Blessing Family Thrift Store

Blessing Family Thrift Store

I was passing through the area and spotted this thrift store in the Cornerstone Center so I stopped…read moreto browse. Blessing Family Thrift is in suite B. The store is small inside but packed with clothes, accessories, perfume and cologne, and a few home goods. They had a nice selection of purses. Items were both new in package and used. For instance I saw new bedsheets and comforters, some clothes still with tags, and children's shoes. Outside they have a few books, artificial floral arrangements and plants, appliances, and other large items including a bicycle. The store is operated by a family and the kids were playing while the adults sat outside. I am more of a vintage shopper so the items here weren't really my taste but I would stop by if you needed inexpensive clothes and shoes or perhaps something for a residence starting out.

They have a display of items in front of the store to entice you to stop by. We browsed a couple of these outside tables before going inside. They have a bit of everything -- household and kitchen goods; clothing; knick knacks and bric a brac; shoes and purses; books and bicycles. Some items are new in their packages -- like the colognes and the sheet sets. It's family owned and operated. They were quite nice. Prices are very reasonable.

I like the brand and have found many useful items at their stores in the past -- plus some very good Christmas gifts. And they've had some fun shirts for my husband. I wanted to come here to see what was new in stock. Even though they are a chain, there is sometimes a slight difference in what items each store carries. I really enjoyed this particular store. Everything was clearly marked, stacked very neatly, with lots of inventory, and easy to find. While browsing, I saw quite a few items that I liked. And I even brought a number of items into the dressing room to try on. My husband found a couple shirts on sale that were a bargain (really! one was $1.99.). So, adding in some things that fit me and that I knew I would get a lot of use out of, and were reasonably priced (they had many items at 30 to 40 percent off), I couldn't resist bringing them home. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that when I went to the check out that I had a few dollars in loyalty credits, so my purchase was even less expensive than I'd expected. Now that I have been here again, I shall be coming back more often.

I went in to try on a dress for my anniversary and the sales person told me that I had to be careful trying on a dress that was a medium (my size) since there was no zipper and it might rip on me if I try it on. I tried it on and there was no ripping. I felt it was unnecessary to say anything to me about it. Then to overhear how something may be oversize on another women next to me is extremely unkind. I shouldn't have to worry about someone mentioning my size or how something may fit me if it is my size. No one has ever said anything like that to me anytime I have been shopping at a store. I hope this gets fixed and the women who was there is held accountable for being so cruel. Otherwise dresses are very cute. I'm glad this place is closing. It's upscale but workers are not welcoming whatsoever. I walked in and instead of being greeted like the one after me I was the one who had to say hello first normal, however i was being ignored for the most part.

I was looking around for something specific and she was very helpful in the different designs and styles that were hung up in certain sections, to make outfits for my new job. I had the best laugh looking at the slippers with a different sayings on them I literally laughed out loud when I saw the candles also! Please go check this out, it is in Wellington on Forest Hill on the outside of the mall you will not be disappointed.
