    Butter chicken from Ganesh Masala
    Nicola B.

I hadn't been to the Fulton Mall in years! At the time of writing, it's still under construction, so Carthop is taking place next to a building site... but I admire that they're keeping on trucking (pun not intended, honest) and keeping this thing going. It's a great spot to take a wander to if you work Downtown and it seemed to be doing pretty good business when I rocked up with my brother last week. Carthop hosts a couple of the same trucks I've seen at the Enzo's Table lot on Sundays, including Ganesh Masala and TaKo BBQ, and on this day there were also trucks from Raw Fresno and Dutch Bros serving coffee. It seems to be a revolving cast. I went for a butter chicken curry at Ganesh Masala, $7 including rice and naan bread. The carbs were the main event here - buttery naan and fresh fluffy rice. I enjoyed the flavor of the butter chicken but I must say it was a pretty measly portion of chicken, not much to fill me up. It was good enough that I'd give the restaurant a go, but I hope they do up the stakes in the protein department, as my brother's paneer didn't have many veggies in it either. All in I think it's awesome that they make the effort to bring these trucks round on the weekly, and it seems they move around a little depending on where the construction is at week-to-week. Get out there and give them some support!

Casa de tamales and their $8 lunch deal

It really brings life to the otherwise quiet Fulton mall with live music, people gathering around, and more delicious option to eat for lunch on Thursdays at Fulton Mall and for people working in Downtown Fresno. There are about 5-7 trucks each week, mainly: Tako BBQ, Dusty Buns, Summertime pies, Casa Tamales, Matties Pizza & Raw Fresno. This food truck is also consistently there every week on Thursday, so I usually look forward to it because I get a variety of different things to eat. The food is not cheap but they are quality, be prepared to spend $8-$12 for meals, and credit card and debit card is accepted, although I think cash would be easier and faster while paying. It feels very safe to be at Fulton mall despite the popular belief that this place is ghetto on Food Truck day, for those who aren't working in downtown and coming for the food truck event at Fulton I would advice parking at CVS, its free. I would come early at about 11/11.15 to avoid the lunch crowd. There aren't that many seats to eat there probably 2-3 tables, but most of the for can be eaten standing up or just perfect for take out. I do enjoy the live music misty so much fun. Overall a very nice put together on a Thursday for downtown. I of course would love more tables and chair and maybe even more options here like ice cream and etc during summer.

I think this one is called bistro burger.

Wish there were more taco truck varieties. This is my 2nd time there. I'm not a huge fan of the KBBQ taco truck, but try it if you've not tried it before. but my new fav is dusty buns! Def must try. Casa de tamales was mediocre. But good deal of you want a drink. We got the two tamales meal with a drink. salsa was not too spicy, more sweet. But I can handle spicy food, so if you prefer sweet, def get it! There were not a lot of people so very easy to get in and out. I plan to return to try the other taco trucks (summertime pies, raw Fresno (??) and the wood fire pizza truck). Bring more vendors/trucks! :)

I dunno. CArtHop started off okay, but it doesn't seem as good, anymore. I sure won't be hanging out at Eaton Plaza when Summer's cooking.

They were parked in front of Food King convenience store and I'm very glad I saw them come down the street and park. They weren't done setting up but stopped what they were doing and turned on their TVs so I could take a look at their menu, really appreciate that! I came back a little later and ordered a chicken wrap for my wife and a 10pc wings for myself. The wings were delicious! At $10 for 10 wings that's a good deal and they had plenty of meat on the bones. I got the BBQ/Garlic sauce flavors and they both had me licking the bones clean. My wife's garlic sauce wrap tasted so fresh. They have a fantastic combination of ingredients in there and it was good hot and cold when she was eating the leftovers. It's just one of those unassuming meals where you finish and you are just so satisfied with the flavors you keep thinking about it hours after you ate. I hope I'm in Fresno again when y'all are set up because I definitely want to come back and try more of your food. Keep it up guys!! Sorry I didn't take any pictures before hand, could post a picture of the wing bones absolutely picked clean though

When I got home and opened the carton, I was very disappointed to find the SALAD was about 85%, mostly greens, the rice was about 10% and the leg and thigh were so small I wouldn't even say it was 5% of the entire order! I've NEVER seen such a small chicken! The photo on the website was very misleading as to the size of the chicken - hardly enough meat at all and for $15.00? A TOTAL waste of money!

I always thought…read moresushi from a food truck seemed a bit strange, but I checked out their page and the fish looked really fresh, so I thought I'd give it a go. The woman who helped me was nice--just standard service. I ordered my roll and was handed a little pager thing to wait for my order to be ready. Once it was ready, I was handed the roll in a styrofoam box and went to eat it at a table. I got the orange dragon roll, and it was absolutely delicious. The salmon was some of the freshest-tasting (and texture) I've ever had! Not to mention everything else in the roll complimented it perfectly. Definitely check them out.

The Grobak Sushi menu is limited with 14-sushi rolls offered and three other items; takoyaki balls, gyoza, and spam musubi. I went with my bartenders recommendation and ordered the Orange Dragon roll. This is tempura fried shrimp, spicy crab, cucumber, and topped with salmon. I know this isn't traditional sushi, but it was still delicious! Everything tasted extremely fresh and really hit the spot. From the time we ordered to the time, our food was done was less than 10-minutes. I normally opt for soy wrap, sushi, which they did have and I greatly appreciated. If you're out and about and see this food truck at a farmers market or your local brewery parking lot, do not save on this and order some sushi ASAP!

I need to expand my range of their menu next time, but the crying tiger and dipping sauce is just so dang good. The folks who work this truck are helpful and kind too. One time out at the college, they ran out of, if you can believe it... sticky rice! They did notify us before we ordered, but again, that steak and dipping sauce was just something I couldn't resist. They quickly offered to replace it with eggrolls and we got 4! (There was another time that they did not come out to a scheduled spot due to weather. And I wondered about food trucks not coming out due to rain, is it a functionality thing for the truck or do they think people won't be out and about to purchase? Because let me tell you staff love a chance to order food that isn't the cafe without having to leave campus! Haha)

They have windows on both sides of the truck but I guess the working windows faces the street. That's where we order and pick up. Totally didn't know that stood there like a dummy u til someone said something. When we went around the truck, it was against a curb and there were small puddles of water. I'm not sure if it's the trash cans that smelled or there was a sewer really nearby. It smelled really nasty. My daughter insisted that she still wanted a mango smoothie and coconut water sounded pretty refreshing. Plus, we were already patiently waiting for a while before someone told us to order on the other cramped side. The lady that took our order wasn't friendly. She just ask what we wanted to order. She looked at me with a confused face when I said coconut water and mango smoothie. Maybe she didn't speak English? She walked away from the window I'm assuming to ask someone in the truck about our order. A man came to the window and ask what we order and we said mango smoothie and coconut water. He translated to her. Our drinks only cost $2.50 each which is sooooo inexpensive. I didn't see the prices listed for the drinks, only for food. The window was a bit high, so I'm glad I am not shorter than 5'3! I was standing on the curb too! After a few minutes, we got our drinks. The mango smoothie was dripping on the side so we had to clean it up. My daughter said it was delicious and she can taste the freshness. (Frozen mangos) my coconut water was in a really big container and it was super refreshing. It was warmer than chilled but colder than room temperature. I had minimum bits of coconut bits in my drink. Overall, the drinks were really good. Service could be way better, the man was nice. I probably wouldn't order from them again if they are in the same location facing the street because of the smell. But if saw them anywhere else at an event, I would for sure order again!

Can't wait to try the mangoneadas! I was surprised at the price, but honestly, it's a lot of fruit, and it was all fresh and great quality. The corn was pretty tasty too. No idea what was in it, my guess would be mayo, butter, maybe some type of creama instead of butter, queso fresco and chile powder. So definitely a lot of dairy! If that is not your thing, grab a roasted corn instead! My 3 star ratings is really for the inconvenient set up. They have the ordering window on the street side (I'm sure to entice others to stop by), but the street side is positioned on this weird planter/curb area, which is muddy and smelly. They have put plastic pallets down in front of the ordering window, but it is still not the safest area. Don't get me wrong the actual location is great central spot, close to Fresno State, but the location on the premise itself could be reworked I'm sure. Don't necessarily know if that will totally stop me from coming back, but just an honest look at the place!
