Our family paid $903.84 for two floral arrangements from Carson City Florist, to be delivered for…read moreour mother's burial service, but they were never received. Carson City Florist's owner, Tom Jones refused to refund any of our money. He claimed it was not his fault due to errors made by Walton's Funeral Home. However, his story includes the fact that he misdelivered the floral arrangements to the wrong casket, and failed to confirm the name of the person in the casket, who was not our mother, which was clearly listed on his work order. None of that is due to any fault of ours. We are simply a family in mourning. We can't re-do the burial. We should at the very least receive a refund. Walton's Funeral Home offered to refund us their cost of the burial service, $595. We felt that was fair and accepted their offer. Carson City Florist Tom Jones refuses to even discuss refunding us the balance of $308.84. He stated outright that he will not refund any amount without us taking him to court. Small claims court costs $111 to file, plus the cost of a process server. To date, we have not received an apology nor a refund in any amount for products and services that we paid for and never received from Carson City Florist.

We were both impressed with the variety of colors and flowers contained within the vase, and of course the kindness behind it. But! There was one key downside from this most excellent floral experience - Cats! When the vase arrived, we placed it front and center on the fireplace mantle. A few minutes later, we let the cats in from the garage, and our Boychik cat made a bee line for it and jumped up to have a sniff and a nibble. We then put it on a lower surface, which allowed both cats to enjoy (when we weren't looking), and later knock it all over. On that note, it's been hard to fully enjoy the experience with the vase either in the sink, or hidden behind closed doors at night or when we're gone. And despite of all this feline drama, are we looking forward to the next bouquet (for any reason)? Absolutely!

Although we did not always agree with all of her suggestions (she's sort of a "throw it at the wall and see what sticks" kind of person), she was always extremely receptive to our input and never gave us any pushback if we decided to take another route. She fixed issues the day-of that we weren't even aware of until after the fact, which made our day all the better. Felicia is friendly, hardworking, and we would wholeheartedly suggest her for you wedding coordination needs. Felicia Gantar was worth every penny.

LOTSW has a few different tiers of what they have to offer with their appropriate price points. Due to COVIID and our wedding being elopement style, Rev. Dorie was kind enough to let me customize my package. You will be keeping the price point of course, but she was nice enough to let me swap things like providing my own flowers and trading those fees for more photos instead. I have to say, she captured some of the most incredible moments and I could not have asked for anything better. We got married on 8.26.2021 and it was in the midst of everything bad in S. Lake Tahoe. We originally lost our spot we booked a year in advanced, (Emerald Bay) but Dorie did everything she could to make sure that she was able to find a spot that was still open and available so we did not lose out on the opportunity to get married since it was coming down to the wire. (2 days after we left everyone was evacuated) To chime in with people are saying in regards to Dorie and her attitude. Dorie is a professional and she is a bit older. She has been doing this a long time and she knows what she is doing and how she wants it done. Her issue is with people not listening to her, people not following the instructions they were told, people being in her personal space, and things like that. People tend to not realize that when she is taking pictures, they close in on her because they want to get the shot too and it leaves her no room to move and she has to tell people to please back up over and over. She has to remind people "this is what we are doing or this is where we are going" and after 2 or 3 times yes, the annoyance is on her face and apparent and I honestly don't blame her because it does take a long time. We arent natural models so yes, we dont always get the poses she is asking us to do or what she means and she does get frustrated, I could see she was a bit annoyed with me and my husband because we are not naturals LOL. Overall it was a wonderful experience and she did every and anything she could to make it a great day despite the natural disaster around us. I would highly recommend LOTSW to anyone.
