Awesome, random, artsy spot to get whatever rubber stamp you might need! If you're just stopping in, there's a big binder of designs that can be made on the spot in just about 10 minutes! Nearly any icon you could imagine! They also do custom orders if you have something specific. I would recommend buying your ink pads elsewhere as there isn't a huge selection.

I saw this shop on tiktok and it was a must visit while I was visiting the city! Super cool and unique place. Large amount of options for stamps and they can make it there on the spot if you'd like. Recommend stopping by to get a novelty gift for yourself or someone else!

Even if you don't want to order old school stamps, stop by this East Village icon! Small, sometimes crowded, full of character. What might be called a "dying breed," Irishman John Casey makes stamps on site and also takes personalized orders. Stamps range from the regular "thank you" type to animals, anatomy, and racy sexual stamps. Prices reasonable. Fun experience and shop cat Ratty on site to supervise.

One of those unique and old school NYC shops that put a smile on your face just walking in the front door. This place has been around for years, and I got my father some specially made rubber stamps and inkpads when he was a notary public in the city. I also got myself some for personal use because they are fun. Its a small crammed in place with literally 1000's of vintage designed rubber stamps of all kinds, and they make custom stamps based on need, design, and sense of humor. This place will make you chuckle when checking out some of the inventory. Great staff and the turnaround is not too bad. It's one of those eccentric types of businesses that should never leave us.

Great selection, nice owners. They can even customize stamps. Be prepared tho, the shop is a little small and it can take some time for them to make your stamps on site. If they don't have the design in stock, they'll also just make another one for you from the catalog. Prices are ~$10 and they have ink pads in several colors. I will go again!! I even got a stamp to personalize my home library.

Something about this store gravitated me to go in. I am not sure whether it was the hundreds of rubber stamps showcased around the store or the awesome storeowner that patiently accommodated my request for a Pug stamp. I was initially disappointed that there weren't any premade Pug stamps available but he quickly found a model and made one on the spot! There are probably thousands of different styles you can select, and if you can't find something, in particular, he will try to find it. The stamp was about $8.00 and the ink pad is sold separately. It is refreshing to see a shop like this in the East Village. Definitely check it out if you are passing through!

We're all so addicted to our smartphones, laptops, and tablets that paper stationery has changed from a necessity to a novelty to now almost an obscurity in quick succession. That's why highly specialized small businesses like CW Pencil Enterprise (review: http://bit.ly/31jLeIE) and this East Village shop have become comforting beacons of the past, especially this crowded little closet run by an Irishman named John Casey who started his business in 1974. He has an irreverent sense of humor and shelves and shelves of handmade rubber stamps each costing $6.50. He makes them the old-fashioned way with a negative, a plate, and a mold, and consequently can do custom orders upon request. He also sells stamp pads in all sorts of colors. You have to come in here and take a look. RELATED - Planning a trip to NYC? Here's a collection of places I've visited and reviewed: http://bit.ly/2ZvQA2F

This is a wonderful gem of a store! Great for any creatives who are interested print and more hands-on mediums. There was a wide range of pre-made stamps to choose from. You can also call ahead to make sure the shop has specific stamps in store. Casey was super helpful and such a character!

These stamps are premium quality. I loved that the young woman offered me help and guidance. The cat was so friendly. I wish I lived closer to this place!

Small & fun stamp shop in East Village that offers a range of designs and custom options. My favorite ones are the NYC buildings. Say hi to the owner and pick some up for yourself or gift to friends & family. #supportlocal!

Service was awful, store was messy if anything. Girl who took my small order was rude and snappy.

The staff are extremely helpful/friendly and my custom stamp was ready the day after I sent them the PDF file.

Their…read morecoupons aren't as good nowadays as they used to be and I don't have as much time as I used to have either but I still love coming here and browsing. The store layout here is a big congested and feel the checkout area and online order area could be better designed. I placed an order online for store pickup and it was ready in less than 10 minutes after I placed the order, which was quite impressive (I couldn't go until a few days later). The pickup area is located to your left as soon as you get off the escalators. There really wasn't a shelf to get your items and your bags situated after you pick up your item and the waiting area was quite small. No one was there when I went to pick up but a line of about 5 people behind me formed as I got my item making it a bit tricky to navigate to leave the area while also trying to stuff my item into my bags. The general checkout area was quite tight as well. It's long and it's sometimes hard to see if a self checkout counter is open. Self checkout itself is pretty easy to use and I like how the machine is able to detect if the handheld scanner was properly placed back in its slot before it moves forward with checking you out. I was able to find my account easily and apply all my coupons during my transaction. The staff I asked about inventory were quite knowledgeable and were able to point me to the right aisle to get the things I needed. things were well stocked and neatly displayed as well.

I appreciate arts and crafts stores though mainly rating 3 stars because sadly this is the only…read moreMichael's store left in Manhattan, which unfortunately means certain areas of the store can get really picked over--especially seasonal items--right before peak holidays. To some degree I understand that many retailers are tighter on inventory to reduce how much needs to be sold at deeper discounts after certain holidays are over. However this also means certain things run out and there's no selection left which could also mean lost sales, which was the case when I came to look for a couple Christmas-related products a week before Christmas and much of that section looked decimated outside of wrapping paper, kitchen/dining supplies, some decorations and wearable accessories. They were already setting up for Valentine's Day. Walking around the store, I still appreciated that this location is still around, it's been a while since I've visited so I was glad to see still a strong selection of frames, scrapbooking supplies, paints, yarns and ribbons/trimmings. They also installed more self-service checkout machines. The shopping stop wasn't altogether unfruitful in that I picked up a pack of baked goods boxes (to place home-made cookies/pastries inside before gifting to others). I hope next time to find more of what I need!
