I've been to my fair share of pawn shops. Back in college, I went through the phone book (what's that?!) looking for pawn shops I hadn't gone to before and drove up to an hour to go pawn shop diving. This one is probably the best pawn shop in the North Dallas area. Why? Because their staff is actually pretty helpful. As a college student, I wanted to get a digital multimeter but was too poor to own one. I got to chatting with one of the employees and he said, "Hey, I need my brakes done. I'll trade you this multimeter for a brake job." Done and done. Merry Christmas to all! Mainly I'm in there looking for tools. They've lost their license to sell guns, but they're trying to get that back. They have a decent amount of power tools, lots of stereo equipment, DVDs, golf clubs, the usual, but a good amount of all of it. Their prices are usually pretty good. Some of it would give eBay a run for it's money and if I'm buying it at a pawnshop, I'm definitely getting a better deal than online. I'd recommend this place and anytime I'm in the Valley View Mall area, I'll stop by this pawnshop to just look around. If you have lots of tools, I'd appreciate it if you pawned them here. They are currently trying their hardest to keep my Glock .357 I recently allowed my brother to pawn. From the first day I pawned it, I felt like they were going to try to keep it just by them offering more than expected. Today Oct 16, 2020, My brother showed them everything they asked for to get the gun, not to mention countless trips back and forth, and afterwards, they are still not trying to give my firearm to him. I am so upset with their quality and customer service. This place operates in the most damaging way to a customers outlook on what a pawn shop should be like. The managers are worse than the regular employees which is incredibly annoying. They sold me defected laptops/ desktop computers in the past, I only delt with them again because I liked Jesse, but he has limitations. They will sell you items that are in horrible condition. They will not let you fax or email them any copies if you are unable to pick up your items, they still operate like it's 1700s using old systems to operate their crappy business with their crappy management. Luis at your Rufe Snow location is incredibly rude and nasty. He doesn't belong in customer service. You won't get anymore of my business if I have to deal with him. I said I was there to put money on my layaway and before I could pull my receipt out he nastily says "Well I gotta know what you have I don't know what you're putting money on!" The better response would be whats your name or do you have your receipt.
