I go for coffee and one of their baked goods. My wife loves their scones, and this is one of the few places in the RGV that even knows what they are. Their coffee is better to me than Starbucks though usually still a medium to dark roast. Hot tea (made with tea bags rather than looseleaf) is limited to just a few options, mostly infusions. There are limited seating areas but nice. Parking can be tight, especially if you have a larger vehicle. The service has always been good.

The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors. What kept me coming back, though, is the staff. They are incredibly kind and always make me feel welcome. It's such a nice feeling to be greeted warmly and recognized as a returning guest. I've even celebrated my birthday here, which says a lot about how much I enjoy this place. Nothing special. They did cook my OE eggs and crisp bacon perfectly, so on balance it was good. As an added bonus, on Monday and Tuesday if your breakfast is $10 or more, the coffee is free. So I got free coffee. Coleen's pancakes were nothing special in fact, I took a bite and while the flavor was good, they were a little on the tough/chewy side.
