We've used Casal's services for years now for our property management company. He's always prompt, does good work and is decently priced.

I hired this company to do repair and minor updates to my house. I can't complain about the…read morequality of the work but I never knew when workers would be at my house. A job that should have taken a 6 to 8 weeks took over seven months. And the price, by the time I realized what the charges were it was much to late to find someone else.

This is a 2.5 to 3 star review. We used this company 5 years ago when some work was done on our…read morehome at the time we bought it. I would rate that as a 4 star experience. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. This most recent experience was about 2 stars. We experienced a pipe break in November and was told the somewhat substantial repair job would be completed by March. It was not completely done until sometime in May. I had to babysit the project myself due to the lack of communication. There were quality issues with the texturing on the drywall -- the subs came back and reshot the areas (with result being "close enough" but not completely right ... I didn't want to hold up the project any longer to have them redo it again). There was no transition in one doorway where a new wood floor meets (or doesn't meet) the existing tile -- I talked to the onsite project supervisor about it and the only solution short of tearing out the entire floor was to put some type of a slanted piece of wood over the 1/4 inch gap -- which would look even worse. So, we have a 1/4 inch gap. Then, the electrical sub they hired installed wall sconces above (!) the covered junction boxes with a visible wire going from the junction box to the fixture (I actually have pictures of this) ... I can't believe any electrician would think that's okay. And, I shouldn't have had to point this out to Reijnen Company. There were numerous instances of lack of communication -- it turns out our offsite project manager was experiencing family issues-- which I am sympathetic of -- I just wished that the person supervising her (the owner) would have made arrangements to cover her workload because, as to our project, it was not getting done in a timely manner. We also experienced billing invoice and billing office communication issues (my insurance company adjustor also experienced similar issues in trying to determine what work was done and not done at the end). As a result, we did not get our final insurance check (or make final payment) until quite awhile after the work had been done (something that understandably upset the company owner ... to which I have said I'm sorry but it's unfortunate that the billing issues weren't resolved earlier (I had made inquiry about the billing at least a month before all of the work was done)). The owner is a very nice man and he told me that the company has undergone a complete change since we first worked for them and they have fewer people due to the change in economy. We were just very frustrated because we cc'd him on many of complaint emails and it wasn't until the very end he became involved. I can understand the need to change your work model, but the drastic change in customer service and the diminished quality of some of the subcontractors they put on my job leads me to not to want to work with them in the future.

His team does a fair amount of incidental damage too. Damaged finish on floors. Left us to re-install electrical fixtures and other things removed from walls. Leaves clean up from every step to the home owner, lots of blue tape and cardboard to remove. Also locked me out of my house. Super expensive. But I guess it kinda looks ok when he's done. UPDATE: he designed and installed this shower door with a light switch half inside/half outside of the shower. Clearly against code, dangerous, and looks idiotic. Only solution is to put the switch in the other room (awkward) or have to hard-wire it always on and use a smart-bulb to control the shower light (very awkward.) He also didn't seal the new blank cover, leaving it still open to water hitting the live wires (dangerous.) Looks like I will have to finish this part of the job myself. Hoping he comes back to re-do the tile, but at this point not trusting him to get anything done right.

Iraj is a clear communicator and committed to getting the job done as promised - and often exceeding expectations. Stays on budget, always easy to reach, works with you on scheduling/timing. Can't say a enough.
