When we first reached the hotel, the Uber driver let us out at a location that wasn't exactly in front of the hotel. As we were walking, we got turned around and called the hotel to let them know that we couldn't figure it out and one of the front desk's associates actually came out to find us and walk us back to the hotel even helping us with our luggage on the walk back to the hotel. The rooms also left a lot to be desired, but we did have a semi decent view of the city. The bathroom was also very small and the shower was a bit complicated. We weren't in the room for long as we quickly changed, headed out to dinner, and by the time we came back, it was time to go to sleep for our flight the next morning. Our reservation was at 9pm for 5 people on our last night in Lisboa. Our flight from Tenerife South was delayed so we had to push our reservation back. I emailed them and they swiftly responded letting me know that as long as we were there before 9:30pm, we were all set to go. We arrived at 9pm and were greeted by the lovely hostess at the door. She was also my point of contact regarding the cake they were making for my friends. Unfortunately, it was raining so we could not sit outside, but the inside of the restaurant was just as cozy and quaint. Our waitress came over with a complimentary glass of champagne for the table and took our drink orders. I opted for a mocktail and my friends got the mojito and sangria (I think). Now, it was time for food and here's what we got: - spicy chicken wings (7/10) -pica-cau (7/10) -portobello mushroom burger (10/10) -roasted octopus (9/10) -oxtail croquette (7.5/10) -spicy garlic king prawn (9/10) -crispy swordfish bao (10/10-- the kitchen closed and we begged the chef to make us another one. The property used to be a convent and has been converted into a modern hotel in the heart of the Alfama neighborhood in Lisbon. I arrived early from my cruise around 7am, and even though my room wasn't ready yet, the front desk happily stored my luggage so I could go out and explore. When the room was ready, I received a text and was pleasantly surprised to find that my bag had already been placed inside--amazing service. The room itself was small but very modern, and honestly one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Every corner was spotless--impeccable attention to detail. Breakfast was included and everything was fresh, including their freshly squeezed orange juice which was a great touch. The only small downside is that the hotel sits on a short hill, and Ubers can't access that road directly, so just be aware you'll need to walk a bit. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. If I'm ever back in Lisbon, I would definitely stay here again! Great hotel and service!
