I wasn't able to afford IV anesthesia (blame my insurance not the doctor) so I had to opt for Nitrous. The pain had gotten so bad that I unfortunately needed to get the surgery done the day before my birthday. BUT, oh my gosh. The surgery experience was fantastic. I remember hearing him say "first ones out," but I didn't feel a thing! My recovery was so smooth the next two days, no swelling, no pain, no blood. He's not a magician, he's an expert. He knows what he's doing. My surgery only took 30 minutes, and that's not because he rushed, it's because he is literally THAT good. If you ever need teeth removed by an oral surgeon, you will be in the best hands in the area (possibly the whole state) if you go to Dr Fantuzzo.

However, the procedure began before the sedative had taken full effect. I experienced significant pain and requested additional sedation, but the extraction resumed almost immediately afterward, and I remained in considerable discomfort throughout. After the procedure, Dr. Krzemien inquired about my dental crown. He then explained that it had been dislodged during the extraction and had been reattached using temporary cement. My regular dentist later examined it and found the crown to be damaged beyond repair, requiring full replacement. In addition to the unexpected cost of replacing the crown, I was also billed for the temporary cement and that bill is now accumulating monthly service charges.

He truly is exactly where he belongs. Rosanna the receptionist has become such a pleasure to talk with, always pleasant and full of energy. She works with you for the best available appointments. Kay the treatment coordinator works with you for payment options and is super helpful and very supportive. Check into the star membership, great dental care at an affordable price. Marissa is my hygienist and the most amazing individual there. She is so patient and caring towards me from day one. Even when I'm there for a procedure that does not require her she makes sure to stop in and check on me.., that's above and beyond. The entire office is astronomy themed, more like a cool science museum than a dental office. Even the bathroom looks like you're on the moon. Sitting in the chair is relaxing, they give you a blanket during dental procedures. There's a screen showing astronomy information and trivia as well as pictures of the staff. I'm so lucky to be a patient here, Dr C and the staff are so talented at not just the dental procedures but just as important the human aspect.

I was told they would give me a call back because I didn't have an appointment and it was a busy day. The call was returned in a timley manner and it was not the same person who I spoke to earlier. However, she picked up just like if I was speaking to her from the beginning. I went in that day for the consultation. DR. V examined my teeth, explained the issues and gave me the best options (Very Professional). He then handed me over to two lovely young ladies, both with the gentlest touch and tones. They photographed, checked my gums and each individual teeth was measured and logged. I have a condition called Bell's Palsy and even with all that action in my mouth I was extremely comfortable. The following day I had to get some medication. However due to the business and the Thanksgiving holiday I believe it was forgotten.I went back the following day to collect it and was told by the pharmacist they have nothing for me. I called the office and spoke to another lady who not only apologized repeatedly. She assisted me even staying on the line till the prescription was sent. Honestly, everyone I spoken to or came in contact with was so respectfully and genuine. They made me feel comfortable and was very communicative throughout the entire process. I was a bit scared at first, knowing what was going to happen in the procedure, but everyone was very kind and reassuring to me, even though I was being a bit of a baby. I didn't feel anything during the procedure, despite being fully conscious, and the rook of my mouth did not hurt at all after. I just keep my eyes closed and breathed through my nose. I don't have a dental phobia or anything, but still, the idea of a gum graft is rather gross so I'm glad they took good care of me. I highly recommend coming here for your gum graft needs. I believe they take most insurance providers; luckily mine covered almost everything, as it is an expensive surgery. My only constructive criticism is pain management. They prescribed me ibuprofen and a special mouthwash, but I think I could have used something stronger a couple days after the procedure. I was able to manage with just the ibuprofen, but a few times I had to take quite a few (800 mg) and feel Vicodin or something like that would have been worth it at that point. But, it was a minor inconvenience, as it was only this bad for a day or two. If you have to have this surgery, it's nothing to be scared of, really.

After filling out a short form I was taken right back. Dr. Brian Shaughnessy examined my tooth and the problem. Normally you would come back for a appointment however he decided to fit me in between appointments because of how much pain I was in. They really care about the patients here. I was given some anesthetic for the pain and it immediately started to work. The Dr. was able to start a root cancel on me right away. I felt so at ease here ( normally I'm a nervous wreck at the dentist) The staff continued to check on me as it took some time to take care of my tooth and working on other people. I left very drowsy but no pain. The office made sure to call me the next day to make sure I was ok. Tooth issues can be the worst but Victor Oral Surgery can be the best solution. I'm so thankful to Dr. Shaughnessy and the staff here for taking care of my tooth and me. Hopefully I don't have to get another root canal but if I do I'm coming back here.

It seemed as though Dr Cohen was trying to get through the procedure as fast as possible. When my son expressed something hurt, she said it didn't. Our first two appointments were not like this. My understanding was that we were coming in for tooth extraction that would just require laughing gas. I told my kid he wouldn't get shots. Imagine my shock when the Dr is injecting him without letting either of us know besides "just a little bee sting!" I asked to take a break. The Dr agreed and then gave him more shots. Had two crowns replaced on my two upper font teeth. The tech doing the preparation for the crowns…read morehad pretty much little experience at what she was doing and as a result the one crown does not reach the gum line and both of them hit my bottom teeth making it impossible to chew foo. I went back and the dentist tried to grind down two of the bottom teeth which were also crowns and ended up exposing the metal build up posts in the process. And after that they still hit each other while trying to close and bite. The attitude was pretty much there was nothing he could do about it. also I was charged for core build up on both teeth and insurance was billed for the core build up which I'm 100% sure was never done. (Insurance fraud?) When the new crowns did not fit right they should have been replaced with correct fitting crowns. As others have stated I agree it's all about the money and not about quality dental procedures. To correct the problem I had to have the two bottom crowns replaced so they no longer hit the top teeth. Fortunately they (Cornerstone Dental) knows what they're doing and corrected the issue that Henrietta Family Dental caused. So all said and done the two procedures totaled almost $7,000.00. My recommendation is to avoid this dental practice. I can highly recommend Cornerstone Dental to anyone needing dental work. Save yourself a headache and stay away from Henrietta Family Dental.
