Amazing location... stopped to get gas, the price was the same as everywhere else and thought might…read moreas well pop inside to see what's what... I have a habit of going immediately to the beer section to see what they carry and I went straight to the back. There was a very nice selection of crafted brews, 3 glass cases full, and 4 cases of the big batch stuff.. pretty nice selection for a small country store. But then I turned the corner... there was another 4 glass cases full of more craft brews here too... and a rack of big boys too!! I was stunned!! Then I really started looking... there must have been 150+ different brews here! As I spun around I noticed a wine selection that would rival most grocery stores as well! Not just reds with a couple of whites either... a full selection of whites as well. Ok now I was Impressed. Forget the fried chicken stand or the cowboy hats and belts... forget writing about the funny candy deal I found... this location just got put on my map! I took a bit and selected a very good, harder to find, stout and walked up to check out... the owner was standing there and commented on my great selection... then he said "I know that one is harder to find, but if there are other types we don't have, that you would like, let me know and I'll get them too!" I'm serious as a heart attack... no freaking joke! Great guy, great selection, I'm going to be a regular here for sure!

Prices are ridiculous and make NO sense. 20oz soda....$2.49. 2 liter soda...$2.99. Realized what a…read morerip off it was? No refunds! No need to shop here ever if they are just going to steal from us!

H-E-B - Elgin TX HEB has been having bad meat for months! This is a problem. And the expiration date on them is fine. It smells and is discolored.

Twice, Anahi has not said "Hello" or even a "Thank you or direct eye contact; nor a simple smile of acknowledgement. I noticed she did this with both the ones ahead of me and when I went through; she spent most of her time "chatting with a co-worker that had just come back from vacation" (across from me and quite ignoring simple common courtesy of service). You would think that because we are a smaller HEB than the ones in Austin and larger shopping areas would not have time for common courtesy, yet they always take the time to say "Hi" or smile and lately it has been that this is not so with our younger millennials. I was quite surprised that the "bagger" was much more friendly and said "Thank you"(with a smile); even though he did engage in the conversation; without being rude to the customer. I have worked in retail, grocery, fast food, labor, etc and have never not taken a few moments to acknowledge my customer (no matter their appearance or demeanor). Customers are the reason jobs continue forward and a simple rule of "pay it forward". Now, I would rather wait in a longer line to actually not have to end my shopping with such a "sour taste of customer service". I applaud the employees that do always take the time to greet either with eye contact, a smile or a simple "Hi" to the public.
