Came here last night with two kids and a winter concert. Then a mob of school kids joined! There was 1 guy working behind the counter. He was very professional and he handled the situation so well! He was the only person serving about 30 kids! My kids ordered 2 scoops with some toppings! They thoroughly enjoyed! This Carvel is unkind. It was my niece's 10th Birthday. We had a coupon for a free cone. However, she is allergic to cones. We asked for it in a cup, they denied us. They said it's Carvel's policy only a cone, not a cup, it didn't matter about her allergies. That's just wrong. I went to another Carvel They were very kind, they gave it to her in a cup and they allowed her to choose a topping, even though it wasn't policy. The second Carvel was all about the kids. This Carvel on Jericho Tpk. in Garden City Park is not about the kids. They are just for themselves. read more

Unfortunately, I experienced poor customer service at the Williston Park Carvel location, the female manager failed to accommodate me after they had used stale sprinkles. There used to be this friendly male manager who'd always take care of you in any way, so will be going to this location from now on (Garden City Park) next to Lidl. This time tried the strawberry flavor soft-serve, it was delicious! The server was nice, but in a rush, she dispensed such a small amount on my cone, it was pretty frumpy. I was going to say something about the amount on my cone because for a small plop, I was paying $3.09 plus tax! Inside was okay, basic clean, but nothing to rave about. I hope that Carvel brings back Carvelite in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors. Nonetheless, everything was super fresh, smooth and tasted delicious! read more

I like the look of the place with the old school swivel chairs. It's nice and the location was clean when we were there. Decent selection of ice cream. My daughter was thrilled with their raspberry gelato. The kids size cup was good for the price. Will probably come back. Especially since I saw some of their promotions going on. I walked into the store with a $100 bill to buy a $50 gift card. There was no one in site except for a customer sitting at a table near the back. When the server came out, the man said he was first. I took out a flying saucer and opened it. I asked for a gift card and was told they don't sell them. When I said the carvel website had them she told me not at that location. I went to put the ice cream back but knowing I had opened it, I handed my bill to the woman. She took it and came back a minute later telling me she couldn't take my bill. Since I had just gotten it at the bank an hour before, I knew there was nothing wrong with it so I persisted. She said no. I handed her my flying saucer as that was the only money I had and she put my ice cream back in the freezer. I said she couldn't do that because I had opened it. She got snippy and took it from the freezer. As I was parked directly in front of the store, I could watch her reseal it and put it back in the freezer - that ice cream that I opened and breathed on! If I had been able to buy the gift card there, I would have told people to use it somewhere different. This Garden city Park store was filthy. I don't think the floor by the register stand has been cleaned in months. read more

Carvel still has the best soft serve ice cream. We usually go on Wednesday when it's BOGO and I get Vanilla Ice Cream with Peanut Butter Sauce but this time they had soft serve hazelnut. I love hazelnut so I had to try it with my peanut butter sauce. It was awesome, I really enjoyed it. The staff is usually young adults at night and they are always efficient and polite. It's nice to see this kind of customer service from young people. The store is always very bright and clean with plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your ice cream. I prefer this Carvel to some of the others in the area. read more

Went into this Carvel location for a black and white shake. The shake was very good but was not received without an issue. While the shake was being made I looked at the price list and saw that the small shake was $5.19. When I had to pay the employee asked for $6.43. I asked how come it was a dollar more than I would expect to pay. The employee stated that the chocolate syrup was an extra topping so it was a dollar more. How is chocolate syrup in a shake an extra topping? I definitely do not understand this dishonest charge and will not be going back to this Carvel. read more

Came here for free cone day. There was no line like other Carvels I went to. They offered vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel or pistachio to get. I chose salted caramel it was delicious! The staff was very friendly. The place was clean! In the freezer section they had a cute cake with the minions from despicable me! read more

Would give this 0 stars.. but have no choice. I highly recommended to NOT go to this Carvel location. Ordered the buy one get one on 8/11/21. Within 4 bites of my ice cream; there's a long piece of hair in my mouth. How hair gets in ice cream I do not know..!!! To begin with the workers (3 women) there all had their hair loose; not in a tight bun or pony tail so that definitely explains it. Requested a refund of my money back. I did not want a free ice cream in return because I feel disgusted to ever eat another ice cream from this place. I informed the women workers to report this back to their manager as it is extremely important they know their customers feedback....NEGATIVE feedback. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! It seems new people are running this store now. The previous people were courteous, remembered our order and always had smiles on their faces. They sometimes had a problem keeping the freezers cold enough, but after our experience last night, that's not too bad! At about 7:05 pm on a Friday, they only had enough cherry vanilla for one cup. No apology or anything. The girl was going to give us the second cup only half filled! She had a real attitude and kept muttering under her breath. I miss the those childhood commercials of then owner Tom Carvel gravely voice talking about the wonders of "Fudgy the Whale" and "Cookie Puss", with that crazy high pitched alien sounding voice along with cheesy organ music (check them out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS6ki8D7zQA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7wj9UmcjYk ). Pretty cool, but its no longer that Carvel anymore. Good ol' Tom got out in the late 80s selling the brand to some mega-corporation. Along with what I mentioned other classics are here such as the crunchies, the soft serve, the chocolate fudge, and the Flying Saucers, but to me they don't taste the same as they did when I was kid. Of course they added new flavors such as salted caramel, pumpkin and cappuccino to keep up with trends. Nowadays they rely on national brands such as Reese's, M&M and Oreo to come up with new novelties - so no more of the unique creativity of the early days. This location is a good one for what it is. It is relatively new having opened a couple of years ago. They do all the things you would expect from a Carvel nowadays. If it's Wednesday go and grab a two for one sundae and enjoy! read more

Great service, very clean and huge parking lot! Fresh ice cream and in the summer they saw my husband and I so often that they even stayed open later so we could finish our sundae. Friendly service when filling the order and the ice cream is what you expect. The only issue is the workers refuse to accept coupons. We were buying a cake and had a $3 off any cake coupon and they claim sorry can't apply it since the manager is not here. Never hear of such a thing. When we pressed the issue they said, we will get you next time, I really don't think so, actually this was the second time this happened they claimed sorry manager not here. I politely told them there will not be another time. read more

I love carvel soft serve in general and this location is a very good one. It's huge and relatively clean. The staff is always really nice, they don't skimp on the portions and there is a big selection of to-go treats. They do have tables but no restrooms. read more

I scratched my head as to why they opened a carvel at this location since there was another carvel in Williston park that's been there so long, it's a local landmark. After a slight misunderstanding over a cookie o' puss birthday cake, I decided to try this carvel out, & I havent looked back since. There are three reasons why this carvel has won me over: selection, quality & service. Selection, because the other carvels seem to only have larger cakes which fetch a heavier price tag. This carvel has a nice assortment of miniature cakes which are great for surprising the kids or the mrs. with a treat, in addition to having the larger cakes for bigger parties. Also, I've found that this location is the only one that consistently serves pistachio soft serve which is delicious! Quality, because at the other location my last few visits I frequently found the soft serve to be good, however close to melting and closer to the liquid side on the spectrum of consistency. At the NHP location, the soft serve is always delivered with a nice firm texture. Finally, I find that no matter what time of the day I visit, the service is always courteous & quick. The space is always bright & clean. Also, when I went to them with my request of a cookie o' puss cake for st. Patrick's day, there were no misunderstandings. When I picked up the cake, there was my man cookie 'o puss decked out in green like he was going to the parade. In the end, I really had a tough time turning my back on the WP Carvel. Like I said, I've been going there since I was a kid & now I hayve kids of my own. I had no intention of making this an NHP vs. WP review, however my advice to the staff at WIllie Park: cookie o' puss does exist, Google it! read more

Can you ever go wrong with Carvel Ice Cream?? Out of all the places locally, this is actually one of the cleaner spots. I would highly recommend it, there's plenty of seating. The store is also larger than some of the others in the neighborhood. I've been there a few times, with no disappointment. read more

The attendant, she was short with glasses, probably a teenager, was terrible at customer service! She made a full, tall fudge classic sundae then ruined it be shoving a lid over it, making the sticky icecream spew over the sides, without even asking! I was going to eat that in the car! Then she comes over to the cash register and tries to ring us up for the sundae a second time after her coworker just did it in front of her. This girl is oblivious to the needs of the customer and to the actions of her colleagues for coordination. read more
