Marco's Pizza

Marco's Pizza

I have always been a huge fan of this Marcos, but you need to go early in the day when there are…read moreadults running the show. I ordered online and went to the store to pickup. It was wrong. They remade the pizza and it was wrong again. The 3 guys in the store were more interested in their phones than working. I wasn't offered a discount for the exceptionally long wait or the wrong pizza.

I discovered today I had never reviewed Marco's. I would have bet you that I had already but…read moreevidently not. My sister and I ordered for everyone back at her work, three sandwiches and a pizza. We experienced friendly service. So friendly that upon discovering they made our pizza with the wrong crust they remade it with the correct crust and gave us the one on the wrong crust for free. Extra free pizza, woohoo! We ordered a 12 inch and 6 inch Meatball sub plus a 12 inch Steak & Cheese sub. All of the sandwiches were double wrapped in thick paper to keep them together and warm for the ride back. My sister and I split the six inch so we could eat some pizza too. Everyone enjoyed their sub sandwich meals. We ordered a small pizza which is 10 inches. I love this option. Most places stop with their medium being the smallest. The ten inch was perfect for two people to split. Marco's has ground beef as one of their ingredients. I was not aware of this so I'll be coming back frequently now because a lot of places do not offer ground beef. I'm not particularly fond of sausage or pepperoni as meat options. We supplemented our pizza with green peppers and onions. I thought the pizza on their very thin crust was outstanding. Plenty of parking is available as the video rental store that shared the building, closed down a couple of years ago and moved out. Park anywhere you like in the big lot.

Donatos Pizza - The Works

Did you know: This Donatos has a drive-thru! I feel like that's a unique thing for a pizza place to…read morehave. It was easy to order online, and then pick up without having to get out of the car. Modern conveniences! Donatos does this thing where they cut their pizzas "party style," which means they just cut intersecting lines across the whole pizza. So some of the pieces in the middle have no crust, some of the pieces on the edge are one-bite sized, and all of them are really annoying. They cut their pizzas this way standard, but if you don't want it cut this way, you can request that they slice it the more typical (correct) way. We got The Works, which had peppers, onions and mushrooms on it, plus sausage and pepperoni. The crust is thin, and I wish it were a little more crispy, but overall, it was good. If you go to Donatos, you might as well get their thin crust, because that's what they specialize in. Don't do what I did and get a thicker crust, because they just don't do thicker crusts. Nevertheless, my children like thicker crusts, so I got a half and half with cheese on one side and pepperoni on the other. I didn't finish my slice of pepperoni -- it just wasn't worth the calories. One of the best things about this Donatos experience is that it was easy to order, it was easy to pick up, and the pizzas were ready on time.

I order an individual pizza, side of wings, and garlic Asiago cheese bread, and a beverage. Along with the wings I ordered an extra cup of the hot sauce. The hot sauce didn't make it to the delivery however so that's no good. The individual pizza is pretty small so definitely take it at its word and don't try to have 2+ people eat it!! Garlic Asiago bread was enormous. Side of wings is 5 wings so again good for 1 person but not to share. As this was for me and me alone it was plenty and I had some leftovers. Would eat here again.

This place is 20 min from me and I had to wait because I ordered it too soon. I got here faster than intended. I am 39 weeks pregnant and I was starving lol. There are several Casey's in the community, but since I usually fuel up at one of the gas stations that is along my planned route, I rarely need to fuel up while near a Casey's. My wife was driving to the downtown Mooresville area and realized she was low on fuel, so she pulled into this easily accessible location at the corner of Bridge and Indianapolis. The lot & gas pumps are accessible from both streets and there is a stop light that helps manage traffic flow though at times, the lines backing up from the light can impede immediate access to this location. When she pulled in, we found the lot to be clean of debris and the pumps all seemed to be in good condition. One oddity was that each pull up station had a pump for regular unleaded and a separate pump for high grade unleaded. I found it odd that there were no pumps for Diesel! Not sure why they decided to exclude them, but maybe they wanted to avoid having large vehicles making their space congested. Who knows? Anyway, there were no problems with the pump my wife pulled up to and she paid there without having to go into the general store. I noticed they also had a cooler for bagged ice and a propane tank collection/check out by the entrance to the general store. I have to admit that I've never been a fan of trying food from a gas station. Something about the phrase "Eat here and get gas" just doesn't appeal to me. Maybe one day I'll stop inside the general store to get an idea of what they have on hand, and maybe even check out the food (sandwiches seem to be available too.) Bur for now, I wanted to let people know that as a gas station (unleaded), they seem to be a pretty good place as far as accessibility, cleanliness, and pricing. Review #3773

To the left, as you enter, is the game area with 5 pool tables, a dart board, a video game, and a shuffle board area. To your right of the main bar is the dining and D. J. area. There are 8 6-top tall tables for larger groups. For those who need regular tables, there are many along the bar. You'll find a second smaller bar with 11 bar stools for super busy nights. Want to watch a game? Then you're in luck since you can see a flatscreen wherever you sit. Looking for a night of music, then you're in the right spot. Just check their website for the details. This bar offers something for every person who enjoys tasty food, music, a place to enjoy pool, darts, pull-tabs, and shuffleboard. The main u-shaped bar is large (30 stools), with many regulars who are recognized as soon they enter. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming to everyone. The menu has the typical pub food with daily specials. The appetizers are plentiful, and many are large enough for a main course such as the Heavy Slop Tots, Mile High Nachos, Loaded Potato Wedges, 5 Pepperoni Breadsticks or Wings. The Heavy Supreme Salad is different topped with sausage, pepperoni, and then regular salad ingredients. The chili, loaded or not, is good. Loaded is my personal preference, but hubby prefers just the small, diced onions. The past week, I ordered their excellent baked potato and topped it off with my loaded chili. So good! All kinds of sandwiches and wraps provide a nice selection to choose from, and each sandwich is served with one side (upgrades available). The Reuben served with onion rings was tasty. Both were a tad greasy, but the rings are deep-fried, of course. The 1/2 lb pork tenderloin is huge and can be prepared grilled or breaded. My husband has gotten it grilled, and he asked they add Cajun Seasoning, which they happily did. Another popular choice is the fish sandwich (cod or tilapia) and grilled or breaded. Reasonably priced dinner options include a Sirloin Steak, NY Strip, Grilled Chicken, Fish (cod or tilapia) prepared your way. Heavy's round's out the dinner menu with New Orleans Pasta or Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta and even Fajitas. We made a specific trip Friday evening so my husband could try the Slow Roasted Prime Rib. Your portion size option is 10 oz. ($15.49) or 16 oz. ($18.49). The server had raved on and on, so he was looking forward to a decent Prime Rib. It was anything but good!! As you can see from the attached picture, it was a lump of fat. Maybe it was just an off night, but neither of us will order again. The sides were great, and as I noted before, the baked potato is really good. Pizza, calzones, and Strombolis are perfect for large groups to share. Our servers were friendly, attentive, and hustled. Other than the extremely fatty Prime Rib, everything we've ordered has been good.
