Love the experience here. The vibe is fun and the arepas are huge! We ordered the plantains with cheese and chicharrón as an appetizer. Then I ordered an arepa with chicken, avocado, mushroom, and mixed vegetables. It also comes with a ton of cheese and your choice of salsa. I went with a spicy one. Overall, the experience was unique and the food was very flavorful. The service was great too read more

Casa Juana was a mid experience for us. The beef-and-chicken arepa had a generous amount of filling, and the crazy fries were fun to share. The colorful atmosphere also gives the restaurant plenty of personality. However, the arepa was a little dry. read more

¡Volveremos pronto! Wow, man! Those authentic flavors really hit the spot! I saw a reel on Instagram that convinced me to try this place, and I don't regret it at all! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the Latin vibe and flavor with our music playing on the speakers. It's not like any other place. It's like being back home, enjoying delicious food. The staff is so friendly, they greet you warmly, ask if it's your first time, and explain everything and give their recommendations. Phenomenal service! We were so full we had to go for a walk for a while. Full belly, happy heart! Thank you so much for bringing a little piece of Colombia to the Bay Area! We were really missing that taste of South America. We'll be back soon! read more

It was the worst food I have ever had in my life! I got the Carne-Pollo. The beef was super dry, bacon was super fatty, the chicken was salty. There was so much cheese that it was just so overpowering. Overall I took a few bites and threw it away. I will never be coming back. Absolutely disgusting. On the +, the service was good. read more

Their arepas are hearty and fire. My toddler who is a picky eater even enjoyed this spot. Great quality ingredients. I got el nido and my wife for the pappi quiere piña. Ask for extra sweet pineapple relish. Def coming back read more

I went to this place and ordered an arepa with extra chicharrón, but the chicharrón never actually made it onto the arepa. I politely pointed out to the man that the chicharrón was missing; he claimed it was inside the meat, but even after checking, it turned out I had been charged for the add-on without ever actually receiving it. The customer service is terrible. It feels as if they were giving you the food for free and you had no right to ask about anything; they have a good product and a great location, but the customer service is very poor. read more

I go to the cigar lounge in the same center and whenever I walk by Casa Juana the place is hopping, so I've been wanting to try for awhile. The room is painted in bright colors and though a bit sparse actually felt cozy. This night was kinda quiet so the server was able to take time and help me. I'd not had arepas before so she took time explaining and made some suggestions. I had the combo beef & chicken which went together way better than I thought and some of the other add-on's were bacon (perfect chunks of bliss) avocado and there was a bit of pineapple in a sauce that she recommended which I thought I wouldn't like but was a perfect suggestion. I'd never even seen an arepa before so when she brought this beautiful monstrosity I was like "uh ok let's go" and it was so delicious! The cool extra part of this post is the "server" was actually Juana the owner and she is so cool and so passionate about the food and her story is awesome. You gotta meet her. And you must try this place - - you'll love it. read more

This spot is one of the first -if not the first-arepa places to open in SJ. I originally tried it out of curiosity, and since then it's low key become my go to whenever I'm in the mood for something different. Colombian street food is fire!! Portions are solid, the drinks are on point, and there's a wide variety to choose from. If it's your first time, I'd definitely suggest going with their recommendations, some menu items can be on the heavier side. Totally recommended for a chill night in with some good food and a movie! Arepas were dry and felt overcooked if that's even a thing. The beef was dry and the bacon was so fatty. The "salsas" were thick and did not pair well with the dry arepas. The only thing we enjoyed was the pork belly which also arrived with dry cut up arepas. The Columbian lager beer and lemon drink were delicious. The service was fast and the ambience was family friendly. WARNING: highly overpriced; $20 min on arepas read more

Juana's Arepas are amazingly tasty! I had a beef arepa with vegetables and melted cheese- and the savory, flavorful and a soft yet grilled/slightly crunchy corn arepa outside is beyond scrumptious. Honestly- it is like a party in your mouth. In comparison to the other local arepa restaurant in Willow Glen, these are far tastier. And they are huge! If you have the opportunity to chat with Juana- you will experience her friendly and kind nature. She is a tenacious business owner who had a dream of opening her own restaurant. Willow Glen is lucky to have her delicious Colombian cuisine available to us all. Go give Juana's Arepas a try- you will not regret it . read more

Stop what you re doing right now & GO To CASA JUANA for an AREPA (arepa El Nido my fav) but don't go alone seriously. you should try also the chicharrón carnudo that's so yummy. This spot has the best Colombian Arepas in SJ area and city's around. Those BEAST arepas are so tasty. The salsas they made are amazing ..love the pineapple BTW and of course the owner she's always there and can tell she's a hard working woman. So happy to find this place that take me to Colombian .. ohh and the music they have LOVE IT . read more

Very kind employees... Juana personally asked me if I was hungry and invited me to her restaurant... Well I'm homeless living in a RV and so out of the kindness of her Angelic heart said to go to her restaurant and I did and a little after I arrived another Angel, Luisa waited on me and brought an amazing sandwich I have never tried before and was bursting with flavors... Sweet and a little spicy but oh my goodness it was delicious!! I wish I could remember the name of that dish and a hot beverage that tasted like caramel and chocolate tea! What did I have? I wish I knew the name.... But I'll never forget Luisa and Juana! Thank you and God Bless You! read more

Their menu was only on Instagram stories, which seemed like a strange place to have your menu, since not everyone is on Instagram. They were out of several toppings I wanted (avocado, plantains). The food was okay but overpriced for a fast-casual establishment. I won't be back. read more

Service was bad came waited for 1:30 and didnt get anything besides drinks. Not to say they had a dog barking in the kitchen which is so unsanitary. Dogs shouldnt be allowed in the kitchen were food is being prepared/cooked we ended up walking away and just paying the drinks do not come here unless you are willing to wait atleast two hours for food and service. read more
