This place is so HORRIBLE!! Don't get a loan from here the interest rates are ridiculous so you'll be paying them double the amount you loaned. I got a loan in October during a tough time and all I've been paying is interest up to now. My loan on the website is still the exact amount I loaned. It's crazy they take advantage of people in tough situations because they know they don't have any options. Not to mention the employees are rude and lie. I called to ask if they can change my payment method they said they did then I was charged again on the payment method I asked to change. A loan shark would be a better bet than these guys. If you're in a tough spot try every other option rather than come to this place. The will take advantage of you and you'll pay double the money back. read more

We were in a financial bind and CASH 1 was there to help us when no other lending institution would. They have very high interest loans but if you pay it back quickly you won't end up paying that much interest back. Loans are generally $100 to $2,500. Be careful and choose the amount best for you and bi-weekly payment. There is no reason to fall behind and become delinquent because you should only borrow what you can pay back comfortably every two weeks generally a pay day. read more

As I waited for about 12 hours to post this, because I wanted a chance to gather my thoughts and calm down, I still find myself COMPLETELY disappointed in the customer service I received today. I got a loan through Cash 1 about 4-6 months ago. I called in last week to see how much was owed so that I could pay it off in full. The person on the phone (a woman) told me my total but also said that I needed to come in as they had a new system and that I was eligible for a bigger loan and had more options etc. because of this new system they had. I came in today as I had a little bit of time to spare to see what this whole thing was about. An African American woman (only for description purposes because I don't know her name) with glasses proceeded to help me. She stated that I needed to fill out another form minus my name and references because they still had that on file, but the new system lost all my employment information. I went ahead and did it and while she put the new information in, she stated that I could get like $82.00 extra on my loan, lol. I stated that I thought that was a joke and I wasn't interested, yet I was interested in why they wanted me to come in for missing info and to offer my chump change instead of just asking me for the info over the phone. I also asked when I had a loan with them for awhile and proved my credibility, did they offer higher amounts to be loaned out based on timely payments etc. She told me "sometimes". HA. I asked her about 3-4 more questions and her answers were always "maybe, sometimes, sorta, possibly, whatever the system tells me, they don't tell us that" etc. I told her that I felt those weren't sufficient answers and that I wanted to talk to someone else that maybe had legitimate answers. She took offense to it and said I was being rude and that I should leave. She honestly couldn't handle that I was asking legitimate questions and she could not provide legitimate answers. She then proceeded to tell me the way I was making her feel. I told her that I simply asked questions, she couldn't deliver and that she herself felt the way she did on her own. She then proceeded to tell me to call the Corporate Office if I wanted to complain with a huge attitude. I told her I didn't want to complain, I just wanted some answers and someone to talk to me that wasn't in a bad mood or feeling like she was better than me. She told me it was because of my credit. I then asked her what credit score were they looking for and she said she didn't know. As she looked me up and down numerous times, in what I perceived as judgment, she just gave me answers that made her feel higher than me i.e. "your credit score isn't high enough, you don't have enough payments in, we don't offer higher amounts to people in your situation" etc. I couldn't believe it. I just said "BYYYYE" and walked out. About an hour or two later, I received a reminder call stating that my loan payment was due on Friday the 15th. I thought to myself, that's weird, because my loan is always due on the 17th. I called them and asked them what was going on. They told me it was because if your bill is due on a Saturday or Sunday, they would take it out on the Friday before and that it was in my contract I signed. I said ok, that's weird, I don't remember seeing that, but I believed her. I also asked if she could stop the payment until Monday as that is when I figured it would be taken out. She told me that she would have to delete my banking information so that this could be done and that I would have to come in on Sunday to pay for it and update my banking information since that was the actual day (the 17th that it was due). I thought that it was weird because she said they were charging me on Friday because the banks aren't open on Sundays. Now she is saying that I can come in on Sundays and make the payment and it would post immediately. So, first they want to charge on Friday because payment fell on a Sunday, yet they want me to come in and pay on Sunday (my actual due date) because they can charge me then etc. NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE. NONE OF IT. SO RUDE, SO JUDGMENTAL. I will pay off my LOAN ASAP and go somewhere else. I appreciated the fact that they came through and gave me a loan, but then the customer service and all the crappy attitudes that I got after were ridiculous and uncalled for. read more

I had a loan and after making payments for a couple of months I received a text to get more money if I needed. I accepted and went to this branch. The rep told me my new payment had me sign paperwork that he did not go over. One week later I expected the money to be deducted from the same account, it was not. I found out they tried to take it from an old account I have with no funds in it. I was charged a $35 overdraft. I called corporate and was told that the rep should have gone over the paperwork and they will not reimburse me for the overdraft. Unprofessional, take your business elsewhere. Man screw you cash1 ! First of all if you're wondering why I paid cash 1 off so quickly is that because you guys or like your associate @ the store said it's the system and we have no control over it I was LOWBALLED by your system the other day !! I've been coming in for along time probably took my 16th or more loan out with ya .The very first time I took a loan out with ya I was qualified for $700 everytime I've been to your location $700 -$750 ,nothing more but nothing less!! I've been going to your competitors also for the same amount of time also when I take a loan from you i and you can believe or bet on it i have or usually have a registration loan out with speedy cash , Ace check cash, check smart and Title max!! I have records to prove so . All those competitors I've just named to ya I give them the same credentials that I've given your store when I apply for a loan same info that you your store has on file for years !! Just I know you guys need it for an update. Those other competitors in the beginning gave me or approved me for $700 back in the days also.  But because I've taken out the same amount of loan with them like I have done with cash1 I'm at $1,600 with speedy $1,400 with Ace check cashing I'm up too $1375 with check smart and $995 with Title max . They've all giving me a bump because when the competitors all gave me the magical $700 in the beginning with a 18 month or more term I would pay it off soon or 4-6 months tops !! Like I've done with you guys !! My info that I applied or apply to all those stores including cash 1 has not changed my credit score back in the days was in the mid 500's now I'm a 630 score and Cash 1 lowballs me and qualified me for $600 when other stores give me insensitives for paying off early and on time??? Smfh!! The day I paid cash 1 off on June 9th 2018 I went to speedy cash also and paid off $1649.98 that was with the daily interest that accumulated.  And Ace check cashing $967.34 out of the $1400 I was qualified for and also check smart I paid them their $216 out of the $995 I was qualified for on the same day I paid cash 1 off !! And I paid them off early as well. I believe me I will get a bump up when I go in for another loan!! BUT NOT WITH CAS1 !! I will never refer a friend to cash 1 screw that specially when you low ball loyal longterm customers that have been with you for Quite awhile and a company like yours that the only bump I got from cas 1 is from $700 -$750 and now dropped to $600?? When the other registration loan places started at the same loan amount like you guys and look where I'm at with them . And dont blow smoke up my ass and say we're different than those companies because you're all the same!! Except you guys dont give bumps on loans to customers like myself that makes you guys money specifically on the intrest I pay on that dollar amount!! You just loss a customer !! read more

This store is the closest to my home and I have regularly frequented it for check cashing. They don't have the lowest fees but they are close by. This year I had the need to purchase money orders from them. I found after purchasing them over a period of a few months, that I didn't actually need them. They were never filled out and had the receipts still attached. I expected to be able to return them. There are no printed restrictions on the money order...you know, like an expiration date so I anticipated no resistance. However, resistance is what I got. First, it appears that they wont take them back at all. They will cash them with a fee if they are less than 30 days old (company policy not money order restrictions) and if they are more than 30 days old they wont support it at all. Interesting to see a business that sells a product that they knowingly don't support. No return policy. No standing behind it. their own website says "You can't go wrong with a money order" when it should say "buy at your own risk". Went there for years...now I wont be going back. I don't agree with companies that wont stand behind the products or services that they offer. read more
