We were still able to find an excellent Sangiovese at our target price. The service was great the room beautiful and welcoming but the food is the star. They brought the excellent bread basket along with a very good taste of a ginger carrot soup. The wife ordered a steak served with potatoes and veggies and it was soft and tasty. I got the seafood and veggie platter. It's fried but so lightly and with no evidence of the oil used. There were shrimp and calamari and nicely shredded and fried veggies. We ended with and excellent but original take on tiramisu. Just a wonderful place for a meal and easily one of the best meals of our Italy trip.

Everything is made by hand and it's about as close as you can get to home-made quality without scoring an invite to a local's home. Some of my favorite go-to's here include Tagliatelle al ragù (there is also a variation that is made using Sangiovese wine that's fantastic), lasagna and grilled vegetables. Also don't leave without trying one of their amazing desserts (can't go wrong with Panna Cotta + caramel sauce). You'll need to speak a little Italian to come here (no English menus) but the wait staff is friendly and they will do their best. If you can manage to communicate enough to order you won't regret it. The food is simply amazing.

I would strongly reccomend a visit to this place. The staff speaks english, so if you as a tourist want to experience a real good traditional italian meal, this is definetively the place to go.
