And there it is: the best tapas bar I visited so far in Düsseldorf…read more Original stuff. Great taste and service. It's owned and run by a Spanish couple. I was looking for a place like this for a while. What I like a lot: it's a "tapas only" place, it's a rather small one and it's the real deal! Great!

The service is okay and so far this has been my favorite tapas bar in Dusseldorf. Would highly recommend the grilled/fried peppers, and the shrimp in garlic oil.

She and her partner are from Spain and recently added a new tapas menu to their offerings. We had a lovely experience and very good food. There is interior seating but we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. The lentil soup was delicious and the cod with spinach was cooked to perfection. The tortilla was a little different than the ones we enjoyed in Spain but still very good. Spanish tapas in Germany are a nice break from the traditional German fare.

I have to say I really, really like the concept here and wish we had something like this in the US…read more When you come in, you are given a "credit card" which is scanned that the food stations and presented when you leave as your bill. So you go up to any station (antipasti, salad, pasta, pizza, etc) tell the guys what you want and they whip it up fresh for you. So, you are getting fresh, quality food at a reasonable price (pizzas €6-8). And the key here is it's FAST. You don't have to wait around on a waitress for more drinks. Just go the bar, grab a beer and scan your card. When you're done, no waiting for the bill (one of my biggest pet peeves),you just give the host your card + pay and you're done. So - I had a pesto + spinach pizza which had a really nice pesto base with sauteed garlicky spinach and diced tomatoes. Very tasty and a nice crisp crust. In nice weather, there is outdoor seating sling the water. Very nice!

A solid Greek restaurant, located right at the beginning of Kamp-Lintfort's shopping mile…read more Upon my brother's recommendation, we came here with a group of 6 for a Saturday lunch. We were seated right away and drink orders were taken quickly. Since I had been looking forward to gyros all week, I ordered the standard staple: gyro with tzatziki and fries. My friend B. asked for the same while the rest of our dining companions ordered the "Brokkoli-Pfännchen"(a daily special made with broccoli and gyros, baked with cheese), chicken nuggets and fries (the perfect kids meal for our son!), a meat platter with cheese and some kind of meat loaf dish (sorry I forgot the name :/). All of us received a small salad and a shot of ouzo as a starter. Then the mains came out and everybody loved it. The gyros was delectable, the fries cross and spot-on and the tzatziki was perfect. Everybody else liked their food as well. Prices were OK - I'd say they were fair, but no bargain. Service was alright. We got what we wanted, but they didn't go out on a limb to please us. All in all a solid 4 star experience. I'd definitely come back.
