexy bytch she is now. Jai Alai is sport that originated in the Bsque region of Spain and brought here from terrorist/freedom fighters during their winters off from trying to secede from Spain (i made that up but it makes for a better story i think). At one point this sport was huge in Miami even though the games were often fixed but if you ain't cheating, you are not trying is what they say. When i say huge, I mean compared to an average Marlins game. The world record audience for a fronton was 15,000+ in Miami during the mid 70's. Also, the Marlins suck From what I understand, Miami Jai Alai was at one point considered the Yankee Stadium of Jai Alai read more

Terrible Casino. This casino was recently sold to a group out of Las Vegas that has no clue about the local South Florida market. Well today i was visiting this casino for the first time before heading home .. and i noticed they had live singers in the back. That was something different and entertaining. They also had a karaoke competition which kept me there even longer. But i noticed they did not reward the good singers and who ever was in charge was extremely not organized with the whole competition. I believe there were two top singers and one wasn't even given a place and the other was given the 3rd place. It was a shame that the good singers were not correctly recognized. I would of loved for them to continue singing, as they were very entertaining. I hope someone with a talented background would take over to improve the quality of these type of competition. Yaaay they greeted me with smiles and open arms. I liked that it didn't smell like an ashtray upon entering. I received lots of help playing the slots as well as other games. Black jack was my favorite. The biggest perk was the $50 FREE PLAY where you can use up to $50 on most games. Black jack and roulette are not included but the money that you win from the slots can be easily used for both. I thought the drinks were free but to my surprise they were moderately priced but a little watered down. I wo. About two hundred dollars so I took my money and ran. Lol I will definitely be visiting this casino again because of the service overall atmosphere and you get perks for your birthday as well as free play money when you bring a new person to sign up. read more

$50 new player credit is a scam. It's true what a fellow yelper posted. My wife and I went here, got our new player cards with $50 in free slot play. I played 3 slots, was down to $44 on my card, went to the next slot and card said $0 available! Went up to the cashier and told them there was a problem, she said "no". Knowing that by using my new card they could track my playing I asked her to look it up. She said "yes your card is at $0". I said no way, how? I had $44 left. She said looks like slot number 1530 you placed a $50 bet and lost. I said there is no way, I was playing penny slots, there is no $50 bet! We went to go look at the slots we played and we wouldn't even find slot number 1530! Long story short, not worth going for the $50 free slot play, maybe you'll get to use it all (my wife actually did) but maybe you won't. read more

The world's fastest game! A brief history: The Jai-Alai was a main attraction in Miami during the 50's and 60's. In 1968, the players went on strike and management decided to blacklist them entirely. The strike, along with the Florida Lottery, devastated the industry and is part of the reason the place has gone down hill- Poor management has also been a contributing factor. I've been going with my pops since I was 6- I'm now 28- and not one piece of decor has been changed since. Routine maintenance usually gets a band aid and as a result, the structure has slowly deteriorated. However, If you can get over some of the eyesores, this place is actually the bomb! On Sundays the entrance is free and they have $1 drafts- Who can beat that?! And you can bet as little as a dollar on a 20 minute set (there are 12 sets in total). The programs are a dollar but you can probably find a free one on the floor. The bottom line is that It's a cool place, with cheap beer and a laid back environment that is awesome, especially when accompanied by friends. Supposedly management is preparing to undergo a multi-million dollar renovation. Miami-Dade county recently passed legislation that would allow the Jai-Alai to incorporate slot machines. I think this will be a huge boost for the Jai-Alai as well as the surrounding communities. Before the renovations begin, Y'all should checkout one of the last time capsules left in Miami. read more

During my recent trip to Miami I have to say that Jai-Alai was certainly the most memorable thing i did. ok, yes, the place needs a renovation, yes, its empty, it feels like the 60s ... yes, all of that is true. but that is part of the charm. I was completely fascinated to find a sport that is extremely interesting, but is outside all of the commercial TV business. I admit that I didn't understand all of the rules, but figured out enough to enjoy the game and have a blast. I honestly have no idea why not more Miamians go and watch the game. it's $1 to get in and for that you get more than 4 hours worth of entertainment ... tell me a place where you get that much for your money. this is a place that is far off the beaten tourist map ... but it provides a glimpse into the Miami of the earlier times ... when everything wasn't shiny and glittery. on top of the fun game, i have to say that the Miami Jai-Alai logo is just amazing ... my business advice to them would be to sell cool t-shirts with that logo. read more

I must preface this by saying that I am not a gambler. I do love Jai Alai and frequented this place back in the mid 80's.... just as soon as I turned 18. Yeah, I'm old. Lets move on. Now they only play in the afternoon and do not have ANY night time games. Which sucks. My mom likes to play slots and I accompanied her the other night. The casino is clean and the machines aren't all on top of each other. But the absolute best aspect of this place is that it is Non-Smoking!!!! If you have ever been to Miccosukee casino and after just half hour you come out smelling like an ashtray, then you can understand my joy! We signed up for their players club and we were given $50 of free play. Score! So I came in planning on watching some Jai Alai and was bitterly disappointed. But then they give me $50 to play and I "won" $100 while playing with their money and no out of pocket. Score! I wouldn't mind coming here again and would love it if they would play Jai Alai in the evening. read more

I have been trying to do the casino circuit in South Florida. I was down to 2 on my list: Casino Miami and the Isles in Pompano. I finally made it to Casino Miami. I was scared at first because the building look...old. REALLY old. Luckily looks can be deceiving. Firstly, there was plenty of parking. The neighborhood looks a little sketchy, but there is a police car patrolling the parking lot. Immediately I felt safe and proceeded inside. The casino was much nicer and bigger than I expected! I had previously been to Hialeah Racetrack casino and was extremely disappointed at the small amount of slots and the very small casino gaming floor. This was nicely laid out, with a separate poker room and a separate room for only video black jack and roulette. I was very happy to see a bunch of casino games I recognized. Some of the slots were not as nice as those in the Hard Rock, but this is not the Hard Rock. The people watching is very interesting. A wide swath of Miamians flock here to recreational gamble, although I noticed quite a few people who looked like they were wasting away their paychecks. I did not find too many friendly people and the staff was very stand-offish. The hidden jewel in the rough was definitely the bar. Trust me, it does not look like much. Before walking up I was scared they only served wine and beer. We ordered two well drinks and were surprised it was only $10! WOW, and let me tell you it was a good pour. Not a bad drink or price for a Friday night. Overall, my experience was positive. It certainly was better than I thought it was going to be. read more
