Very friendly and quick. A painless process. They seem to have quite a few branches throughout the area and look to be pretty convenient for my needs. Chose a home town bank over the big boys. OneAZ seems to do it right with that personal, friendly feel.

They also keep instructing us to "contact your dealer" even though the loan was a refinance. They send us a letter requesting documents which I mail back immediately along with a letter clarifying our position. A week later, corporate emails us saying they received our letter and apologized for the confusion, which was nice. But that very same day we open our mail and find another letter threatening us with a rate and payment increase because they've not received the documents "despite repeated outreach." That's false. We responded to the only letter they sent. It literally said "First notice..." It's clear nobody here knows what's going on. But when their money's on the line, they'll threaten you, blame you, and bury you in their internal mess even when you did exactly what they asked. In the beginning, they even asked to pay for their paperwork. It was only after I refused that they "agreed to waive the fee." Just be careful. If your loan involves a title, get ready for a mess. Oh and these letters? All attached here so it's not just my word.

My Desert Financial Credit Union Nightmare My wife died on…read moreOctober 25th, I lost my job a week later, and I have a daughter on disability. She had accounts that did not have my name on them. I'll skip to the end. After multiple attempts, each time receiving a different answer and incurring legal fees, it came down to bringing my daughter to the bank to cash in an IRA that was less than $1000.00. They gave us a check. For SSI Reasons, she has a cap on how much money she can have in the account, and it was already over the cap. I took her across the lobby to cash the IRA check, and they refused to cash it. On the good side, I was able to buy my wife her headstone. The final problem was my daughter's account that holds SSI money. I had to go to the SSI office to get a letter stating that I'm the party responsible. I returned the letter and tried to have the account changed so I could gain access. They told me that I had to wait until they heard from SSI. I called SSI, and they said that any existing money was between D.F. and me. I checked the account online; my name was on it. I went to the credit union, and they told me I still didn't have access. I had to beg her for her back rent money. Too: Desert Financial Credit Union, you win. Keep the money January 29th, I'm going back to SSI and having the deposit moved to another Credit Union I can trust. At least you won't get anymore. I'm selling my house and will cover expenses until she gets caught up. If Desert Financial says, "I'm making this up," they have a record of each visit and can publish it.
