This place reminds me of a lunchroom cafeteria. The waiters are extraordinarily friendly and accommodating but the food is just okay. They have a bar but don't serve liquor? They only serve water as sparkling water in a glass bottle or bottled soda located in a cooler next to the entrance, we received our food but had to request silverware and napkins.... It just seems that this place is in a lean transition. The food lacks in flavor and gives the essence that it has been re-heated before being served. There are no prominent flavors in any of the dishes, not even the salsa.... Its a great location... but missing several marks in cuisine and amenities.

I looooved this little locally owned, authentic Mexican restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious and leaves bursts of flavor in your mouth with every bite. I would highly recommend this place to family and friends. The server was attentive and super sweet. I definitely will be going back here! They're tacos are so delicious, and their sopes will leave you craving more!

Casa Mexicana = Supertaco. Supertaco is actually part of the restaurant - Casa Mexicana. I was there at 6:00 pm and they get all the ingredients to their taco truck. I just don't understand why they park their truck outside of the restaurant and sale the same type of taco. In fact the restaurant taco is $1.75 and the truck is $2.50 per taco. Guess what, I choose over roof with air condition in the restaurant. It come with free chip before the food come. The taco is good. I like the carne Asada. The pastor has piece of grill pineapple on the top is the best taco. Overall they are good, I like they have the salsa on the all you can take corner to load your taco. The have music jewel box for the selected music. Seem like they may have the dance party if they clear the table in the middle.

We were craving authentic tacos and we found this place not too far from our house so we decided to give it a try. We went during a week night and it wasn't busy that busy. We don't speak Spanish and our server didn't speak that much English but she was very friendly and we still managed to get our orders just right. I did wish she was more attentive though because we were one of the very few tables that were there that night but still did a bit of waiting when we needed something. Food was great and satisfied our Mexican food cravings.

I ordered from Casa Mexicana on UberEats because I was craving steak and shrimp fajitas. My order came at the time the app estimated. I ordered steak and shrimp fajitas that came with retried beans, rice, lettuce with tomato and avocado, and chips and guacamole. Everything came in it's own separate package which was fine. The rice was dry. Received beans were more soupy than solid, and the lettuce came with a quarter size slice of tomato and the thinnest slice of avocado. Luckily I got the chips and guacamole as a side order so it was a decent portion to put on my fajitas. The steak in the fajitas as chewy and cooked well done which contributed to it being tough. What sucked the most was the shrimp still had tails on it so you had to take them off yourself. Overall the meal tasted average but the shrimp would definitely hesitate me in the future.

Fantastic Polle (chicken) mole, very nice large size chicken pieces, with a very good slightly sweet sauce. Also very good tacos, the favorite was the beef tongue which was lean, tender, and tasty.

If you don't like this place then you didn't know what you were coming here for. It is Authentic with a capital A. If you like true Mexican food this is it. If you want taco bell.....then go to taco bell. I ate in the restaurant about 2 on a Tuesday it was empty and peaceful. I loved this place and will be a new regular. I had 2 taco and a burrito.... tried the meats and all were good.

We ordered 7 different types of meat tacos. There was a condiment bar with cilantro, lime, tomato salsa, grill onion and pepper and two different kind of hot sauce. I picked up the topping I liked and added them on my taco. The amount of meat on each Taco was generous. The pork, chicken, tongue and steak got good favorites. The ambient was OK. The service was okay. Check with the wait staff if you have any coupon or deal from any website. Sometimes they don't honor it.

The truck outside was closed until 4pm so we decided to eat in. The restaurant was empty. The chips and the salsa were really bad. They should just skip that all together in this case. We ordered the bistec a la Mexicana and 2 tacos (1 chicken and 1 carnitas). The tacos were just okay. We ordered them plain and loaded them ourselves (they have a little condiments area) with cilantro, onions and the sauces. They were still just okay. The bistec plate was no good. The tortillas that came with it were soggy, the meat was CHEWY, the salad wasn't fresh, the rice and the beans were blah. The meat was so chewy that the person I was sharing the dish with had to get up to go to the bathroom to spit out the meat. That's pretty bad. I'm also not a fan of restaurants that have yelp offers they know nothing about. When I showed the waitress the 2 free taco offer (for checking in to Yelp) she was like, huh? Basically I didn't get my free tacos. The tamarindo juice was watered down. I wouldn't recommend and I won't be back.

We started with nachos for the table with chipotle cheese sauce, pickled red onion, pickled chile, guacamole, queso fresco, and sour cream and they were the perfect way to kick everything off. For mains, we ordered the enchiladas poblanas (chicken, queso fresco, house-made mole, crema, onion, and sesame) and shared the steak Tampiqueña with grilled strip steak, refried beans, and rajas corn enchiladas. The steak was genuinely perfection so flavorful and cooked beautifully. I also treated myself to an espresso martini, which was divine...maybe just a little strong, but in the best way. We had a delicious lunch right before our concert, and the location made it super convenient since it was right where we were staying. Overall, such a great sisters' trip meal, amazing food, fun vibe, and a perfect pre-concert stop. Would 100% recommend!!!

The lobster quesadilla was hands down the best quesadilla I've ever had. I also ordered the crab and shrimp enchiladas and everything was seasoned to perfection. My friend had the enchiladas poblanas and loved hers just as much. The drinks were just as good. I had an espresso martini while my friend ordered a guava margarita. The vibe really made the night. It's the perfect spot for a girls' night really. Our waitress was so sweet and even helped bag our food at the end of the night, which I appreciated. There was an event going on nearby, so valet was super convenient and even discounted since we were dining at the restaurant. Overall, I really loved everything about this place. We're already planning to come back for happy hour.

What I appreciated most is the build your own taco option, because it allows you to order exactly what you want without paying for a bunch of filler ingredients you were going to push to the side anyway. When you strip it down to the proteins and toppings you actually like, the cost savings are real. In a place like Ybor, where prices can creep up quickly, that matters. Now, the à la carte menu can feel a little confusing at first glance. It is not the most straightforward ordering system if you are just breezing through. But once someone walks you through it and you understand how to piece your order together, it becomes completely worth it. You end up with exactly what you want, and you are not overpaying for things you did not ask for. The vibe was great. The service was friendly and patient, which helps when you are trying to decode the menu. And the location is ideal. There is an outdoor patio with umbrellas on the sunny side of the street, which gives you options. You can sit in the sun if you want that warm Florida glow, or you can stay shaded if you are protecting your skin but still want to be outside watching the action unfold on the strip. And let's be honest, half the entertainment in Ybor is people watching. Add in the random roosters casually strolling around like they own the neighborhood, and you have a full show with your meal. I loved everything about this place and highly recommend it if you want to save a few bucks on food while still soaking up everything Ybor City has to offer. Good tacos, good vibes, good people watching. Hard to beat that combination.

Not much changed from it being the previous locations of other restaurants, but it definitely needs more natural light. It's like eating in a dungeon. The tacos there was a lot going on on the menu and I'm sure this is a niche, but it is not a niche. I am on board with any taco that had ground beef was kind of disgusting the other tacos. You could've made them at home and probably made them better if you're looking for authenticity this is not the place. Service the service was not much to write home about nothing was stellar, but nothing was bad. With all things being equal, this is not a place that I would naturally recommend somebody likes it but it's probably the same people that eat Tijuana flat.
