Over the few months I saw him, Dr. Church could sometimes get it, but it would often not really "stick," so I'd be back in later the same day or the next. He was pretty friendly at first. But as it became clear his adjustments weren't helping me, he started subtly shaming me by talking about other "very big" people he'd worked on and how challenging it was. I might've started to just think being too overweight was making so a great chiropractor couldn't help me... except that my prior one helped me *every time* and she was a woman about 1/2 his size, so I know my size and potential issues around maneuvering a heavier body could NOT have been the problem. Aside from just wishing I hadn't moved and / or hadn't taken my prior chiro for granted because she made it seem so easy to help me, I just decided I didn't need to be made to feel bad about myself by this doctor who couldn't quite get the adjustment right, so I stopped going. So if you have regular 'non-tricky' back issues and are not very overweight, you'll probably do great here.

I went to Abundant Health seeking acupuncture for nausea due to being 8 weeks pregnant at the time…read more(and also experiencing hip and joint pain from running) My insurance company did not pay for it, but I had no problem whatsoever paying $120 for about 75 min of treatment. I had never done acupuncture before but was definitely open to the idea. I truly enjoyed the care I received at Abundant Health. My acupuncturist spent almost 45 minutes listening to my ailments and providing tips and recommendations for my hip and joint pain. Afterward our counseling session, I spent about 30 minutes laying on the table with a couple of needles in various parts of my body. They were thin, not very long, and all I felt was a type of warmness where the needles were inserted, with the one in my shin area being the most prominent. I am not exaggerating when I say that within 30 minutes (once I arrived home), I felt instantly better and was AMAZED at how good I felt, since I had not felt well at all in weeks (my nausea had been all day long). I immediately called Abundant Health to make another appointment for the next week, but the receptionist told me that they recommend not doing it for another two weeks, so I made another appointment for two weeks later. On top of that, on the morning of my next treatment, there had been a lot of snow in the area and THEY called ME to reschedule my appointment (I have not had good experiences with medical offices being pro-active and calling their patients/clients for any changes prior to the appointment!). Overall, I would go back to see them again in a heartbeat.
