Every wall is a work of art.

I didn't know it would ever come to this, but - it was the Casbah who rocked me! From beginning to end, The Casbah was so much more than a meal, it was a full-on experience. This place is gorgeous. Covered wall to wall in authentic Moroccan decor, you could have a great night wandering around in awe without even purchasing a meal. But don't do that, you'd be missing out. The food is another wonderful experience all on its own. Go to spend some time here. Enjoy it. Relax. Each table and booth is unique, cozy, and intimate. Find a spot that calls out to you and set up camp for the evening and let them look. SPOILER ALERT - The meal started with a rose pedal hand wash. This combined with some delicious fragrant Moroccan Tea, I sunk into the soft, authentic furniture, and I never wanted to leave. I asked one of the owners if they allowed slumber parties, and she laughed. *Sigh* I guess she thought I was joking, and I guess I'll take that as a 'no'. The food was fantastic. I had the Chermoula Tajine (Stew) with the Kefta (Moroccan Meatballs) as recommended by one of the owners, and I loved it. The meatballs were so tender and broke apart with a soft touch. They were filled with seasoning that while strong, complimented the beef without overpowering it. I'm going to end this description for fear of drooling on my keyboard. Conclusion - Go to Casbah for an intimate experiential meal, and take your time with it.

Mint tea service

Authentic Morrocan flavors, and charming intimate setting. It is on the pricey side, like most North African restaurants I've been to, but it's a great experience to share with a group of people. This is not the kind of place you go for a quick bite, but rather you make an evening of it, with the rose water hand washing at the table, and the mint tea service to cap off the meal. Both the tagines and couscouses were well prepared, with the classic mix of sweet spices, and available with a variety of meats. This kind of restaurant is ideal for a group that includes both vegetarians and meat eaters. Tip: this restaurant has a 2-for-1 Entertainment Guide coupon.

The ambience is really nice, but service is awful, and food is mediocre. I don't recommend it.

I'm always scared it's going to be overcooked, because at many restaurants the fish usually is, but this was perfectly grilled and well seasoned. The bed of veggies underneath had a really nice, subtle flavor that complemented the fish without overpowering it. I also ordered their banana cocktail, which honestly surprised me. I didn't think I would ever like banana in a cocktail, but it was absolute heaven. Smooth, balanced, and not overly sweet. One of those drinks you think about ordering again halfway through. For food, I also had the braised short ribs, and they were excellent. Super tender, rich, and full of flavor. Definitely one of those comforting dishes that still feels elevated and well executed. The decor deserves its own mention. The space is warm, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, and there's an actual live tree inside the restaurant, which is such a cool touch. You can already tell this place must be incredible in the summer when everything is open and lively. Overall, Porch delivers on food, drinks, and atmosphere. Easily a spot I'd come back to, whether for dinner, drinks, or a special night out.

We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.

That works just fine for me, I'm not sure I could've had much more than a puff or two of it otherwise. It was my first sheesha experience. I was also the first one there. Cafe Med was busy and I was too afraid to go in by myself. Thank the good Yelp gods for Sarah Louise! She saved me from looking like a creep peeking in the windows for too long. The folks at Cafe Med are friendly people. Our server talked us into some Moroccan Madness (tea) while we waited for the rest of our peeps to arrive. We also snacked on some red pepper hummus and rolled up grape vine leaves (if you've never had them, they're comparable to cabbage rolls in concept... just a different flavour to them). You might also want to try the garlic pizza. As far as sheesha bars go, I have nothing else to compare this one to! So it's got three stars in my books. Mostly because the guy serving our table offered to fill our tea pots up with more hot water, took the pots away and didn't return with them until we inquired about them again. And also because, even though it's a spot to come smoke things, there were times the haze built up enough to burn my eyes for a moment or two. At any rate, the food was pretty cheap, the pipes were just over $10 each and they kept bringing new coals around. From what I gathered, not dropping ashes into the pipe is a bit of an art that Cafe Med has mastered. Overall, a positive experience!

The place is marvellous very nice and intimate we got seated right away and service was spectacular! Our waiter remembered all our orders.. We decided to get some nice champagne for the table and celebrate friendship! It was really fabulous! This place gave me a lot of Mediterranean/ middle eastern vibes with Moroccan decor Food: We were hangry so we ordered a bunch of appies / and 2 mains It came out cooked to perfection! My all time favourite was the grilled halloumi cheese it was absolutely divine! The fried zucchini latkes were a tad burned so hoping they can adjust it next time My grilled chicken tzatziki was extremely tender and the meat was absolutely cooked perfectly wow I was impressed! The lamb was amazing and arguably the best dish .. I mean we loved everything but this was amazing! I would definitely order the lamb over again next time I am back!! The prawns were delicious as well! The dough balls with honey were really yummy and crispy outside and extremely doughy on the inside Overall, This place was just amazing , quick and hit the spot!
