I was in the mood for ice cream and stopped in for a kids cup since I try not to indulge too often. Most of the flavors in the case looked freezer burnt. I ended up getting chocolate chip mint with Heath Bar on top. The ice cream was okay, but the Heath Bar pieces were very stale. I only ate a few bites, and that was enough to satisfy my craving. The employee was rude as hell. No hello how are you ? She made our first shake wrong , didn't even offer to remake it. Then she made the hot fudge sundae wrong. Tasted old and gross. She was a miserable monster . The place is filthy. I will never go to this dump ago.. It's should be condemned. She didn't look clean . We asked for a sample . Honestly, I don't think I've ever had bad soft serve ice cream and this is coming from someone who has tried A LOT of places. The ice cream tasted extremely fresh and had a great consistency. Definitely better than most. I also loved all of the different soft serve flavors they offered and toppings. I ordered my standard vanilla chocolate twist with chocolate crunchies. This was honestly one of the best soft serves I have tried. I feel like the chocolate crunchies provide a unique texture and taste that is better than my usual choice of topping which is chocolate sprinkles. If you are in the area I highly recommend checking out Carvel. There's a ton of them in the Boynton Beach and Delray area so you can miss them. Enjoyed my encounter here Sunday night. New to the Delray area we are just starting to discover the fun and yum of the area. When I heard carvel was around the corner I perked up immediately and recalled my high school summers hanging out at the local Carvel and meeting my friends. My fav was always the hot fudge on the soft serve ice cream. My cravings won and we headed to the beautiful and clean Carvel store. It was fabulous. They have everything and more. Tonight by boyfriend and I decided to go get ice cream. It's Friday night so of course it was busy but the workers were incredible and so kind! There was one old man in line, huffing and puffing because of the wait. When it got to his turn he lost his mind on the workers complaining about the wait. My boyfriend and i defended the workers and told that old man he needed to have patience. The old man said "at my age i can do whatever i want." I know that Delray Beach is a known retirement area but this behavior is unacceptable. Unless you're in a rush to get to the golden gates please remember your manners and be polite to our service workers. Don't bite the hand that feeds you! read more

I just walked In with my family at 9:10 and noticed the chairs were put away because they were about to close. though they close at 10 posted on the door. Then I saw one of the employees rudely ask an older couple sitting down to get out of there chairs. an argument went on for a bit and these are the people running your business? The employee gave them a hard time and did not care what they said. The older man and his wife were in disbelief because they close at 10? this is not how you treat people and especially running a business? I returned to this Carvel location to see if there was a correction regarding employee not using food service gloves when scooping ice cream. I found the same situation as I watched the young woman scoop ice cream out of the container in the freezer for a couple in front of me. She also handled money after, then asked what I wanted. Well not scooped ice cream that's for sure! I had a cup and commented on the fact that she wasn't using food service gloves, to which she lyingly replied that she had them on just before serving me. Funny, but I was standing there watching her serve the couple before me. I told her this and she ignored the comment to which I replied that it wasn't sanitary to not use the gloves AND handle money also. I don't understand why so many people go there and don't see or comment on this problem. When I went to other places they always wore food service gloves. I've been to this location several times and always great service. I ordered a cake for my mom's birthday and I was able to get it with pistachio and vanilla ice cream. I love flying saucers and they always have a great selection of the single serve packaged ones. My favorite flavor is the soft serve cookie butter. If they have it, try it, it's delicious! Poor customer service. We ordered a dipped cone and the chocolate topping was odd tasting and looked watered down. When I told the manager she said "sorry I just can't exchange the cone just because you don't like it " So let that be a lesson for anyone buying anything here...you better like it because they won't change it. We were in carvel tonight. The line was long and the other girl continued to chisel the ice in front of customers as they waited. When it was finally our turn for our two for one sundaes, they ran out of most of the ice cream. When I asked if we could have regular ice cream she said no. I ate chocolate even though I ordered vanilla and chocolate swirl. Then we were eating outside and she asked us to get up because they were closing and needed to put the chairs away. I love Carvel. The Delray Beach store is new and very clean. They have a huge selection of ice creams, toppings and ice cream cakes. I always opt for a Soft Serve at Carvel; the Sea Salt Caramel is an absolute jackpot. Another important detail: it is much cheaper than a Kilwin's or Sloan's. read more

Absolutely disgusting facility and staff. Walked into 3 employees chit chatting, no welcoming hi or even a smile, ok, no big deal. Upon further notice, there were dirty napkins on the floor and the two tables they had inside were covered in what looked like a 3 year olds ice cream party. Go to order and noticed one female had gloves on but who knows when she changed them last especially after I just saw her grabbing her other employees hand. Our server, did not have gloves on at all and did not even take the time to wash his hands before he grabbed my cone and proceeded to scoop ice cream with his knuckles touching the ice cream itself. I get my ice cream, he rings me up, I used cash and he gave me my change. I'm thinking this cannot get worse from here but low and behold he proceeds to help the next customers with out washing his hands or even attempting to put on gloves. I noticed a couple of cameras and if I were the owner I would strongly suggest some sort or training or reprimand before your place gets shut down.
