Their version of eggs Benedict. I loved the presentation including the edible flowers. The sauce was a bit more cheesy than Hollandaise.

This is such a lovely restaurant with a very elegant dining room, and wonderfully attentive staff. It's situated on the leafy Jardin de la Union plaza across from the Teatro Juarez. I had breakfast there and was impressed by the service (the waiter even placed a cloth napkin in my lap!) and the coffee and juice. I had their version of Eggs Benedict which were a little different. Instead of English muffins, they were served on brioche buns and covered with a cheese sauce instead of Hollandaise. The eggs were perfect although I didn't care for the sauce too much. I liked the restaurant so much that my partner and I went back for dinner. He had a simple parmesan pasta and I started with a Greek salad (huge - split one!) followed by the arrachera tacos which were delicious. And I suggest you visit the bathroom whether you need to or not. It's one of the nicest I saw in Guanajuato.

Casa Valadez is an elegant dining option in Guanajuato adjacent to the plaza. While in town for a business trip, I had the pleasure of being able to dine in and enjoy breakfast while exploring. I ordered an omelette and French toast. The omelette, I added a Parmesan cream based sauce which was phenomenal in taste. However, I asked for no onions although it was still cooked with. Even after asking for it to be remade with no onions, it came back out with onions again. The French toast was unique as if it was made with what seemed to be a sponge style bread loaf coated in cinnamon. Again, phenomenal in taste when paired with the berries! Overall, the ambiance of Casa Valadez was very relaxed. Service gave off a fine dining experience. Outside of the mishap with onions, I'd definitely recommend if in the area.

Stopped by Casa Valadez with a big group around 1pm, and we were seated within 5 minutes--which was impressive, especially for such a central spot right by the Jardín. The interior is lovely, clean, and feels a bit upscale without being stuffy. Also shoutout to the bathrooms--super clean and well kept. Service was friendly and efficient. We had a few different servers check on our table, and everyone was helpful and kind throughout. To start, they brought out a variety of breads, and the cornbread was definitely the standout--moist with a nice texture. We also shared some queso (good flavor, with a solid kick) and guacamole, which was a clear favorite. The guac tasted super fresh, was well-seasoned, and had just the right balance of lime and salt. It came with crispy chips and had a cute presentation that made it feel more elevated than your standard side. Easy 5/5. I ordered the Enchiladas de Chamorro, which sounded promising but was kind of a letdown. It came out lukewarm (didn't seem fresh) and the meat tasted a bit dry. The sauce had a smoky-sweet flavor that was interesting but didn't totally work for me. On the drink side, the passion fruit and mezcal cocktail was a win--refreshing and not overly sweet. Bonus points for using real passion fruit. The café latte, though, was a pass--pretty much felt like I was drinking milk with a hint of coffee flavor. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with a great location and strong starters (especially that guac), but the main dish and coffee didn't quite live up to the rest of the experience. Still worth a visit if you're nearby and want a nice place to sit down and relax.

Excellent food. We were craving for some appetizers and we had the chicharrón, carpacccio and huaraches criollos. All of them were delicious. Well presented but tasty. The service is awesome, the captain Juan Antonio and Sergio waited our table and were on top of everything. The environment of this place is incredible as you are in the middle of the mariachis, estudiantinas which enlighten the place with rhythms of Mexico!!!

The location of this restaurant is excellent. It is right in front of El Teatro Juárez. My group made reservations, so when we arrived we were immediately seated. The service here is amazing. Our server was Mr. Escobar who was very professional and attentive. Our table was located at the window facing the theater. So we had dinner with an amazing view. I ordered the shrimp pasta. It was well seasoned and tasty. My BF ordered the Ribeye Extranjero. The ribeye was served in a hot skillet and came out sizzling. The cheesecake was delicious.

Consuming breakfast at Casa Valadez 3 times over the course of 3 days (because it was included in my hotel rate) I feel confident in my assessment of the place and it goes something like this: The centrally located restaurant (right on Jardin de la Union) is lovely, with an abundance of nicely attired servers, but why is nobody doing anything about the high-pitched beep that occurs every couple of minutes throughout every meal you consume here? I think it was a smoke alarm announcing its low battery life but 3 days worth of such nonsense had me believing this might've been going on for years. The menu is accessed via QR code and there's a separate section for those who come here on a chit from their hotel. Supposedly in English, the menu made little sense to me, a speaker of English. By day 3 I wanted no more of the lukewarm chilaquiles or the mole-drenched eggs. Nor did I again want their Chocolate Chip Pancakes that contained not a single chocolate chip. I just wanted eggs and bacon and I got it, paying only a small price differential. The bacon was horrible but perhaps it is what passed for bacon in Mexico. In fairness, I appreciated that they constantly refilled my coffee cup and that the fresh fruit platter (an accompaniment to many breakfast offerings) is, if not abundant, presented beautifully. Casa Valadez looked and felt like a restaurant that should be so much better than it actually was.

Is a tourist destination? Yes. But the ambiance, views and service were all great. We asked for reccomendations based on what we were craving and the food was great. Pricey yes, but it was worth it.

    Gorgeous dining room. We like.

Ambience. A Service. A Food/drinks. A Price. A Found in middle of town near parks and churches. Very local touristy and very high end atmosphere. Was able to grab a table for 4 easily on New Year's Day. They have English menu paper and online. With pictures for most items. Server brought platter of various breads. With a very spicy dressing and salsa. Nice. Friends had chicken salad...very tender and dressing on sweet side. Lots of berries with mixed greens. Also had fresh made guacamole with various chips and chicharrones and beef jerky. Delish Ordered enchiladas with tomatillos salsa and mole. Delish. Ordered beef carpaccio loaded with olives Parmesan tomatoes pesto balsamic. Delish I would want to eat here again! I'm a fan PS. And very clean and maintained baños!!!

Lovely spot in Guanajuato. Came here with family after a day of exploring and walking around and it was just what I needed. They had a good selection of food and brought out bread to start. The alcohol selection was great and they had my favorite tequila! My steak was a bit over cooked but nothing too serious. I tried my first carajillo here and man oh man it was good. I'm gunna have to bring that one back to the states

While there is definitely several places to eat in Guanajuato, I wanted to treat my fiancé to somewhere a little fancier. I located this restaurant on Yelp and we happened to walk by it earlier in the day sight seeing. I noticed there were several people eating there and how some tables had a view to the Theater located across the street. I reviewed their menu and decided to have a 12 oz ribeye. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and I paired it with fries and some rice. I also enjoyed the fresh squeezed limonada so much I ordered a pitcher of it. My fiancé order chicken Alfredo and she thought it was delicious. After our meal, we ordered some dessert which was an apple strudel and cinnamon sugar bites with homemade vanilla ice cream. One of the fancier restaurants in the entertainment district and staff was very attentive.

La carne de la hamburguesa estaba seca y demasiada lechuga.

Pedimos sushi, hamburguesa y Yakimeshi. No los recomiendo, no tienen buena sazón. Precio alto para lo que es.

Nice atmosphere, wait staff very attentive. We only ordered drinks and appetizers and they were delicious.

We had an excellent dinner here. Seemed very popular with the locals. While we dined, there was a very cool musical jazz group and vocalist.

You get an option of 2 main dishes to choose from and typically most people go for the Enchiladas Mineras. You can get the Enchiladas with or without chicken. Unless you are a vegetarian, go for the chicken. The chicken is so soft and flavorful and the enchiladas have the perfect seasoning. The cheese, carrots, potatoes all are such simple but powerful additions to the dish that you cannot help but almost lick your empty plate within minutes. The pickled jalapeños and carrots that are served on each table are so delicious and the jalapeños have such a nice kick to complement this dish. I also ordered the hibiscus juice, which honestly has such a large serving and is a must here! The place does get crowded at around 7pm with a line, especially since there are not that many seats. After almost an hour wait (trust me it is worth it), I was seated. If you come alone or with just one person, chances are, you will be sitting with strangers and making friends as you eat.

I had such high hopes for this place. I'd read many good reviews about the food and atmosphere, and…read morethe photos of their specialties were mouth-watering. Unfortunately, for us anyway, they didn't live up to their promise. It's a fairly long taxi ride to get to. People talk about the "amazing views," but only a couple of tables can see them, and they are not at all amazing. Just a jumble of houses and utility wires with some hills in the background. The restaurant itself is very charming and warm, and the staff is polished and welcoming. Things started off well with the nopale appetizer, a very delicate but umami-infused dish. But then the main courses were very disappointing. I had the sous vide beef short ribs with a tlilchili sauce on a bed of a few black beans and red onions. Sounds great, doesn't it? I was expecting "fall-off-the-bone" short ribs. Instead I got a dried-out chunk of meat that I could barely cut with a knife. Terrible. I could only eat part of it. My partner ordered a chicken dish that was bland and also a bit dry. We both ended up leaving half of our entrees - which we never do. We were still so hungry, we had to get tacos from a stand by our hotel afterwards. Not worth the effort or the price in my opinion - such a let down.
