This restaurant owned & run by James & Robert is a gem of a place to eat in - we went as a group of 12 friends and we were sat in the conservatory at a beautifully long table. There are a number of other tables in the main dining area but this is a small niche restaurant.
The menu had a lot of thought put into it as well as an option to go with wine pairings. There are references to local producers of the ingredients and to a person we all absolutely loved the dining experience.
This is close on a five star dining experience and the flavours of the individual ingredients come though beautifully. Absolutely recommend everyone who likes good food, lovingly prepared to try it. read more
I had read about this restaurant in the Irish Times and had high expectations but I was not disappointed. It was simply the best meal I've ever had.
I was visiting Baltimore for the Bank Holiday and had put my name down on the waiting list and managed to get a table last minute. I wasn't even hungry as I had finished eating 2 hours ago but when the food started arriving I knew I was in for a treat.
The menu changes every day and is set but they ask you before if you have any particular requirements or food you don't eat but we just went with what they offered and wow, every single item was outstanding.
Starters included raw langoustines, turbot with samphire and ham with peas. The main was chicken which I thought it could be boring but was delicious. There 2 or 3 desserts all amazing.
The place is also very nice and the service great.
Go there as soon as you can! read more
