From the very beginning, we felt completely taken care of--and that feeling stayed with us the entire trip. What could have been stressful turned into something incredibly special. The experiences she planned were beyond anything we could have imagined. We spent our days laughing, bonding, and trying new things--ziplining through the jungle, ATVing through forests and shallow rivers, and even swimming half a mile through a breathtaking cenote. We saw dolphins and sea turtles, visited a beautiful Mayan village, and enjoyed some of the most authentic and delicious Mexican food we've ever had. There were also so many magical, unexpected moments--like spending time with monkeys and deer, and even spotting a massive wild stingray. Every day felt like something out of a dream. What meant the most to us, though, was how safe we felt the entire time. As someone who is usually a very nervous traveler, I can honestly say I felt completely at ease. Amy created an experience that was adventurous and exciting, yet always grounded in a deep sense of safety and trust. This truly was a trip of a lifetime, and we are so grateful to Amy for making it possible. When I do travel for myself, I go back and forth with booking it myself or with a travel agent. For years, I have had my personal arrangements done with an agency in SoCal. I live in the northern part but have been dissatisfied with the agency, that I have worked with for years - lately. Without getting into my hectic life, I decided that I had to "hopefully" find a travel agent, that would work with me, knowledgeable and that was local (the latter not so much). I stumbled across AST from Yelp and various other sources. I called at an off-time, not thinking much of it. Denise followed up the next day with a phone call and was very attentive. She was extremely knowledgeable, yet listened and knew what my needs were. I have to say, that the months prior to my trip to Hawaii, she kept me abreast and put my mind at ease. Never once did I ever felt unsure of her capabilities, as we both were out of town quite a bit. AST/Denise kept in touch with me (pretty much on a weekly basis), prior to my trip. *never had that before!* Because AST and Denise booked my entire trip, I never had to contact or change "anything". My get-away was PERFECT! Had it not been for AST and Denise, I don't know if I would've pursued with the vacay. Note: I go annually but am in the midst of personal stuff.
