Unlike others, we've had a terrific experience with Homes by Dickerson. Miles and Simon (PMs),…read moreRachel (Design) and Shireen (sales) were wonderful to work with. Our punch list was completely taken care of to the point of going over and above our expectations. Our house is beautiful, and we are very pleased. Having a custom home builder that worked with our design changes and incorporating them perfectly (unlike other builders) is exactly what we needed. Overall, 5+ in all areas!

We have had repeated coil failures, dangerously high indoor humidity (often above 70%), and eventually had to replace the entire HVAC system this month. After the replacement, humidity levels immediately dropped into the normal range, confirming that the original system was faulty. A professional mold inspection in July 2025 revealed Condition 3 (active mold growth) inside the ductwork, with multiple toxic mold species detected. We've also dealt with ceiling water damage, the failure of two refrigerators (likely from moisture), and most concerning -- our 2-year-old son has suffered repeated respiratory infections, requiring nebulizer treatments, steroids, and emergency medical visits. In July 2025, a company rep (Dale Pearce) entered our property without permission, failed to identify himself, and claimed the system had been installed correctly -- despite Ring footage showing it was already dismantled. He offered no documentation to support his claims and didn't inform us of the visit until nearly a week later. He spent exactly 5 minutes on our property and made no attempts to contact us for permission to be there. We've reached out repeatedly since June 25, but have received only two vague responses that ignored our health concerns, the mold photos, and our request for compensation. So far, Homes by Dickerson has refused to take accountability. We've since filed formal complaints with: - The NC General Contractor Licensing Board - The NC HVAC Licensing Board - The NC Attorney General's Office - The Better Business Bureau We're also aware of other homeowners in our neighborhood reporting similar HVAC and mold issues, and are now exploring legal action. **Buyers, beware. A premium builder name doesn't guarantee safety, service, or accountability.**

We met with Lisa to discuss ideas on remodeling our 1990s-era bathrooms because we were unsure of how to proceed. Lisa was able to present us a new vision, rescaling our plans and saving us a significant amount of money while still achieving our goal of creating an elegant, updated look and enhancing the function of the spaces. The savings on our bathroom remodels will allow us to embark on other redecorating projects that we thought were beyond our reach. We are thrilled! Lisa has amazing insights into melding function with beauty, and she has an appreciation of and respect for collectibles and antiques, and how best to display them to tell our family story. She has extensive resources to help us realize our vision. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Lisa to enhance our entire home, thereby enriching our family life. We are so pleased to have her as our guide in this journey! Kristine W.

In a 2021 real estate transaction, Scott E. Graves (ERA Live Moore / ERA Triangle Real Estate…read moreGroup) was the buyer's realtor. Two days prior to closing, Scott Graves allowed an individual, who was not involved in the real estate transaction, to communicate with the seller's realtor. This individual proceeded to verbally abuse the seller's realtor regarding the agreed to price of the home, to the point that the seller's realtor eventually ended the conversation by hanging up the phone. It is unclear what relationship this individual had to Scott Graves; however, what was clear is that this individual had no professional involvement regarding the home being sold. This event demonstrates a tremendous lack of professionalism on the part of Scott Graves. Now, if this is the type of realtor you are interested in retaining, by all means, use Scott Graves. However, if you would prefer a realtor that is professional and competent, there are many, many realtors in the Raleigh-Durham-RTP (Research Triangle Park) area for you to choose from.

We were in a sellers market, and Scott was on top of every listing that came close, we visited many listings the day they came on market. Scott's background in home construction was his greatest asset (I believe he was previously a general contractor). He could look at a septic system and immediately see problems that your typical realtor wouldn't be able to notice. He crossed off houses from our list for reasons that I wouldn't have noticed - saving me time and money in inspections. When it came to buying a home Scott and his team were on top of it, it was totally hands off and smooth as could be. He answered all my questions, made sure that all the inspections took place, and supervised nearly every single inspector to ensure we were getting the best work done. For my first house in the triangle area I couldn't be more pleased. Scott found me the perfect home in an ideal location for an unbeatable price. I appreciate all the time and energy he put into helping me find home. If you're looking for a realtor look no further - this guy will save you so much time and frustration because he sweats the details so you don't have to.
