I have been to him 3 times. Not the best personality but he prescribed the right drugs for my skin conditions.

I just went to Dr. Capodanno for the first time today. I have been going to dermatologists my…read morewhole life and he is by far the most knowledgeable. He easily diagnosed an issue that I've had that other dermatologists told me to either ignore or they didn't know what it was. He spent a lot of time with me and answered every single one of my questions. He actually explains your condition and gives you the medical terminology instead of glossing over it like you're an idiot like a lot of doctors tend to do. I highly highly recommend him. Great doctor. Nice guy. Hopefully, I won't need a dermatologist too often, but when I do - it'll be Dr. Capodanno. He really is the best! And his staff is very friendly and nice as well, which is always appreciated in a doctor's office though not often found in my opinion.

I chose Dr. Capodanno based on the Yelp Reviews alone and they are very accurate…read more First and foremost, this guy is well worth driving to San Pedro for, and waiting about 45 min passed my scheduled appointment for. I called about 10 other dermatologists and all were booked months in advance, but Capodanno's receptionists try to get you in the same day if possible. I had asked them "What time do you close?" And one said "When everyone is taken care of." That is customer service! Moreso, Capodanno was very friendly and had the best bedside manner and really knew how to talk on my level. Very educated, mild-mannered, compassionate and knowledgable and can lighten the mood. He is very professional and made sure I left with a smile. I highly recommend this guy. Worth the wait!

The poor score is not a reflection on PA Valentina Gomez, she's a star and I absolutely loved being…read moreunder her care. She listens to you and takes the necessary steps to help with your health issues. 5+ stars for Valentina. Negative stars for the front desk and nurses. They are the worst. Lucy is a grumpy old lady that doesn't know how to use technology. She wasn't able to provide me access to the portal. She also withholds from asking about co-pays and insurance payments until you ask for it. I don't know what kind of backwards policy that is, but I've never dealt with that kind of incompetence. Plus she doesn't listen or input my appointment times correctly--and guess who paid the price of a $75 no show fee. Me! She clearly doesn't want to work there because she always grumbles about my late appointment times. The other nurses clearly have something against Lucy as well, it looks like a hostile work environment every time I've been there. Lol

Just look at the BBB page and the Yelp reviews. They have offices all over the USA and that is their MO. I went to see a Dr Henderson and was quoted at least 5 times the price for a simple skin cancer screen was the cost of an office visit or 160 dollars. I paid my 160 at the time of rendered services and 7 days later got another bill. The MD spent 5 minutes with me and used his naked eye and said all was normal. The receptionist told me the visit was 160 before and after the visit and the doctor himself also said the visit was 160 when quoting the cost of possibly removing lesions. I paid AND got a receipt. And now they are hounding me for more and I cannot get ahold of the local office at all just the billing dept likely in another state or country. Avoid at all costs.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. David and her amazing staff! I've been seeing Dr…read more David for several years now and she has always been kind, patient, compassionate and incredibly positive. I have struggled with severe eczema my entire life and Dr. David was able to prescribe medication that has helped clear my skin tremendously. I'm so grateful for the care, knowledge, and genuine concern she has shown me throughout the years. It also makes me especially happy and grateful that my son is able to see her as well. Knowing that my family is in such caring and capable hands means so much to me. Dr. David and her staff are truly amazing, and I'm incredibly thankful for everything they do. I would absolutely and highly recommend Dr. David to anyone looking for an excellent dermatologist. Thank you, Dr. David and your wonderful staff, for all that you do!

I'll start with the good. Parking was easy, the building is nice, the office was easy to find, and…read moreoverall the facility itself is great. Unfortunately, my experience inside the office was a completely different story. From the minute I walked in, something just felt off. The first person who greeted me at the front desk simply asked, "What's your name?" No hello, no welcome, no "How are you?" Just straight to business. I actually said, "Hey, how are you doing?" and had to repeat myself. It almost seemed like he was surprised that I was asking how he was doing. It might sound like a small thing, but first impressions matter, especially in a medical office. A simple "Hi, welcome in" goes a long way. The office was also extremely quiet. I didn't see any other patients, there wasn't much going on, and the same elevator-type music seemed to be playing on a loop. I sat in the lobby for about five minutes while I could see staff talking in the back. Eventually, someone came out and brought me into an exam room. This is where things became even more uncomfortable. I was told to undress and stand on a white cloth because the floor was cold. No gown or robe was offered. I had to specifically ask for one, and the response was basically that they normally don't give patients one. I said I wanted one, and they eventually gave me one. That was a big red flag for me. If you're asking someone to undress for an exam, providing some type of covering seems like a pretty basic patient-comfort thing. Then the doctor came in with another person holding an iPad. I had no idea who she was at first. I asked and was told she was there to help document everything. Maybe that's standard for this office, but when someone is potentially about to examine you while you're undressed, I think an introduction and explanation beforehand would be appropriate. At that point, I had already made up my mind. I wasn't comfortable getting undressed or doing a full exam. I stayed dressed, asked the doctor to look at the two specific things I came in for, and kept the visit short. When I checked out, they asked if I wanted to schedule another appointment because the doctor wanted to see me again in 30 days. I declined. But here's the part that really sealed it for me. About 30 minutes after I left, I actually called the office because I wanted to give the doctor feedback directly rather than just go online and write a review. I asked to speak with her and was told she wasn't available. I left my phone number and asked for a callback. They even asked what the call was about, and I specifically said I wanted to provide feedback about my experience. I never received a call back. That was red flag number four. The frustrating part is that none of my concerns were about the building, parking, or even the doctor's medical knowledge. It was the overall experience and the lack of basic communication and warmth. Say hello when someone walks in. Explain what's going to happen before asking them to undress. Offer them something to cover themselves with. Introduce the additional person entering the exam room. And if a patient calls afterward specifically wanting to provide feedback, at least acknowledge the call. Those little things matter. I left feeling less like a patient and more like I was just being moved through a process. And when I tried to give the office an opportunity to hear that feedback directly, nobody called me back. Based on my experience, I won't be returning, and with the number of dermatologists available throughout Torrance and the South Bay, I personally wouldn't recommend this office.
