I have always loved Carvel ice cream. My twist cone was delicious. At this location there is plenty of parking and the building is easily accessible. The portion was plentiful and the server was delightful. When I was there, it was really crowded with little kids so there was no place for me to sit either inside or outside. I'll have to choose a different time of day next time. read more

Today [08/19/2024] is National Soft Serve Day, the soft serves (cup or cone) are only $.90! So no suprise that the line was to the door when I entered but, they were surprisingly fast and I got to the front in no time! The man who took my order was so kind and gave me a pretty sizable swirl of the birthday cake soft serve. There were families with their kids mostly dining in and enjoying themselves. There's also outdoor seating for those who wish to enjoy their ice creams with a view. The vibes were classic ice cream shops in your neighborhood. read more

Carvel - Birthday Cake Mix Soft Serve in a Cup - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

Who doesn't love Carvel. When I was a kid I would get a large vanilla cone with chocolate sprinkles - now as an adult I opted for the a small cup of vanilla with chocolate sprinkles. In this location if you pay with cash, you are eligible to get a card to get punched to get a free cone. It is a small location so we sat outside but it was very hot out the evening we went so perhaps next time I would bring it home (the tables were dirty outside so we had to clean them). Don't forget to go get your Carvel on Monday,8/19 for $.90!! National Carvel Day!! read more

I really appreciate the custom cake that was made to celebrate my birthday. The team at this location did a great job following my requests for the cake and I have nothing negative to say about it. Location was clean and people working were nice. Quality of both the ice cream and the toppings tasted fresh and way better than other locations I have been to. Thanks again! read more

Went to Carvel and ordered a vinalla shake tonight. Going inside, the place was packed with people, and limited places to seat. The shake went for around $5 for a medium which isn't too bad when you think about it, but not great. The flavor on the shake was good though as it was thick and the additional vanilla syrup had boosted the flavor. read more

Wanted an ice cream cake to celebrate my dad's birthday. Went online and saw that Carvel had easy online ordering so I did just that. Simple, fast, couple of options to pick from and you can pay online or at the store. 5 minutes order was placed. I was happy. I got my confirmation email so, day of the pickup I went in the store and asked for my cake. They could not find my order. :/. They looked and looked but nothing. I showed them my confirmation email, and as it was a simple order they were able to make it on the spot in less than 5 minutes. They apologized for the inconvenience, they worked fast and hard to make it right and get me the cake I needed, and even gave me a discount for the it. While waiting for my cake, I was able to see this location is popular. Customer after customer kept coming in, either for shakes, root beer floats, soft served or regular ice cream (which they have a good variety of flavors) or ordering costume cakes, and they served everyone in a friendly and timely manner. They also have tons of pre-made cakes in different sizes in case you need something last minute. So, now I know to call or go in person to order, instead of doing it online to make sure my order is there, but also know I have a good place to get some frozen treats with great service. read more

Came in for a quick trip with the teen to get some icecream. He raved for the KitKat and ordered a medium. He gobbled it right up before I could even finish my junior size cold brew. Staff was great. Can't wait to come back to try others. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I'm a Brooklyn Girl who grew up with Carvel Ice Cream birthday cakes and any day in between! The Publix grocery stores sell the cakes here in FL but I wanted to go to and enjoy a Carvel store. I Yelped and found this location about 3 years ago and it's been my "go to" place since then!!! They even include the chocolate crunches with each cake!!! Best Carvel around read more

Very disappointed with the service at Carvel, the young girls that work there over charge customers on the Wednesday specials and then when you come back to question it, they use the excuse that some employees are new and I should remind them that it is a BOGO on the Sundaes! Seriously I have to tell them how to do their job. Must be ripping people off like crazy. read more

I've been coming here my entire life! My parents have been coming here for decades! My children are obsessed with this place. I love the staff, cleanliness and the recent remodels! Good dependable Carvel. Been around since I was a kid. (Who am I kidding? I'm STILL a kid ....at heart). Stopped in after a long hiatus because the kid and his girlfriend wanted vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. Being the loving Mom that I am, (not to mention that it sounded appealing), we went just for THAT; albeit, I had the kiddie cup of it, son opted for cone and girlfriend had medium cup size. ALL of us had the soft-serve vanilla that they're famous for AND the rainbow sprinkles because, well, they're fun!!! Isn't there STILL a "little kid" in ALL of us? read more

Classic ice cream that hasn't changed in decades. This place has withstood the rest of time. Every bite is nostalgic. The soft serve is classic. Ask for the chocolate shell. It is fabulous. Also the ice cream is kosher for those kosher individuals. read more

The staff was very rude to us! My oldest daughter left in tears because of how rude they were to us. I will get ice cream else where. Never going back! I never called the owner either, it was Carvel on Glades and I won't remove the review. Maybe the owner got a call from another person who was treated poorly but that was not me. read more

What happened to Carvel? They don't have layered cakes anymore?!?! Why would you mess with perfection? The box shows layered cakes (see my pic) but the staff said all the cakes are "swirled" chocolate/vanilla (strike one: gimme the layers!) and, regardless, the cake I bought is 99% chocolate (see mu other pic, and strike two, btw: some people, including special birthday girls, don't like chocolate ice cream). Wal-mart emergency substitute ice cream cake coming up! Thanks for nuthin, Carvel! Oh how the mighty have fallen! read more

Carvel on Spanish River in Boca Raton has the best ice cream in the area. It has supreme soft serve. It always has vanilla and chocolate and sometimes other soft serve choices such as coffee or strawberry. It also has many flavors in traditional scooped ice cream. I love their carefully prepared sundaes with topping such as hot fudge, whipped cream, nuts, and sprinkles. Specials are offered most days. Don't miss out on this delicious treat. read more

Brings back many memories growing up in upstate NY. The line was understandably long at 10pm with the weather nice and balmy. Efficient service and nice variety of soft serve, hard pack and novelties. Recommend read more

This place is old, run down and dirty. Ice cream refrigerator glass dirty. Floor full of topping bits and goop. Ice cream is good.

Ice cream and cakes and all the novelties are very fresh and taste great. The store is a local favorite. The owners are super friendly and know everyone in the community and love to chat with the adults as the kids get serious about their selections. It's clean and in a well lit shopping plaza with plenty of parking. read more

I love getting an ice cream cone at Carvel. I always get the soft serve, usually chocolate. The ice cream is creamy and delicious. This Carvel is open until 10 pm, which makes it a great place to get dessert after going out to dinner. Customers seem to love this place because there's always people coming or going whenever I'm there. It probably helps that there aren't any other ice cream parlors nearby. The prices are reasonable compared to most other places that sell ice cream cones, They have signs up advertising specials on different days. I want to come back on Wednesday when they have buy one get one free ice cream sundaes, They also sell ice cream cakes which are perfect for an ice cream lovers birthday. I would have given five stars but I deducted one star because the few tables and chairs they have are often dirty. I know people have been sitting there with drippy ice cream, but it's not very appetizing to eat at a sticky table. It would also be nice if they had a few more places for customers to sit, either inside or outside. read more

I love the mom and pop feeling. The extra crunchies when I bought a cake was a great touch. I would go out of my way to patronize this store. Seems like there are regulars. A young kid walked in and didn't have to say what his order was. Like old times! read more

I'm a Carvel guy to the death. Sure froyo is cool and it's hard to pass up the selections and toppings at Menchies, but I'd take Carvel over any of those places all day, everyday. Carvel is the OG of this. Soft served ice-cream in Florida is a perfect combination. It's Luke and Laura. It's Sonny and Cher. It's John Mayer and Katy Perry. Dairy Queen is cool, but really, have you ever seen them run by English speaking people? I'm not even sure they clean out those machines plus they sell those disgusting looking microwaved hot dogs. Give me a chocolate/vanilla twist on a cone and I'm set. But chill with those price increases. The cone costs 10 cents and maybe another 35 cents for the powered ice cream. No reason in hell I should be spending $7.50 on two small cones here. read more

Good ole fashion carvel. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember, and it still looks identical today from as far back as my memory goes. It's dated inside, but it's good ice cream. It's my go to spot for ice cream cakes for special occasions. It's also my second go to spot on cold days when those strange ice cream cravings come (can anyone answer why we always crave ice cream when it's cold out?). I love their soft serve, carvelanches, and milkshakes. It's close, convenient and good. read more

Best I've cream in South Florida. It's just as good as the Carvel in NY. Treat yourself it's worth it!

Not only are the treats always fresh and tasty but the store is clean and the staff very friendly. It's not unusual to run into people we know so it feels very small town at times as Boca is kind of spread out I have ordered cakes for special occasions and they have never failed me. Can't say that about many franchises. read more

The owner is still a shnorrer when it comes to Toppings. I actually witnessed him watching an employee like a hawk when she was adding a topping for another customer. I specifically asked for extra hot fudge, and there was less fudge than would normally appear had I not even asked. LOL! If the owner doesn't want to part with his precious hot fudge, he just lost another customer. All while the prices continue to increase. read more

A perfectly decent ice-cream shop! I don't have much to say other than (at the time I visited) they had Girl Scout cookie ice cream! YUM. I had a coupon from a local mailer, otherwise, it was a tad expensive, but not more than getting fro-yo or the like. Enjoy! read more

i was very disappointed with my experience. i have been coming here since i was a kid and it's never been like this. i ordered a small cup of soft serve and they barely put ice cream in it, and i also ordered a carvelanche. they mixed it in the milkshake machine and it was liquid like a milkshake so we couldn't even eat it properly. the one in delray is much better!! read more

Rediscovering Carvel about a year and change ago was one of the greatest things that's ever happened to me. As someone who suffers from a severe nut allergy, I avoided it out of fear of cross-contamination. However, Christine at this location is my go to for a multitude of birthday cakes in the family.
