Worst florist ever!! I've had 3 deliveries in the past 3 years and they were a disaster each time. This place is a not in a brick and mortar building. The quality of the flowers are horrible. They die within 2-3 days. The sender was texted on 12/19 stating the arrangement was delivered. I received a call late on 12/20 stating it was being delivered. The arrangement arrived "naked" - no box, no plastic wrap, and it was left on my front porch. I watered it when it arrived and water poured out of the bottom of the container, obviously it was cracked in every corner. The mint green carnations looked fine on Friday night, on Saturday morning they were brown and crisp around the edges - from being left in a vehicle, perhaps, and it froze ?? I don't know. By Sunday morning they were totally brown and crisp all over. I ruined a brand new Christmas runner due to the badly leaking container the flowers were in. I tried calling several times, no answer. I left a message, no return call. I sent an email, no response, and I also sent 6 photos of the dead, crisp carnations. They die thee within 2-3 days. Carson Valley Florist just ruined my Mother's Day . I ordered flowers through an online service several weeks in advance of Mother's Day to avoid any issues, because this was an important one to my family and I couldn't be there this year. The florist reported that the flowers had been delivered on Saturday, but when I called my mom on Mother's Day there was nothing. I called FTD and asked why they reported this if it wasn't true, and they reached out to Carson Valley Florist for redelivery. Well, turns out the driver got lost and they just reported it delivered. I was a little upset but asked them to redeliver and the driver said that he would. I got a happy call from my mom that she got her flowers, but when asked about my sisters (who is announcing her pregnancy today, with no flowers from us in TX thanks to Carson Valley Florist....) the other half of the order was still missing. My family are long residents of Gardnerville and I knew which florist it was, so I called directly and left a few messages as no one will answer their business line . Finally this irritated woman answers the phone, and starts going off about how she only answered because she saw I called six times and she hasn't slept in days because of customers like me who place last minute orders online and expect her to "make flowers magically appear". I asked about my order and if she could check to see if it was one that was still in the store and with the trashiest tone said she would not be going through all the online order from people "like me" who just do it last minute just to check. She was clearly upset and I told her I ordered weeks ago and the other half of the order was delivered and was supposed to be there yesterday (not to mention BOTH flower orders were on the same FTD order) She then goes on about how it's our fault because the driver couldn't find the road because on his google maps he got confused with the street addresses, and that she wouldn't debate me all day, but really at this point she was just raising her voice into the phone and bullying me around. I couldn't even respond to her, she was a wreck. Now, with Gardnerville being the huge metropolitan area it is, I understood this and asked her to just please deliver the flowers I bought because my sister would only be there today. She said there was nothing she could do and to call her back in a couple of days after she has slept , and that MAYBE she would be polite then. I was in shock, SHOCK! This is Gardnerville, people are supposed to be kind here. I just gave up and got off the phone with this woman, called FTD and complained about not only the service but SPECIFICALLY about Carson Valley Florist, and recommended they be taken off the list. I was refunded my money for this awful experience and unbelieveable customer service. FTD was very apologetic to have been represented so poorly. Going forward, and my family buys ALOT of flowers for our ranch, will NEVER use this florist again because of that offensive service, and woman. I learned my lesson, always ask FTD or 1800flowers which local florist they are ordering through, and when you find a good one, stick to it, don't leave it up to chance! I am leaving a response to the florist that responded to my earlier review. We ordered our mothers day flowers through our local florist. Our local florist uses Teleflora and FTD. These are both nationally known, well recognized and respected companies. I wish you had bothered to contact me personally to find out what happened and how our order was initially processed before you went off on a rant and lectured me about how we used a disreputable company to place our order. When first contacted by our hometown florist, you told them that the flowers were delivered. This was an absolute lie. You even said you had a photo of the flowers on the recipient's porch (although none was ever provided). No flowers were ever delivered. Then you told our local florist that the flowers were stolen. Also a lie. How can you steal something that was never there? Which is it? You got the order but lied about delivering it OR you never got the order but lied to Teleflora? A reputable business would have called back and tried to resolve the situation and at least explain what was going on. However you chose to ignore me. I question the validity of your business. Maybe once upon a time you were a real florist but now it appears that this is a sham business. Again, no store front. Nothing to indicate that you're a business. To potential customers, I urge you to read the earlier reviews and I urge you to look elsewhere and find a reputable florist locally. I wish I had. I urge you to not use this florist. read more

Absolutely poor customer service, ordered flowers through Teleflora, they used this company to deliver flowers to my Mother for Mother's Day. Issue #1) they were supposed to deliver by 1 pm the Friday before and never showed! Issue #2) they were supposed to deliver first thing Monday, they arrived at 5pm! Issue #3) the flower arrangement was supposed to be a beautiful wicker basket with purple bows and butterflies, beautiful purple violets inside. She received a cheap, what looked to be old Easter basket (complete with Easter grass!), no ribbons or butterflies (sorry we didn't have any), one cluster of violets that were purple and alive, and two clusters of sickly half pink violets that were in the middle of dying! Issue #4) I called and spoke to "one of the owners" tried to discuss this and was promptly told that they don't have to match the basket, and that she didn't want to speak with me if I was going to tell her that they did a poor job She then hung up on me! I can assure you I have worked in customer service all my life and I know how to speak to someone within reason, and not once did I cross the line that many people do. Her ultimate solution, "call Teleflora and have them reimburse you." Gee thanks for the apology for sending such a subpar arrangement to my mother, which you never gave. Thanks again for acknowledging that you didn't deliver when you were supposed to. Supposedly you thought that Taiyo America was a person, here's a thought, when you can't find the place why not call the number that was provided. If you make a mistake own it! (Customer service 101), and then make it right! (It's called going above and beyond to build your business) evidently building the business is not your ultimate goal! In the future I would suggest not trying to be a florist as this is definitely not your strength! read more

There's a new creative mind in town and I couldn't be happier. I received Valentine's flowers from my boyfriend who heard about the new local florist and I cried. Crystal listened to him about what i liked and made it personal for me. She could of thrown flowers together just like a picture, like other local florists have done for me in the past, but she didn't. My arrangement looked nothing like anything else I've ever seen. Ordered more flowers from her just recently for sympathy for my mom's sister passing and again, I couldn't imagine anything better! Very disappointing experience. Flowers not even close to what was ordered. Supposed to have been a basket arrangement with ribbon, bow and decorations. Just a basket no liner, filled with easter grass and some wilted plants. Not delivered when promised. Delivered three days late. Florist made no attempt to contact. Very rude when I contacted to express my disapointment. Was told that I was lucky to get the flowers. Flowers ordered through Telafora. Florist was not even in the vicinity of where they were supposed to be delivered. Teleflora not helpful either only offered a small discount. CARSON VALLEY FLORISTS...Even a "One Star Rating" is too kind for this florist! Ordered flowers from FTD on a Saturday for delivery on Monday. Needless to say the flowers didn't arrive. I called FTD. They checked with the florist and the florist said the flowers had been delivered! THEY LIED! I was then told by FTD that they would be delivered on Tuesday. The flowers didn't arrive Tuesday. Carson Valley Florists said they couldn't deliver the flowers on Tuesday because, are you ready for this, it was too windy! So they lied again! Finally the flowers arrived on Wednesday. No apology from the florist. I have requested that FTD never use this florist again. Coincidently, I won't use FTD again either because when I called them they wouldn't let me have the contact info for this florist. I had to get it from the family receiving the flowers. EMBARRASSING. I received a Christmas bouquet (not like pictured) from my daughter. I watered daily like the instructions said. The roses must have been old because they never opened and after 3 days the roses were black and I tried to remove the most outer petals and the rose heads fell off and were rotten in the middle (five roses). The other flowers were black around the edge when they came. The temperature was 34 when delivered. Was that the cause of my dismay? Or were old flowers used. The bouquet wasn't nice at Christmas....it made me so sad to see. I will be calling Carson Valley florist tomorrow to find out what can be done. Rating with one star. read more

This doesn't start out good but ends great. Called at 8:37 this morning. The person answering the phone did so without announcing the name of the business, just a worn out "hello" that came across as though the person was 'put out' by having to answer the phone. Thinking I had dialed the wrong number, I asked if this was Carson Valley Florist. I was informed that they were not open yet, and again, in a worn out way asked if they could help me. My answer was, "apparently not". This was all I wrote and was getting ready to send when I received a call back with a very nice apology and a Christmas Greeting. Thank you so much for the lesson in humility and forgiveness Carson Valley Florist.
