A second location of the famous casa Guedes literally just steps away from the original. There's more inside seating and also a roof top area. No one seems to sit at the bar which is how I got in immediately. I got the famous pernil sandwich with soft sheep cheese #8
The roasted pork was tender and juicy and the cheese is so soft it's probably spreadable and mild almost like a Brie maybe a little stronger tasting. The house made bread soaked up some of the pork jus that the pork was sitting in.
They must be doing well to open up a second location that was literally a stones throw away.
I'm told this is a must visit spot in Porto. It was my first stop so we'll see. The menu was in English and they spoke enough English to get by. The other famous pork sandwich is the Bifina, I can't tell what the difference is. read more
