This is definitely one of my favorite stores to pop into when I was visiting Boothbay Harbor for a…read morelittle shopping excursion. I love that it is run solely by volunteers and artist they each take turns manning the store. The art ranges from photos to clay art to jewelry and so much more . Artist are always bringing in new pieces so definitely revisit maybe once a month if you're in the area, I felt price and was very reasonable, especially since it was art. The store itself was very neat, clean, and organized . There was a kind gentleman who was helping me check out on July 5. He held good conversation and even helped me pick out a good piece of art that I was looking at. I try to hit up local artisan places because I feel they truly know the beauty of their own home as it is in their backyard.

Boothbay Harbor Artisans Co-Op is a must stop if you're visiting the area. It's been owned and…read moreoperated by over 50 local Maine Artisans for the past 35+ years. I walked by and was instantly intrigued by what I saw when I walked past the front door. There is truly something for everyone in here. I was instantly drawn to the beautiful glass fused jewelry who was made by the artisan who happened to be working the shop that day, Lori. All of the handmade jewelry here was so beautiful- fused glass, sea glass, and my favorite dichroic glass jewelry. I ended up buying a matching dichroic glass pendant and ring set for $30 total. I get complimented constantly on them. I wanted to buy so much more!! Another of my favorites in the store was Queen Bee Herbal- natural soaps, lotions, bath bombs, and things of that nature. I chose the lemon chiffon hand & body cream because it smelled so delicious. I also bought about 6 of the bath bombs because hey, those are awesome! I just found her facebook page "Queen Bee Herbal" so I could find out where to buy more hand cream! Luckily it looks like she does the farmers market in Portland! I could have spent so much money in here. Another artisan creates drawings/paintings of cats, dogs, or horses frolicking along the beach having a good time like they are human beings. So whimsical and cute! Who doesn't have a crazy cat lady in their life? Oh and zombie knomes! Seriously so much cool stuff go check it out! Another spot in Bath that I think is worth coming into and looking around. They have a large…read morevariety of art from many different artists. Which I think spots like this are a great way to showcase so many different types of art because art is so subjective every piece will attract people who enjoy it. They definitely had some pieces I enjoyed, while some were definitely not things I would care for, but many would disagree with me I'm sure. We were greeted with a friendly welcome, and since we just did a quick browse that was our only interaction but the worker or owner did seem keen on helping others who were there so that's a plus for customer service. Lastly like I said art is subjective and an artist can put any value they'd like so long as it sells but some prices for pieces my wife or I liked deterred us from thinking about buying them. Despite this I like spots like this for the fact it is a place that can showcase so many artists in one spot. It truly allows for everyone to find their right piece of art and every artist to find their audience. A shop worth stopping at during your stroll in Bath Maine!

I have to say that this gallery has a great selection of interesting art. Like many galleries,…read morethere were some pieces that I loved (beautiful woven rugs, delicate silver jewelry, and unique artwork in many mediums), and some pieces that I didn't quite care for (weird puppets, painted pottery, and wool hats), but art is subjective! Definitely a place to stop just to take a look or to find a statement piece for your home (if you can afford it!!)
