I spoke with several realtors, and Steve was the only one to review the entire process before we signed anything. Imagine the best realtor your mind can invent. David is that good and then some…read more He was referred to me by some fellow school counselors who said he took care of them like they were his own daughters. I wanted to buy a home, but David advised me the time wasn't right yet because I didn't seem rooted. He was right! Shortly after, I moved away. But I referred him to several friends, who have happily bought homes from him. My parents bought a home with him, sold a home with him, and now my mom is buying another. David has years of experience, and knows a ton about what to look for in a home. He'll steer you clear of homes if he notices major fixes in the near future. He'll drive you toward homes that really fit who you are. He's responsive, knowledgeable, delightful, and extremely helpful. He takes 'above and beyond' to another level. I could go on and on, but I'll stop here and just conclude that I cannot more highly recommend him.

We recently sold our house and used David Jenkins as our realtor. Some of our experiences with…read moreDavid were positive and some not so much; enough things bothered us that I felt the need to say something. As other reviews have stated, David has a good understanding of how to prepare a house for market, he responds quickly to emails, takes good home pictures, and is knowledgeable about NC Real Estate Laws and processes. We also had some negative experiences. David felt that our house needed some sheetrock and painting work done prior to listing. The painters that he recommended and hired were horrible to the point that we almost fired them. They never arrived on time and were consistently one to almost three hours late with no explanation given. The quality of their work was not good; they did a poor job fixing interior sheetrock cracks. They were also hired to re-tape, mud, and paint our garage ceiling. They left our garage in such a messy condition that it took us two days to clean-up. They also ruined some of our possessions. Pertaining to determining the listing price, I felt that I had a better understanding of the current real estate market. After doing some research I felt that we could ask for $20K over David's recommended list price, so we agreed to increase the price. David was not as up on current home valuations as he should have been in this rapidly changing market. You need to stay on top of these changes to get top dollar. David seemed to be more fixated on the number of offers a home would get rather than pricing the house to attract fewer but higher quality offers. With the current red hot market you are bound to get homebuyers who lost out on several bids. These and cash sales are the people who are driving offers up. In the end, we did get over the listing price with our house selling right away. I do feel that David did not stick up for us in a way that I had wanted and swept behavior problems that we had with the buyer under the rug. For example we had multiple instances of the buyer sending their packages to our house prior to taking possession at closing. He had an unwillingness to ask them to stop or to tell them what they were doing was inappropriate. There was plenty of time for their package to be delivered to their own address or they could have picked-up their order themselves. Our move required two moving trucks, one for boxes going to an apartment and another to storage. We did not need the hassle and aggravation of keeping track of someone else's possessions. It was hard enough to keep up with our own. Lastly, we received confusing emails from David which tip-toed around whether we should leave the house for the buyer's termite inspection during the week of closing. "You do not need to leave the house for the termite inspection, but you could step out if you would like to and it is usually a good idea for the sellers to leave. They will find out tomorrow morning when they might be able to get a termite inspector in there." Later, he tells us that we didn't need to leave. So, I did not understand why he didn't say this in the first place! For the above reasons our experience should have been better, and I would be reluctant to use David again or recommend him to others.

We were being really picky and saw an incredible amount of homes all over the triangle and Tim was always willing to set up a showing and walk us through each one with such detail no matter how far his drive. We really appreciated that he offered his opinion on pricing and what he would do in our position. We've now worked with Tim for both selling and buying during the real estate process and we'd recommend him for both to anyone we know! I can't stress enough~ how amazing DEBRA WYNNE is to work with!!!…read more Here is the story... I am an overly attached (ok - hovering) mom of a wonderful 25-year-old daughter. Last year my daughter decided she was ready to purchase her first home. She met Debra, and being the invasive over-protecting mom I am, I had to meet Debra too. My daughter has been working since the age of 16 and is not going to be Debra's biggest sale of the year... quite the contrary. I am positive she may be one of the smallest commissions. But at no point was Debra dismissive or pushy or anything short of exceptional. You see, 2 months into this, I transferred with my job to California and left my daughter to make one of the biggest life's decisions by herself. But she was not alone- Debra treated my daughter with the care that any person would want their loved ones to be treated. She educated her, she was patient with her, and she listened to what my daughter needed and wanted. My daughter needed to make every dollar count. She didn't have a lot of wiggle room. And Debra always treated her like she mattered. It took a while, because my daughter gave some tough parameters, but as a team - they did it!! My daughter got such a great place!! Great neighborhood, good distance to work and fun, within her budget, and the home just feels like it was meant to be. Because of COVID, I was able to come back and help her get settled in. And as the first few months have passed, there has not only been no buyer's remorse- there has been more and more happiness and validation that this was a great decision. We owe so much to Debra! As a mother, I have actually shed a few tears at how thankful I am to have Debra's kindness, keen knowledge and resounding integrity during this time for my daughter. Not only is Debra wonderful- but all the people in her network as well! The mortgage broker (shout out for Franco and Barb Multari) and the staff at Fonville Morisey (Janee- you rock!) all added to what a wonderful experience this has been. Would HIGHLY suggest any of their services!!!!

Before signing ANYTHING with this company you have the right to know their definition of 'excellent…read moreservice'. Your agency agreement is with Long and Foster, the parent company, not the agent representing you. I was told by a Senior VP that I received an 'excellent' service where my agent was (unbeknownst to me) on provisional status and allowed to represent me without supervision. I was 'required' to sign a 6% agency agreement and if I didn't, Fonville/L&f could not submit my offer. I was not allowed to see the property disclosure statement until I signed this 6% agreement, and when I asked if there was anything I should know, my agent remained silent. (The home's defects were removed from the property disclosure, which she was well aware of). Finally, after making my offer, my agent altered my '10% down payment' to show '80% lvt', thus creating forgery in my name. This review will be up until they employ means to remove it, which is their response to factual reviews.

The prospect of building a new home without being physically present during its construction made us a bit nervous, so we picked our realtor very carefully. It was obvious that Steve had a lot of experience. His depth of knowledge was very impressive and eased our concerns regarding new construction. Steve's attention to detail was second to none. More than once, we were able to avert a serious problem because Steve noticed it early on while it was easier to address it with the builder and have it fixed. It was during these times that we were grateful to have a realtor that not only had an eye for detail but also the experience to know what to look for. Steve was also invaluable in our dealings with the builder; he has great communication skills and always gave us great advice each time an issue arose during the build process. I highly recommend Steve Doyle to anyone who is looking for a realtor in the area. I'm just sad that I can't hire him to sell my house in Arizona. We worked so well together that it felt like I knew him much longer than I did.
