Instead of being welcomed as a costumer, I was immediately treated like a criminal because I used an out of state check to start my account. Even after the check had cleared ( meaning they physically had my money), they had contacted my previous institution, and I had started a direct deposit, they still refused to remove an excessively long, seemingly punitive hold off of my account. A manager there even doubted I had the funds after the funds were in their possession. I have lived in many placed and used many banks and I have never had an experience this bad, stay away from this bank. After navigating a long phone tree I got to a customer service rep who said she was transferring me to the nearest bank branch. Insert palm into face here. Was transferred instead to a different bank but fortunately, the person that answered the phone took the time to answer my questions, contacted my nearest Chase Bank branch to me, and called me back with the answers I needed.
