At the time, I was away at college--four hours from home--so it didn't make sense to schedule appointments I couldn't attend. When I finally called to return as a patient, the receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive, saying they couldn't take me back because of my insurance. This was confusing because my mom and sister, who are both on the exact same insurance plan, were (and still are) seen here with no issue. However, the real reason I'm writing this review is because of what happened to my younger sister. She has been on medication for anxiety for about three years, prescribed by Dr. Evans, who was also my doctor and my mom's doctor. Recently, she decided she wanted to stop taking it, and Dr. Evans told her she could taper off completely in just two weeks. For a medication she'd been taking daily for three years. My sister followed the instructions, and this past weekend--after finishing the taper--she experienced severe withdrawal symptoms, including tachycardia (rapid heart rate) and intense stomach pain. It was frightening and completely avoidable. It's deeply concerning that a licensed physician would recommend such a short taper for a long-term medication. Dr. Evans has always come across as detached and lacking empathy, but this situation goes beyond poor bedside manner--it's unsafe and irresponsible. Between the unprofessional staff, inconsistent policies, and lack of genuine care, I cannot in good conscience recommend this office to anyone, especially those dealing with mental health medications.

I wanted to like him because someone recommended him but he was condescending. I saw him twice, I thought maybe we just got off on the wrong foot but no... he just as disdainful and superior the second time, so I took the hint and found an amazing PCP through Northwest Allied Physicians.

It was as if he was just waiting for me to stop talking so he could hear himself talk. The man literally rolled his eyes at me. He is very out of touch when it comes to real life struggles; as he rocks his 5 Cartier brackets. I reached out via the patient portal saying I was struggling and he had me take one of those anxiety/depression test and NEVER got back to me. The final straw for me was when he requested I do a yearly physical in the mist of all my mental health issues. After doing labs, I realized his office repeated labs I had done for my endocrinologist. Surprise Dr. Pounds never put in the orders for the lab. As a patient I have a choice, and I chose not to see him any longer. Don't settle for less people!!! Being a doctor is a business and his business sucks!
