The singers were amazing and the guitar work flawless. The only real drawback is the place is very warm inside, even though it was a chilly night, I had to remove my jacket and remain in a T-shirt. The performance was simple, yet the passion was felt. The musicians were incredibly talented, and the singer had a deep, soulful voice that captivated the room. My favorite part was hearing the stories they shared about the history of fado. The performance lasted about an hour, the perfect length, though we could have listened all night.

The instruments at Porto Guitarra are well made, well adjusted and reasonably priced. The staff here were so helpful. I purchased a cavaquinho and they showed me a variety of tunings to use and some videos of their favorite cavaquinho players for inspiration. Great guitar store!

Lowlights: - Very hard to find. From the main street it's up a small alleyway halfway up the stairs by a building under construction. Apple maps did not have it right and we came from the top of the hill down and could not find it.
