While it's a smaller market, it packs a serious punch when it comes to both quality and value. The Haul: I was blown away by the pricing compared to the other farmers market. We walked away with three bushels of berries for just $13 and gorgeous orange watermelons for $5 each. What to expect: Beyond the produce, they have a great selection of eggs, fresh seafood, and plenty of veggies. If you're coming hungry, definitely grab a bite the tamales and pupusas were absolutely delicious. This is officially our new go-to. There is one bakery, one produce vendor, one honey guy, one jewelry vendor - you get the idea. That said, the vendors that are there are extremely nice, helpful, you never feel pressured, and you can try most of the product before purchase. There's a variety of food offerings from Asian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Pupusas, etc. and theres tables and chairs at the very end of the market that usually has musicians playing while you enjoy your eats. This is a once a month visit for me as it's essentially the same thing every week BUT make sure you visit around holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas for additional vendors and entertainment.

It was empty and less people. There's a pay parking meter, and the minimum is $2 for just 30 minutes so right from the start, it felt a bit off. Once I parked, I walked through, and the market itself was really tiny: probably about 20 to 30 vendors in total. You can walk the whole thing in less than five minutes, and the variety was really limited. For example, there was only one vendor selling berries, and the food options were scarce and just didn't look appetizing. The prices were high for what little you got. I probably won't be coming back, maybe I just missed something, but it didn't live up to the hype. On the bright side, there was live music, which was really nice, and the neighborhood felt safe with police presence, plus they did have restrooms available. But overall, it just didn't have that special charm I was hoping for.

You could definitely find fruits, vegetables, yogurt, breads, and honey; however, what brings this from 3 stars to 4 stars are the variety of food vendors that attend the market. As you drive by, you'll tend to see about five to eight food trucks serving Jamaican, Philly Cheesesteaks, Birria, Tacos, Pupusas, Churros, and American BBQ. My favorite vendors here are Battambong BBQ, which has a great reputation for their barbecue with Cambodian flavors and Churros Don Abel Jr, for their made-to-order churros. Unfortunately, Battambong was not present this week (as the chef was on vacation for the week), but I'll be back soon for Battambong's delicious smoked brisket and Cambodian-style sausages. Overall, this is a small, local farmer's market with excellent food choices; however, you can definitely find the fresh fruits and vegetables if that's what you seek.

While I didn't have much luck finding organic produce, I discovered some incredible vendors that made the trip worthwhile. La Lemonade was outstanding! My nieces and I each ordered mixed lemonades, and my guava and mango combination was absolutely delicious. It was refreshing, flavorful, and one of the highlights of our visit. We also stopped at Hook Line for fresh-caught salmon. The owner was friendly, welcoming, and happy to share samples of his delicious spread along with cooking tips and recipe ideas. Excellent customer service and beautiful seafood. The chipotle beef tamale, chipotle chicken tamale, and the twisted potato were all delicious and definitely worth trying. The true star of the market, though, was Chaupain Bakery. Everything looked incredible, and it was difficult to narrow down our choices. We ended up with a guava cheese Danish, sticky bun, carrot cake, and cinnamon swirl. Every pastry was exceptional, and the owner's kindness and genuine hospitality made the experience even more memorable. I'd happily return just for the bakery. My only suggestion would be for Vicente Family Farms to ensure ALL customers are greeted and treated with the same level of courtesy, attention, and respect. I will be skipping that stand. Overall, although I didn't find the organic fruits and vegetables I was hoping for, the amazing food, pastries, seafood, and welcoming vendors far outweighed that disappointment. We had a wonderful afternoon, and there are several businesses here that I'll definitely return to support.
