But, they've got a pretty damn friendly staff and a great selection of food in the hot box or off the grill. I say "great" like it's not all deep fried heart attacks waiting to happen, but you get what I'm saying. Crispitos are on point. Pizza (when you can catch it fresh) is loaded with toppings. Beer is usually cold, decent selection of sodas, and the snacks are limitless. If you're passing through and desperate for gas; stop in, fill up, load up on snacks, and get your ass back on the road. Or, if you're just feeling lonely, stop in to pet one of the several dogs that are always hanging around or go inside for a lite conversation sprinkled with some "sweeties" and "babies" from one of the southern gals behind the counter. If you've got enough in the tank to make it another five miles to Paris then keep on keeping on. If you're local and don't want to deal with the "crowds in town" then you already know what's up.

I was stoked this past month when I was able to be in town during their business hours. I drove out of my way over to their store only to find it closed. Not a sign saying sorry for the inconvenience, not a sign reflecting different hours than what they're official Facebook "webpage" reflected. I even messaged them, they've read the message but not even a response. I would've given them one star, but their donuts are too damn good.

The fruits and vegetables are, in my opinion, substandard ie over-ripe, extremely large pieces (Russett potatoes the size of a small football). The meat department has good quality cuts, but again, add 10% and it is not a bargain. One may think that 10% is not much, but it sure is. How would you like to earn 10% on your bank savings account? Now the reality starts to set in, huh? I find that it's store brand Best Choice is typically very good compared to name brand products. The location of the store (Fort Smith) is more of a convenience than anything else.

They were bland, loads of corn meal on the bottom, and tasted and had the texture of cardboard, and the total amount was $50+. When I called to make a complaint, the management immediately blamed Doordash, though the dasher was right on time for everything, but the poor guy had to wait at the store for 30minutes....? Now I am positive of the drivers time and location, which is less than 10 minutes away, but he was blamed for the missing toppings, flavor crust and extra cheese.

We had traveled all the way down to Parkland & Pompano Beach and this was BY FAR the nicest & cleanest truck stop we saw in the whole trip, and we stopped at more than 3 or 4. The food, snack & drink selection were good and the Arby's was very nice, unlike the ones we had previously stopped at which were really grungy or didn't have any restaurant at all (One of them even had a Subway that was closed in the middle of the day). We are familiar with both Flying J & Pilot from our days growing up and RVing in California where truckstops actually have sit-down restaurants with actual waitresses and stores that sell all kinds of stuff where you can spend WAY too much time just looking at things. It seems that those types of truckstops aren't in Florida yet, or we just had bad luck when searching. In conclusion, you are lucky to have people like them as your crew in Bartow as they make all the difference in the world for customer satisfaction.

I thought perhaps she didn't hear me so I made a joke because she was wearing a mask and said do you work for ice with a chuckle, no response. Realizing there was no conversation to be had there, I walked back to see how much the washers and dryers were. The fella working in the back shower area was doing the cleaning, he looked at me and said no wandering in the hallway, well you can't get to the washers and dryers without walking through the hallway. Needless to say, I won't be doing laundry! Not sure if your sales are down, but if they are, I'd probably start with getting rid of the imbeciles that work there. I'd give negative stars but that's not possible. I can't believe this is a primarily Berkshire Hathaway owned property.!
