It's smaller than the markets I regularly frequent but it has the essentials you need, one veggie vendor and one fruit vendor. The layout is great, utilizing the space allocated for this event well and the vendors I interacted with were friendly and accepted payments other than cash. Love that Kaiser has partnered with this market, as to me it's a sign that they're putting their money where their mouth is, by providing members with access to locally sourced healthy foods.

While it's a smaller market, it packs a serious punch when it comes to both quality and value. The Haul: I was blown away by the pricing compared to the other farmers market. We walked away with three bushels of berries for just $13 and gorgeous orange watermelons for $5 each. What to expect: Beyond the produce, they have a great selection of eggs, fresh seafood, and plenty of veggies. If you're coming hungry, definitely grab a bite the tamales and pupusas were absolutely delicious. This is officially our new go-to. Most of the vendors are very kind and approachable, with the exception of one that I had a not so great interaction with. But the good thing about that is that there are PLENTY of options. There is one bakery, one produce vendor, one honey guy, one jewelry vendor - you get the idea. That said, the vendors that are there are extremely nice, helpful, you never feel pressured, and you can try most of the product before purchase. There's a variety of food offerings from Asian, Mediterranean, Mexican, Pupusas, etc. and theres tables and chairs at the very end of the market that usually has musicians playing while you enjoy your eats. This is a once a month visit for me as it's essentially the same thing every week BUT make sure you visit around holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas for additional vendors and entertainment.

It was empty and less people. There's a pay parking meter, and the minimum is $2 for just 30 minutes so right from the start, it felt a bit off. Once I parked, I walked through, and the market itself was really tiny: probably about 20 to 30 vendors in total. You can walk the whole thing in less than five minutes, and the variety was really limited. For example, there was only one vendor selling berries, and the food options were scarce and just didn't look appetizing. The prices were high for what little you got. I probably won't be coming back, maybe I just missed something, but it didn't live up to the hype. On the bright side, there was live music, which was really nice, and the neighborhood felt safe with police presence, plus they did have restrooms available. But overall, it just didn't have that special charm I was hoping for.

This is from a legit vendor,so I feel like I can trust that at worst they offer pretty "ok" tamales. I had the chicken and in my humble opinion, it's pretty tasty. The masa is soft and the chicken mixture inside has a nice flavor...made even better with a bit of salsa they provide. Is it toe curling or even craving inducing, mmm...probably not. But on a nice morning strolling through the Farmer's Market, it's nice. Oh! And they offer a delicious horchata beverage that comes in a large size. THAT earns them another star.
