Read the reviews after a flyer was left on my front door. Thought I give them a shot and called. I spoke with Humberto who requested I text him my address. After no response I called to follow up and eventually texted a day or two later with a day and time he would come by to look at my project. Humberto came by on a weekend which was perfect but in the middle of me asking questions he commented how he didn't have much time and had to go, like I was inconvenienced him, We agreed he call the following Monday or Tuesday with a quote. That call never came. I called and sent text messages and received no response. Unfortunate this took place as this reviews were good but he was less than satisfactory. Unfortunately this requires that I leave one star, otherwise he would get zero stars from me. read more

They just left our house after taking out a very very tall palm tree. They prep the area very well by putting up a board against the window that was nearby and protected the plants. They were 4 men, so the work went very quickly. They removed the stump as well. When they were done, they did an immaculate job of cleaning up The price we paid was actually lower than the original estimate and was lower than another company we had checked into. We also use them throughout the years to trim the palm tree, but it was just getting too tall and messy to deal with. I would recommend Umberto and his crew in a heartbeat. If I could give them more than five stars, I would read more

Like another poor reviewer, they left flyers in our neighborhood. I had them come out to give us a quote. Said he'd send, never did. I called to follow up and left a message. Nothing back. Don't waste your time. read more

I absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking to get their tree trimmed. With little notice I was able to book them. They were quick to respond, showed up on time, and did an awesome job! They were the best price in town for the same work everyone else was going to do. Thank you!! read more

We had several trees that were growing straight down the side of our neighbors & our house of which we're only separated by about 8 feet. All of which, were on our side of the line. (Yay us!) The trees were creating a heck of a mess on our rooftop, gutters, roots under the driveway causing cracks and not to mention, the non-stop paw-traffic of squirrels & raccoons up the trees & onto our roof. Talked it over w/ our neighbors & they were cool w/ us removing the trees. Called Humberto to come check it out and he popped by the same day. Looking at all of the work involved, he gave us a very fair price and we went ahead & booked a date. The morning Humberto & his crew came by, they were steadfast in their execution getting the trees down, grinding the stumps, cleaning-up after each tree was removed and answering any questions we had during the process. But mostly, we stayed out of their way, as it turned out to be a 3 or 4 guy operation. They were methodical in lowering larger limbs to the ground and not just letting them KA-LUNK down. There was no damage to either home and their excellent work speaks for itself. Highly recommended!!! read more

I made calls to several landscapers and gardeners and Humberto Jr. called me back right away and remained in contact with me throughout the job. I was extremely happy with the work this company did and with how polite and helpful the entire team was. Humberto Junior, Senior, and Ivan were all very pleasant. They cleaned up the front and back yard at my mom's house in Mission Hills, pulled out several overgrown, old scrubs, planted several new plants, and built three new gates to replace ones that were falling apart. They were prompt and reasonably priced. I plan to use them again and highly recommend them. read more

You know the cards and ads that are left at your door? Well I usually throw this stuff away after a quick glance but this time since I needed the work to be done, I researched them on several sites and read customer reviews then I decided to give them a call. The son came by Saturday morning we settled on a date to do the work. Shortly after Humberto left he called saying he could come and do the work now. Lucky me! Humberto (Father and Son) and their team did a beautiful job in trimming my tree and foliage then doing some clearing and debris removal on my property. Clean up was done to my satisfaction. I would recommend them and use their services again. read more

AMAZING SERVICE, please call these guys. I am in Santa Clarita and they came out to handle the nightmare backyard situation we wound up with after our pool was put in. Everything was dirt and now you can see what we have now that Cascade fixed things. Humberto is the consummate professional and kept us updated regularly with their progress given the rains caused some delays. I will be a customer for life!! read more

Humberto and his team are fantastic. They arrived on time. They finished on time. And they transformed my front yard from dry, dead grass to a beautiful drought-scape -- at a reasonable price! Next up... my back yard. Yes, I will hire Humberto again! read more

I three quotes for the job and Humberto was about the middle but he understood the other little actions that needed to happen to make it look right and included them in the quote. The job was paving stones and some artificial grass installed. The guys finished today and it looks amazing! Very happy! read more

They left flyers in our neighborhood and coincidentally did need an entire sprinkler rework and sod out front. Had a couple other people come out, but they were booked really far out and I wanted to get comparative quotes anyways. Heavy set fellow showed up, I told him what we wanted to do ..it was fairly simple.. I share a front yard with my neighbor and they currently have a bender board in, I wanted to add an additional bender board of my own, rework of sprinklers and sod, but he said he couldn't do it without causing damage to my nieghbors bender board. I showed him what I had going on, what we needed. He hardly said a word or showed interest. (Were talking somewhere in the 5 to 6k range in work). He said he'd text me a quote, but never said when, never contacted me again. Later that same day, I had Darios Landscaping come out. He was confident, knowledgeable and friendly.. the very next day, he and two other people had no problem starting the job. They added a beautiful bender board wrapping around my property nicely and without causing any damage to my neighbors yard! Today, I'm ready for sod. Skip Cascade, go with Darios! read more

Cascade Landscaping &Tree Service were a pleasure to work with. We had many tree's that had been needing attention. Humberto showed up on time to provide a quote. His price was reasonable compared to the other quotes I received. Furthermore, after a short discussion about service and cost, he was willing to work with me and dropped the price to make it a 'no brainer' in my opinion. As we were expecting guests at the house, he was able to accommodate me on a quicker schedule than quoted. His crew arrived on time and was thorough in their work. Before moving from each tree they always asked if the work was satisfactory. I appreciated their attention to customer service. I will be referring them to anyone who needs their services. Very nice to work with a kind and reasonable business such as theirs!!! KEEP IT UP! read more

The guy (Humberto) came to my home and gave me an estimate. His price was extremely high. Later I finished the job with $2,500 which several companies offered me almost the same. But this company price was between $8,000 to $10,000 !!! and he's kind of rude, I was in a middle of conversation with him and he turned his back to me and walked away. read more

Five guys came this morning to trim my pepper tree. They arrived on time, did a great job and tidied up very well. I wanted a lot (approx 1/2) of the tree taken down in order to avoid issues with the wind and they did that and left a balance shaped tree. I would highly recommend them. read more

My neighbors hired this tree trimming service to cut down their trees. The workers neglected to pick up half of the tree branches that fell into my back yard and side yard. I politely asked the workers to please help me with picking up the mess they made. The workers pretended to ignore me and said they spoke no English. I had to pick up all of the tree branches myself with no help. After the workers left I saw as my other 2 neighbors across the street had branches scattered amongst their yard as well. read more

I have never had a tree removed before so I figured I would call the standard 3 places to get quotes and make a decision from there. I set three appointments but Humberto was able to get to my house the same day and the other companies were the follow day. He came out, took a look at the tree and quoted me a price which I thought was very reasonable (even though I have zero experience in this arena, I expected it to be much more). Anyways I told him I would get back with him after the other appointments and sent him on his way. After thinking about it for a hour I called him back and hired him to do the job because he seemed professional, his price was below my expectations, and he was able to come out the following day and get the job done. He and his crew showed up on time, put up protective covering on the side of my house (including covering my split system hvac fan) and got to removing the tree. It took them just over 4 hours to get the tree down and the stump chipped out (at the stump was pretty large). I was very surprised at how quickly they were able to get the tree down and complete the job. They did an amazing job of making sure everything was cleaned up too. If ever I have another tree to bring down, they will be the folks that I will call. I like the fact they offer other services as well like landscaping, fencing, etc....... read more

We have used Humberto's services twice now. The first time was to clean up our front yard and have our lemon tree pruned. The second time, they installed a drought tolerant backyard for us. This guy or one of his people was walking around our neighborhood this morning and was distributing his business cards. Common practice to obtain business I get it. My issue is that he decides to just throw it on my porch carelessly, then walks away and proceeds to throw his trash in the street in front of my house. Great way to obtain business...NOT. Can't imagine how professional he would be if someone actually hired him. I never would at this point. Yelp doesn't let me attach videos or else I'd post the different angles. read more

I have worked with Humberto Salas and Cascade Landscaping for more than 10 years now. (They had a different name at first, but I've forgotten it). They have always done excellent work at a very reasonable price. They have cut down trees, pruned shrubs, 'laced' a tree (thinning its branches for beauty and air circulation). They clear weeds and dispose of them. They listen to and observe special instructions for particular plants. This is important to me because I mostly grow California natives and fruit trees. They will leave a mulch pile for you if you ask. Employees are good, cooperative people - easy to work with. I usually just pay what they ask, but when I'm arranging service for a friend or my church, I ask for a bid against other reputable services. Their bid is always the lowest and doesn't change when 'unexpected' actions are required. They also do irrigation systems and design, and I believe they have added an arborist to their staff, but I haven't asked for these services yet. yet. I don't plan to use and other service for the foreseeable future. read more

I called them for my front yard remodeling. Humberto and his father plus 4 guys worked hard for 5 days to complete the job as they have promised. Came on time, cleaned the area every day before leaving. Humberto had few options for us and we decided to use pavers and rocks. Now my front yard looks gorgeous. We love it. Great job and excellent customer service. Highly recommended. Thank you Humberto and Cascade team. read more

These guys just trimmed some monster trees on our property line and did a great job. Highly Recommend.

I hired Cascade Landscaping to remove two 40' pine trees and perform some other tree trimming in July in Santa Clarita. Humberto worked around my schedule to come out to the house to give me a quote. His rates are very reasonable compared to other tree companies in the area. His crew performed the work in one day, and did a great job cleaning up afterward. I used Humberto last year to landscape my front yard with drought tolerant landscaping, DG, and stones. The plants have filled in and the area still looks great one year later. I have some tree stumps to remove and want to plant bamboo in my back hill next year. I will definitely use his services again for these projects. read more

He is always on time, calls when he arrives and his crew is amazing!!!! We loved the work they did to remove our enormous tree in front of our house which took a couple of days. Their work was so clean, and I would recommend them to all my family, friends and neighbors. They have large trucks and machines to do any time of yard and landscaping work. They also did a lot of cement paving which came out PERFECTLY!!! You will not regret hiring them. The nicest people and I will be their customer too for life!!!! Humberto Salas, his dad and crew were wonderful to work with and quite reasonable. I needed two palm trees removed that were becoming a nuisance. We initially spoke by phone and later that day I received a call back from Humberto who was viewing the two 50' (guessing) trees from in front of my property. He quoted an excellent price and did the work the very next morning. Equipped with a truck and grinder for wood and foliage, Humberto's crew were friendly and professional. They had those trees down within two hours and cleaned up both my yard and my neighbors. I will definitely use them again and will check out their pruning services soon. read more

Humberto phoned me back right away and set up an appointment. He called when he was running late. When he did get to the house I showed him what I needed done and he understood perfectly. Humberto and his crew were AMAZING!!! For three years I dealt with rodents which tore my yard to pieces. As a result, the only thing that would grow was weeds, and they grew sparingly. On top of it all, during the rainy season, my dogs would trapeze in mud; so not only was my yard trashed, but so was my carpet. I was finally decided to get faux grass. Humberto gave me the best quote, with a high quality faux grass. He and his crew worked non-stop and finished my project a day and a half earlier than expected. When the job was completed, I took my dogs outside and I could get them to stop playing, rolling around and running all over the yard, something they hadn't wanted to do since before the rodents had trashed my yard and grass. Humberto and his crew cleaned up every day before leaving and never disappointed. Several of my neighbors came by everyday and gave high praises, one even hired them for their house. Humberto and his crew are top notch and I guarantee you won't find better! You'd be a fool not to call them. I can't thank Humberto and his crew enough for giving me my yard and serenity back! read more
