I first noticed the paint bubbling near the hinge in the first year. But it wasn't worth bringing in till there was at least 2 panels or more because after 4 years I had bubbling at both doors and hood area. I went to a few of my friend's repair shops to get recommendations. One said avoid RDCC. I ended up going to a few shops and most were not aware of the latest guidelines released this March effective August 1. The latest warranty covers replacement panels for pitted corrosion. And I didn't expect 2nd party collision repair locations to know it. They said it can be done in 3 days. They did it in 2.5 days. The paint match wasn't perfect slight lighter in tint. Could use a touch or red and black. I understand color matching panels can be difficult and prefer that the original paint from the body or tub not be blended since the repairs are rarely as good as the original. As far as longevity. In my opinion it was still acceptable they transferred my vin stickers from door to door and included the original in center console. I have a good feeling it was done to the latest guidelines and hope the corrosion process is now over with the new hinge preparation and shims. Only time will tell. I'll know after 1-2 years. Overall a great experience as they submitted my warranty got approved and had the parts ready for paint in a week. The shop that maintains my car, Ray's OK Service, recommended I go to Quinn Auto Body. "You'll love them!" they said. They were right! Quinn's is a family-owned, multi-generational business owned by father-son duo Pat and Tim Quinn. The unassuming shop a block or so behind the VA hospital complex on National Avenue is home to some exceptional detail and great service. I dealt with Tim at the beginning stages of getting my car fixed. He carefully wrote up an estimate for me and I was off to the claims adjuster. I was glad I visited Quinn first. I felt their estimate was thorough and fair, and I felt the claims adjuster was not fairly representing my interest in getting my 8 year-old car repaired. The documentation was good leverage in dealing with the insurance company and making sure my interests were represented. It took a week for my car to get fixed, a little bit past the three days we anticipated. Part of the problem occurred when a parts supplier shipped a hood that had to be rejected because it did not meet Quinn's quality standards. Quinn made good on a delay that I don't think was their fault. They provided me with a loaner car free of charge so I could get to where I needed to go. I felt well taken care of. When I returned after my car was finished, I was delighted. There was my car, looking shiny, polished and spiffed up like it had taken a trip to the spa. It was clean, spiffed up in the interior, all back together and fixed. I was happy to get the payment settled and drive home in my beloved car. The father, Pat worked with me at the end of the transaction. He was a delightful businessman. He told me with pride how the beautiful 1964 Corvair convertible in his showroom was built the year he graduated from high school, and told stories about the vintage bright orange Allis-Chalmers tractor, stored in the shop, that meant a lot to him as a West Allis native. As I contrasted this experience in my mind with the plain vanilla facade and interior of the insurance-recommended shop I was really happy with my decision. I would refer Quinn Auto Body to anyone who wants quality workmanship and attention to detail. I am pleased and delighted with the work they did on my car.

I hate to report of my very disappointing experience with Authentic Auto…read more I have an older vintage 73 Dodge that had power window problems- in particular the driver side window failing to close and stuck open. Jim was friendly and assured me that both windows would be repaired and I left the car there confident I made the correct decision. The car needed to have window regulators ordered and considering the age of the car there were availability problems. Quite understandable if it weren't for the fact that most people want there car back within a reason amount of time. To me reasonable does not mean - not having the car for 3 + weeks for a window repair It is definitely reasonable to me to be unhappy to Jim's response to me when I asked for a time line that the car be ready? The response was in so many words "we will get to it when we can "-not acceptable to most people. Finally after I called his shop and said I've waited long enough and I will come over and get the car-then the car was done in a day later. The cost of repairing the windows was an unbelievable 880 dollars! To me this amounts to be A LOT of money 6+ hours of electrical troubleshooting I do not buy at all. While car electrical is different from equipment I worked on as a maintenance electrician the basic principles still apply. Power goes from the fuse box to the door window switch and from the switch to one plug to the window motor. Hard to believe it took 6+ hours regardless of the shape the overall wiring being in. What made matters worst was when I called to report the right side window did not work I was told it is time to get rid of the ####### power windows. I will agree that hand cranks are the way to go to me though that's beside the point . The car should of had no issues after spending an amount that would be reasonable for a new transmission or a new exhaust system. Paying close to $1000 on a half fast window repair is enough for me to never consider to go back or recommend to others
