The selection is incredible. They have everything- indoor plants, outdoor plants, trees, shrubs, succulents. Whether you're looking for something small for a windowsill or larger trees to transform your yard, they've got it. And the prices were honestly great, especially for the quality and variety. I loved it so much that I brought my husband back the very next day, and we stocked up on even more plants and trees for our yard. The staff were friendly and helpful- they carefully wrapped up our plants so they wouldn't make a mess in the car and even helped load everything into our vehicle. That extra level of care made the whole experience even better. Safe to say we'll definitely be back again. Highly recommend if you're in the Austin area and love plants!

They seem to specialize in Vietnamese pots in a wide variety of colors and shapes and sizes. The pots here go from little tiny ones from Mexico to giant ones that you could leap out of and surprise your friends. Bonus- nearly every pot in the store can be rigged up to become an awesome fountain! They even sell the reservoirs, and pumps, you just provide the water! The staff is friendly and answers any questions. They helped load the pot up into the back of the car for us which was nice, since those pots are big and heavy! They also have a bunch of artwork for your yard- sculptures of Easter Island statues, and cowboy ant sculptures. Stuff every yard needs. The whole store is outside, so it's easy to socially distance and it's always easy to put a few aisles of pots in between you and the next shopper around here, so it's an easy place to shop!

Frond Plant Shop is located on South Lamar, offering a wide array of plant offerings from houseplants ranging from classic favorites to more uncommon and eclectic varieties. The plants are sold with planters and plant themed accessories. The space feels calm, creative, and well-crafted. In addition, at the front of the store there is a small area with seating, where folks can seat to do computer work as a student, remote worker or someone who wants to escape the trappings of being at home or work. One of Frond's clear delineators was the health of their plants. Their plants looked healthy, vibrant and lush. In addition to plants, you can purchase candles, plant accessories, and plant food. I ended up purchasing a concentrated plant food. Susan, the store manager, was welcoming and helpful in offering recommendations. Pricing was a mixed bag - smaller accessories were affordable, whereas bigger plants tended to be on the pricier side. If I were contemplating buying a new plant, Frond would be at the top of my list.

My fiancée was excited to treat me to some replacement plants from the store that stated it all and got me a gift card. We drove up to Plant Party last weekend and were shocked to find out that the brick and mortar store that used to be there is completely empty. This was pretty confusing to us because the website said absolutely nothing about this status of the store changing. Neither do any of their social media platforms. We drove home disappointed and my fiancée reached out to the store owner to ask about how we could get our plants because my store gift card was for the in-person store. We were informed that we could either get a refund or use the credit on the gift card towards the online store. Unfortunately, the options on the site were pretty limited and the store online has a 75 dollars order limit, which was more than we were intending to spend (hence the 50 dollar gift card). As such, my partner decided to reach out again to try and get her refund. It has been several days and several attempts of contacts later and we have heard nothing. So my partner has filed a claim with her credit card company. To say we are extremely disappointed with the service is an understatement. We really had such fond memories of Plant Party prior to this, but this entire situation has definitely soured our opinion. Update: We have still not received our refund, and we were never communicated with that the refund would be going through until I posted this review. I feel like there is a general struggle with communication. I understand that business close and go, but based off of their social media and the website, one would not think that the store was closed and that led to multiple issues on our end. We drove all the way to Austin to try and support a business we both enjoyed just to find an empty store. Clarity would have been greatly appreciated.

Bloomers in Elgin delivered on both. The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and actually knowledgeable about their plants (which makes a huge difference when you're hunting for anything uncommon). There were so many unique plants to choose from, and even what they consider their "regular houseplant section" had plants you honestly won't find at most other shops in Central Texas. I found myself doing multiple laps because I kept spotting things I missed the first time. The greenhouse setup was beautiful and well organized, and you can tell they take pride in the health of their inventory. We paid $3 per jalapeño, basil, pepper, and tomato plant. Mulch was $5 and compost was $7. The staff was extremely friendly and they even load the mulch/compost in your car for you. We will be back next March for the annual sale again. Dog friendly! Lots of cute booths to stop by inside and kids can pick carrots in the carrot garden.
