We have been here a few times. The most recently was for breakfast (Frühstuck)…read more We had orange juice and an apple/carrot/ginger juice blend. The orange juice was nice, but a small portion. The other juice was a very nice blend but cold have had a slightly stronger ginger taste. I ordered an Italian breakfast and my wife ordered a Mexican breakfast. We also ordered yoghurt with fresh fruit. I added 2 eggs to my breakfast, however they brought (and charged us for) a two egg breakfast plate. Which added about 3€ for one piece of toast and butter. I am not sure why she didn't just give me them as a side order. The Italian breakfast was meager. A few slices of prosciutto and a few slices of salami, a piece of soft cheese, some parmigiana cheese and a few small pieces of toast and marmalade. I was glad I ordered the two eggs. I didn't care for the salami, but the other items were fine. Nothing special. The Mexican breakfast was heartier. The chorizo was spicy and smoky but quite greasy and a bit over-cooked. The Serrano ham was good and the casserole (frittata-like) would have been better if it was heated. They presentation of the dishes is very good. The taste is average. The place was fairly busy and quite loud. The meals were brought out pretty quickly and the service was good. We will go back and try different dishes.

Only the fruit flies enjoyed our meal here…read more We visited on a Sunday afternoon and were seated in a dimly lit corner where we were dive bombed by fruit flies throughout the meal. When the food arrived, it was just ok. A lot of it went uneaten as the portions were big and the food bland. The waitress forgot one person's order so that he sat there without his food for 15 minutes when the rest of us had already received our food. I think we got unlucky, but I would never eat here again and cannot recommend.

We went for brunch on a Saturday morning. First of all it…read moretook the waitress about 10 minutes to come and get our order for drinks (2 latte macchiato) and another 10-15 minutes to finally bring them and take our food order. The selection is good and the food actually looks nice. But unfortunately the taste isn't good at all. I ordered the Diego Breakfast which was supposed to come with Chorizo, Serrano, Cheese, 2eggs and Tortilla and white bread. What I got was a plate where the Salami and Ham was definitely out of a Supermarket package, thick pre cut pieces that tasted super cheap. Not delicious at all. The Tortilla somehow was a potato dish with absolutely no taste (no spices). The eggs were super dry. The bread was some sort of white bread, halfway dried out and no taste as well. My friend had scrambled eggs with bacon and eggs Benedict which were both okay except the Sauce Hollandaise wasn't homemade either and tasted old. All in all really disappointing for a place that offers such a huge selection of breakfast. To cut up some fresh meat for your breakfasts shouldn't be of any problem and would taste SO MUCH better!

Rain or shine, you can count on Frida to be full of people. The place is pretty large, with lots of…read moreoptions for indoor or outdoor seating. It seems more popular as a drinks spot, but the tapas are solid as well. I split the large tapas plate (19.90) and it was enough for two people. The selection was definitely random and haphazard, and our waitress couldn't tell us what kind of tapas would be included beforehand, so only go for this if you're up for a surprise. My favorites were definitely the albondigas, chorizo and lentils - next time I'll just order these directly. For dinner, this place is probably 3 stars, but the bustling atmosphere and drinks menu makes it a solid 4. Perfect for after work during the summer.
