We remodeled our kitchen and were recommended by North Valley Lighting to contact Tony Carter. Tony was great and come right out to give us a bid. He was great at giving suggestion which might make us even happier with the electrical needs we had. Tony brought Billy out to introduce us and walk Billy throught my requests. We were THRILLED with the work Billy did on our kitchen. His knowledge was great and he was a super nice guy. Billy also made a few suggestions which were VERY helpful and made the final result so much nicer. Whenever I had questions, Billy was happy to text or have me call him with the answers. He went over and beyond my expectations. We were so happy with Carter Electric we will have them do the work on our new business location. I HIGHLY recommend them. read more

I was pleased with the outlet install, but, was charged a significant amount, which was $600 additional to the trip fee. The trip fee made sense, but, how it was $600 more, when, they were only working for 2.5 hours. The job was not even a complex one, just tapping into a current line and installing an outlet. Will never use this company again. All the more reason to stick to more trusting professionals. Good luck with your business. read more

Matt and Kyle came out and did a great job putting in an electric vehicle charger and circuit. The job was done in a timely manner and at a fair price. I've used Carter before and will again! read more

Great work! Quick response to my inquiries and incredibly helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.

I can't recommend Carter Electric enough. 6 stars? I wish. Gabriel was our technician. He was amazing in terms of abilities, time consciousness, and customer service. He was amenable, funny, helpful, and made recommendations for future work. This was one of our best experiences with the trades. Gabriel made the difference. What if we all had a Gabriel coming to our homes to help out? It would be a better world! On time, on budget, fabulous work. Whew! Thank you! read more

This is an Awesome company! They have came to my rescue multiple times. Superb quality work!

The estimate was in line with another one I received, it included the permit (and cost) as part of the estimate, they did a very professional job installing a plug for an EV charger and another outside plug for an irrigation controller . . . tidy job, cleaned up, personable crew . . . am very please with the result . . . would recommend them to friends, and, use them again if needed . . . read more

I had an appointment for Carter electric to come do some electrical work on my house. About an hour went by past the appointment time and no call from Matt. I decide to call and no answer. Called several times to see when they were coming. Never did hear back from Matt.I set aside time and waited for them only to be blown off. I found it very disrespectful and a waste of my time. I will not be using them in the future and maybe I'll hear back from them one day about the appointment they decided not to show up to. Michelle: This is the correct company, the name is not correct on the profile. read more

Showed up early, did the job to my satisfaction. Friendly and excellent communication, start to finish. Would use again.

I inquired the other day about possibly hiring them for a small outlet project, and was turned down due to "heavy workloads." While I understand this place is popular and is backed up, if I was running a business I just wouldn't tell a potential client no and that you are to busy for them. I did explain that the work I was requesting (upgrading some outlets in the house to tampered resistant ones) could wait and didn't need to be done soon, but I was still turned down. It just didn't sit well with me, as my wife and I both felt like we didn't matter to them. So I guess I won't be using this company in the future, which is unfortunate for them because I have some really large projects next year that will require a lot of electrical work. I will say that the owner seems like a very nice guy though and was quick to respond which I appreciated read more

Matt and Kyle did a great job on the install very clean work, we are all solar and had the plumber hook up a tankless water heater which unfortunately did not work with our system. Only thing I could recommend is that each plumber uses a specific electrician and visa versa. Unfortunately 7000 dollars later we paid for both and still did not not have a working hot water heater. The work done was on point, just wish before the install I would have known that the tankless system will not work with solar. Oh well, ended up installing and replacing with a 10 gallon tank heater myself works great. read more

I reached out to Carter Electric on 7-15-24 to get an estimate on a portable generator interlock installation. The lady who answered the phone was polite and pleasant. The owner, Tony, jumped in on the call and I informed him of the requested work. He had me send him some pictures of my electrical panel, which I did. He told me he would have an estimate out by COB that day. I received the estimate on 7-17-24, 2 days later and we made a change on one part, the power inlet box. I wanted a SPECIFIC style inlet box mounted. Technician arrived on install date 7-23-24. He stated that he did not have the inlet box that we agreed would be installed and was listed on the estimate. He stated that it was on back order and unavailable for 3 months. Technician wanted to install unapproved parts that were not listed on the estimate. I asked technician why I was not informed that parts were not available. He apologized, and I told him it was not his fault. Tony the owner failed to communicate with me, his customer, and I was not happy that he wasted my time. I called and left a VM requesting a call back so that I could express my disappointment in him and his company. Today is 7-25-24 and still no call back. I found the inlet box online and it was readily available through multiple vendors and local big box stores. Truly disappointed! read more

Not having knowledge of local electrical contractors, I relied on reviews and advertising. Carter Electric (CE) performed their work on time. The team was very nice and knowledgeable about their work. I needed a hot tub spa wired and my electrical panel was on the other side of the house, they ran new cable wire and worked around the hot tub company's schedule to complete the job. We needed work done to fix our bathroom light and fan. The previous owners of the house used a ground wire as the neutral. He did a great job. My dog liked him, too. read more

I was looking for a good electrician and found Carter Electric on Yelp. Before I called them, I called two other electricians who did not return my call. Carter Electric had a "live" receptionist who was friendly and knowledgeable. As soon as I called, they sent a tech out immediately . They were honest, timely, clean, friendly, and professional. They were able to quickly diagnose my problem and made the repairs right then and there. I usually try to find good contractors through word of mouth but this time I had to rely on Yelp and I am very happy with who I found. I will definitely be using them again. -Carly read more

I called in the middle of the afternoon and had to leave a message. I was calling for an electrical bid on installing an attic fan. It was a simple job estimate. I understand that some jobs are small in comparison as far as revenue for the company but a call back would show that the business has acknowledged that I have value as a customer. This business did not even have the courtesy of a call back that they were not interested or too busy. Service is more than just what you provide for your existing customers but also what you provide for potential customers. read more
