I had plans to stay at a B&B in Union Hall for one night, & while doing internet searches I couldn't find a place for dinner that would be open on the weekday we arrived or even at the time of day we were to arrive. During my seach Casey's never popped up. But fear not as it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
Upon our arrival at the B&B (much later than anticipated) our hostess asked what our plans were while showing us to our room. I mentioned we were taking a moonlight kayaking trip as part of a group. She then asked if we had eaten, my reply was no (spent too much time at the Blarney Castle) then off she went. She ended up calling Casey's asking if we could come there & eat even though they were closing the kitchen in 5 minutes (bar was still open). So down to Casey's we went!
We walked in & were told the kitchen was closed for the night but the bar was still open for drinks. To which I responded that Julie from Seascape had sent us over. At that point we were told no problem & handed menus as well as told what was still available. For instance the Guinness Beef Stew that we were both drooling over, well there was only 1 serving left. My daughter ordered the stew, nothing was under or overcooked, everything was cooked to perfection. I got an order of pasta with a marinara sauce and garlic toast and the flavor was on point as well as the pasta being cooked al dente. Both where excellent and flavorful. The food here is excellent and the employees pleasant and attentive.
I definitely recommend stopping by Casey's whether it be for a meal or a drink as you won't be disappointed. read more
