The pepperoni honey pie was recommended so we tried out the hot and sweet pizza. Yummy, yummy. The restaurant smells delicious and is super clean. The whole kitchen prep area is open and you can watch them prepare the dough and make your pizza. The wood stove is the amazing centerpiece of the kitchen. Breadsticks were so delicious, they were only slightly firm on the outside and super soft and chewy on the inside. Pizzas were a bit on the greasy side (like puddles underneath them), but were good. Pepperoni was spicier than expected (which wasn't a bad thing) and the Cheese Boss was (dare I say) almost too cheesy. Definitely worth giving a try if you're looking for good pizza on the go.

Sadly, even with all the pizza places in town, my favorite was still, as much as I hate to admit, Pizza Hut...until last night after trying Mama Fazio's. We ordered breadsticks and an XL (18 inch) supreme pizza (no anchovies)to be delivered to the new brewery in town. I loved that the breadsticks orders each included two dipping sauces--no fighting over dipping choices there! The breadsticks were soft and well seasoned. The supreme pizza was amazing, even warmed up for lunch today. Toppings stuffed high and covered in fresh mozzarella cheese. I think this is the only pizza place in Crawfordsville with ground sausage other than Arni's. My only complaint is that they used canned mushrooms instead of fresh. That actually tends to be a deal-breaker for me, but the rest of the pizza was so good that I can overlook it! I see a lot of orders from Mama Fazio's in our future.

It's one of the best in town, which isn't saying much. If you want to try the blandest pizza in all the land Crawfordsville is the place. Arnis with their tomato paste sauce. The flop was real. Real bad. Cheese thicker than crust. No flakiness. Too much oil not enough flour. Sauce is real good. Pepperoni spicy. Too much cheese. Basic. But might be the best pizza in Crawfordsville. Which isn't saying much. Three stars is on the salad, breadsticks, and wings. The sauce came on the side which looked like the nacho cheese I ordered for the breadsticks. Salad was good. Not Arni's good, but it's hard to screw up a salad. When you order pizza you hardly get any sauce and have to request extra sauce to even taste it. It is also completely flavorless! Ordered mushrooms on our pizza and got canned/jarred mushrooms! How awful, no fresh ingredients? Just terrible! This is NOT like the old pizza kings that used to be!!!!! Plus they have been charging over 3% fees for your order total for using a debit card. I ordered a lot of pizza through them for my organization and personally. Probably about $100 a month. Well, guess I gotta figure something else out. I have been ordering Domino's delivery since 2006. I know franchise owners. But, I need delivery. Good luck Domino's. And remember, this isn't the city. Rural communities do better with larger delivery ranges.
