I had an appointment for Carter electric to come do some electrical work on my house. About an hour went by past the appointment time and no call from Matt. I decide to call and no answer. Called several times to see when they were coming. Never did hear back from Matt.I set aside time and waited for them only to be blown off. I found it very disrespectful and a waste of my time. I will not be using them in the future and maybe I'll hear back from them one day about the appointment they decided not to show up to. I reached out to Carter Electric on 7-15-24 to get an estimate on a portable generator interlock installation. The lady who answered the phone was polite and pleasant. The owner, Tony, jumped in on the call and I informed him of the requested work. He had me send him some pictures of my electrical panel, which I did. He told me he would have an estimate out by COB that day. I received the estimate on 7-17-24, 2 days later and we made a change on one part, the power inlet box. I wanted a SPECIFIC style inlet box mounted. Technician arrived on install date 7-23-24. He stated that he did not have the inlet box that we agreed would be installed and was listed on the estimate. He stated that it was on back order and unavailable for 3 months. Technician wanted to install unapproved parts that were not listed on the estimate. I asked technician why I was not informed that parts were not available. He apologized, and I told him it was not his fault. Tony the owner failed to communicate with me, his customer, and I was not happy that he wasted my time. I called and left a VM requesting a call back so that I could express my disappointment in him and his company. Today is 7-25-24 and still no call back. I found the inlet box online and it was readily available through multiple vendors and local big box stores. Truly disappointed! read more

Matt and Kyle did a great job on the install very clean work, we are all solar and had the plumber hook up a tankless water heater which unfortunately did not work with our system. Only thing I could recommend is that each plumber uses a specific electrician and visa versa. Unfortunately 7000 dollars later we paid for both and still did not not have a working hot water heater. The work done was on point, just wish before the install I would have known that the tankless system will not work with solar. Oh well, ended up installing and replacing with a 10 gallon tank heater myself works great. read more

I inquired the other day about possibly hiring them for a small outlet project, and was turned down due to "heavy workloads." While I understand this place is popular and is backed up, if I was running a business I just wouldn't tell a potential client no and that you are to busy for them. I did explain that the work I was requesting (upgrading some outlets in the house to tampered resistant ones) could wait and didn't need to be done soon, but I was still turned down. It just didn't sit well with me, as my wife and I both felt like we didn't matter to them. So I guess I won't be using this company in the future, which is unfortunate for them because I have some really large projects next year that will require a lot of electrical work. The team was very nice and knowledgeable about their work. I needed a hot tub spa wired and my electrical panel was on the other side of the house, they ran new cable wire and worked around the hot tub company's schedule to complete the job. I called in the middle of the afternoon and had to leave a message. I was calling for an electrical bid on installing an attic fan. It was a simple job estimate. I understand that some jobs are small in comparison as far as revenue for the company but a call back would show that the business has acknowledged that I have value as a customer.This business did not even have the courtesy of a call back that they were not interested or too busy.
