Terrible experience!!! don't use them!!! took 2 weeks longer than expected with no communication! Car star took an extra 2 weeks on a job that should have taken a few days. They gave me the date to bring my car in and still took that long. They did my estimate and should have had this planned better. They didn't tell me it would be a 2 week job or offer a rental or even tell me to find my own rental. I even drove by the garage and saw my car parked in the parking lot with no work done on it for a few days. After the first week I was called on Friday at about 4pm and told it would be another week and given no explanation. I was told that "these things take time". On Thursday of the second week I called them and asked on the progress and I was told that they ordered parts, but weren't sure they'd have them on time since they came broken and had to re order. If I wouldn't have called I likely would have had to wait another weekend with zero communication. In this phone call I had to wait on hold for quite a while while they figured out what was even happening. They still didn't know and had to call me back. It wasn't until my Dad got on the phone and asked for an explanation they finally said they'd have my car done the next day and had parts issues. Overall, I so so so don't recommed this place. Im not a bad person to work with, all I need is a little communication. I understand that they might be backed up, and shipment issues are likely out of their control. but that was so so so bad for so many reasons. As a single female trying to take care of herself they mistreated me. I called my insurance provider and told them not to recommend Car Star anymore. My agent said they had another customer complain about them as well and would take Car Star off their list of places they recommend. Rodney was my point of contact with Carstar and was awful. He was unhelpful, made me feel like i was an inconvience, and didnt take me serious until my dad called for me. My insurance provider even said another person had complained about Rodney as well. As a "Preferred partner" of the "other party's" insurance company, I brought my damaged vehicle here for a collision repair estimate. What A huge run around! I had to wait for weeks until someone could examine my car! Finally, fed up with CarSta's stalling tactics, I contacted the "other party's" insurance company about my claim. I was informed that an estimated repair slip was just received! (Convenient, right!) Had a great experience after the front-end of my Honda was damaged. The accident and the repair occurred in mid-October 2016. Great communication, very professional and very thorough Greatly appreciated the courtesy interior cleaning and detail Clean facility I have never been in an accident before, so I had to learn the process. The staff is friendly place is clean but its the little things like i pulled in their parking lot and parked next to my suv that was getting the work done on and just gave it a quick look over before i walked into get the keys and pay my deductible so i noticed the inner wheel well that was replaced had all the pop rivets in place but the screws were all just hanging there so i walked inside to do what i had to do and i let them know that the screws were not tighten down they got a guy right on it cool so i walked out to lock it up and leave sense the wife was at work couldn't drive both vehicles and just before i got into my truck i noticed there was tape residue on the back driver passenger window so i went back in there and he came out and was like yep there is like he didn't believe me so i just asked if they could clean it off and we would be back later to get it well wife called me and said the car wasn't cleaned at all and she said who ever clean it didn't do a good job and they couldn't even figure out that the weather tech floor mats were on the wrong sides driver was in the passenger and the passenger was in the driver lol really! It's been 33 days since I left my car at Carstar. My car wasn't in a bad crash (or any kind of crash.) it was in a hail storm. All the damage was on the surface. I understand COVID is affecting everybody and i expected some delay, but 33 days (and counting) to replace and paint a few parts? It might not have been so bad if they had communicated why it was taking so long, but I've heard virtually nothing from them (everything I have been told came through the insurance company. ) I called them this afternoon, since I hadn't hear from them and I wonder if they would have bothered to call today to tell me that, once again, my car would not be ready on the promised date. Supposedly my car will be ready on Monday, but since this is the fourth date they promised it would be done by, I have no reason to believe I'll actually get my car back then either. Took my 2016 Chevy Silverado into car star I hit a deer front end damage took him two weeks to get it completed never called me I had to call him after a week then it was finally done I went and picked it up brought it home there except for three days and my garage I happen to notice a big scrape and the front bumper I called them up and told them about it they said bring the truck back in will take a look at it when I got in there they said all that that wasn't there before you brought it in and that scraped we would have never gave it back to you looking like that well then his excuse was looks like maybe a shopping cart hit it I told him I said it hasn't been out of my garage since I haven't got it back from you so more or less I was on my own my suggestion is make sure you have someone from The Body Shop come out and inspect your truck with you before you leave which they didn't do with me I will be taking my business elsewhere read more
