If they had more star options I would have given max. Awesome experience from start to finish. Communication was on point and so refreshing to have good quality work done in a timely manner. I had been dealing with an electrical issue in my garage for approximately two months. No one could seem to figure out what was the problem. I called Nate and he came out the same day. After he checked everything, he said he was pretty certain a GFI had tripped on an outlet that was probably located behind a storage rack that he couldn't see or access due to the items blocking it. He suggested I check which I did a couple of days later and he was absolutely right. It had tripped and after a push of a button, my electrical issue is solved. When I asked him how much I owed, he said nothing. I was astonished! He said he was glad it was working. I would highly recommend A-1 Electric - they are professional, reliable and honest! I would definitely call upon them again for anything electrical! Sharon Weaver read more

Nathan did a phenomenal job at our property. He was very professional and knew exactly what would look good in the house. He added about 16 canned lights, an electric car charging outlet, installed 4 ceiling fans, added a chandelier, and a couple of outlets inside and outside. He worked very professionally and quickly. He communicated very well and even face timed with me to get my feedback before proceeding to install anything. We are extremely happy with the finished product and our home looks transformed thanks to his work. We would recommend him to family and friends. 5 star service for sure!!! read more

Had an emergency breaker issue where some of the house was without power and I had guests coming later in the day. Nate intially told me he was booked up and couldn't get to me that day, but as I explained my emergency situation he adjusted his schedule to fit me in. This kind of customer service is rare in Redding. Time and time again, Nate comes through, gets the job done at reasonable prices. Highly recommend! read more

My lights were flickering and my swamp cooler would go on and off so I thought something major was wrong with the electric lines in the walls so Nathan came out (I live in a mobile home park) and decided very quickly that the problem was with the parks breaker in the pedestal so after he left I called the park and the next day they changed the breaker and everythilng seems right again and the swamp cooler is working again. read more

Nate with A-1 Electric recently installed a ceiling fan for us on a challenging high mounting beam. He first had to disconnect and take down our old fan. He did an outstanding job and was very personable and friendly. Very professional and knowledgeable. Quite reasonable cost, particularly in view of the difficult installation. Highly recommended. Will definitely engage his services for future projects and encourage others to do the same. Thanks Nate! Craig L read more

It was a pleasure to work with Nathan. He installed recessed lighting in several rooms in my home, added a bathroom fan, and changed a chandelier. He always did what he said he was going to do, showed up when he said he would, charged the agreed-upon price. He was a courteous and quiet worker throughout the 3-day job. He gave me options and ensured that he understood what I wanted. He was kind and friendly to my family. He did a beautiful job and we have received several compliments on his work. Highly recommended. read more

I stayed home today to get a kitchen electrical problem fixed, but the contractor who was supposed to get on it was a big fat no-show. Didn't even get a call from him telling me he was hung up with something. Totally blew me off. Thanks, man. Thanks a lot. So I call the guy who owns A-1 and describe the problem to him, and he says it's obviously a breaker problem. "Yep," I say, "That's what I figured, but I went out and reset the breakers in the main panel and all of the mini circuit breakers in the kitchen, and it's still dead. Any poking around beyond that, and I'll end up shocking myself stiff with 110 V current, which as I'm sure you know isn't as fun as it sounds." Mr. A-1 replies, "Yeah, but it's still going to be a breaker, and I don't want to charge you for a service call if I can walk you through this." So, back out to the panel box with the phone and an assortment of tools (massive skull, hammer, monkey wrench, corkscrew, bow-saw, and garden hose), and 10 minutes later the problem is fixed thanks to A-1's nifty tech support hotline. A-1 isn't usually going to be free, of course, but I got a big whiff of integrity that went a long ways toward masking the stench of the puke electrician who stood me up. read more

Nathan is honest, professional and cares about the work he does for you. I had him install a ceiling fan on one room and move the old fan to another. I didn't have the 4" pole for the old fan and told him to use the extra pole from the new fan even though it wouldn't match. Without saying anything, Nathan cut down the old pole for us so it would match. We are very pleased with his work and have had him back for more jobs. We highly recommend him and his pricing is very fair. read more

Super easy to schedule and work with Nathan! Bought a new stove. The delivery man took one look at the wiring to the electrical outlet and said "I'm not going to plug that in, but you can plug it in at your own risk" Some of the wires looked toasted. Of course my wife was not a happy camper. We had already been without a stove for a week, this was on a Saturday. Had never had a need for a electrician before so I did some research and found A-1. The words "Family owned" and "Small jobs welcome" caught my eye. Boy am I glad they did. Called A-1, the guy that answered knew exactly what my problem was. He had his technician call me within a half hour and set up a appointment Monday a.m. He arrived promptly. The existing outlet was in a hard to get at location in a cabinet. I thought we were going to have to move it. Since I was at work, he explained to my wife that we could move it but it was going to be quite a bit more money. He suggested to just leave it where it was. He checked the wiring and put in a heavier duty outlet. Cost was less than $100.00. I Highly recommend A-1, lots of old fashioned customer service and plenty of integrity. read more

I had an electrical problem that Nathan resovled over the phone. He used his knowledge of the construction of the homes in my development to walk me through the process. I woke up to the smell of burning plastic and quickly realised an outlet in the kitchen was defective - a crockpot was plugged into it and the plug was melted into the outlet. I called A-1 and they happened to be nearby, they showed up within 20 minutes and quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue. I'm female and don't know anything about electricity so was steeling myself to be condescended too, but refreshingly the technician was very respectful and explained the situation in laymen terms so I could understand both this issue, and potential future issues down the road as a result of faulty wiring that I didn't previously know about. He even explained that my kitchen was not up to code and his repair fixed that issue. I had been afraid of a house fire (the unit was charred black when it wss removed) and A-1 really gave me peace of mind while being efficient, courteous, and affordable. Highly recommend.
